I've seen the Red Sox fans give MANY opposing pitchers standing ovations, and its one thing to give them a standing O when they are leaving...BUT NOT A CURTAIN CALL. Anyways, How bout them Phillies? A standing ovation for a home pitcher's mediocre outing is pretty much the equivalent to a curtain call for a home team's go-ahead homerun. Seriously, you guys get on me for starting stupid stuff...OMGZ TEH YANKEZ FANZ SEL OUT WIT TEH CURTN CALLZ1!!!1 Apparently, Mussina is out of the rotation and Kennedy or Steven White is getting his next start. RIP Moose's career.

Moose out of the rotation, Ian Kennedy to start on Saturday.
Moose is done as a Yankee probably. I doubt he'll start another game. He'll come in and mop up when somebody gets shelled.

I'm glad Mussina is out of the rotation, but seriously...before the season started who in their right mind could have predicted that by the end of September Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain, and Ian Kennedy would all be pitching in the majors for the Yankees?

You get so offensive when people make fun of your Yankees.
I love the curtain calls, they need to do em after they take massive dumps

Dice-K would have gotten a standing ovation after the first inning today if the game was at Fenway.

and aren't you the one thug bitching about stupid arguments, yet you make a comment like that? Lol...look who's talking. You and Ralpho were the ones who even made a comment in the first place when you whined about Yankees fans giving Johnny Damon a curtain call for God's sake. I just kept it going because: A. It's hilarious. B. It's incredibly stupid. C. I can't believe this is even a real argument. If I came out of the blue and said something like that you KNOW you both would be all over me about how stupid it is. And don't even try and deny it, either. No no no, its awful and showboating when Papelbon fist pumped, but its cool when Joba does it. Funny that you'd bring that up when I never even said anything about it. I don't mind showing SOME enthusiasm, but I think there's a time and a place for it. I don't think Papelbon overdoes it...I think guys like Zumaya and K-Rod are the most ridiculous when it comes to stuff like that. K-Rod, especially, acts like he closed out Game 7 of the World Series every single time he converts a save opportunity.

I know you guys might now agree, but I think the Orioles might be the worst franchise in baseball. I know the D-Rays, Royals, Rangers, etc. all suck majorly, but the Orioles are a team who I think has all the offensive tools they need to win right now, but have absolutely no leadership or personality. The managing situation is just an entire joke, the pitching is a mess. They have a lot of bright stars on that team who should be producing results. Roberts, Tejada, Mora, Herandez and even Millar are all quality veterans. Plus, you also have kids like Markakis and Corey Patterson who still hasn't reached their prime yet.
The team just has absolutely no direction as to where they're going. If this team had a real manager to guide them in the right direction and they were willing to go out and spend money on more pitching, I think they could be a serious contender. They certainly have all the offensive tools...
I just think the whole thing with Tejada starting that game to extend the consecutive games record only to go on the DL THE NEXT DAY was such a low point for this franchise and was a reflection of everything that's wrong with the team.

yea I agree with you thug, Tejada playing in the next game just to reach base and get pulled out and put on the DL the next day was very low. The key problem they need to focus on is pitching, besides Bedard they really have no one else, maybe Chris Ray but Chris Ray just had surgery and is out for not only this year but next year aswell. They certainly have the offense to win games, but without a good pitching staff they're never gonna do anything spectacular. I really feel for Leo Mazzone, he just went there to be with his buddy Perlozzo, he was canned and now he's stuck with one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball. their problem is that they have veterans not cutting it and doing well for them.
Now the problem with the D-rays is that they have a bunch of young players who are making them bad, i mean they really have no money to go out and get key free agents, so they have to rush up these people to the big leagues much faster than they would be if they were on any other major league team. so they've never really had an established veteran who could lead the team.

The whole Tejada situation was especially a low-class move considering Ripken was the guy who set the original record ON THE ORIOLES, lol. It'd be one thing if Tejada was on the Dodgers or a team that had nothing to do with Ripken, but if I was Cal Jr. I would feel like it was a slap in the face to the organization he spent his entire career with. Really, it's no wonder why Girardi didn't want the job there.
You also have to remember that they also have Benson, too. If he gets healthy, they could provide a quality 1-2 punch with him and Bedard. They also need to figure out what they're going to do with Daniel Cabrera. I don't care what kind of stuff he has...the kid is working with the best pitching coach in baseball and he still can't throw strikes. Apparently, the Orioles have tried to get him to chane things mechanically in his delivery, but he refuses to change. Eventually, I think they're going to have to give up on him. If Mazzone can't fix him, who can?
You're right about their bullpen, too...I have no idea what they're going to do if Ray is already showing arm problems. I think the Orioles had something good in Chris Britton last year, but for some reason they decided to trade him for Jaret Wright who they could have just signed as a FA if they waited 2 days later. It's stuff like this that makes you scratch your head as to what the organization is trying to accomplish.
