Wiggy is useless to you guys, hes a poor mans Mark Loretta whos a poor mans bench player.
The Astros arent going anywhere, why deal a decent reliever for a platoon guy for Mike Lamb.

You act as if Dan Wheeler is some all star player, the guy has been horrible as all the relief pitching so its not a blow we dont already have. I'll give it time, like i did with Woody Williams who i have come to the conclusion is ing garbage

Wheeler has value thats the thing, and hes a good set up guy. Wigginton cant hit righties and is a poor mans Mark Loretta.
Relievers are more valuable than platoon players to a 2nd to last place team.

Wigginton has a .275 BA, 16 homeruns and 49 RBI's in 98 games this season Not too horrendous considering what team he is on

The Central is most def a race now, wow. 2.5 for the Cubs, after today I think the Cubs can take the Brewers, I dont like the Cubs rotation or their pen that much but the Brewers are just bad at times.

Think anybody will Take Ensberg Ralpho?
even for a crappy Prospect?
Edit:
"Purpura said the Astros will announce a corresponding roster move Sunday, likely adding a pitcher to the staff"
Ok now im scared, hopefully its Ensberg for a pitcher otherwise its destined to fail
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Richard Justice with a blog on this:
You'll love Ty Wigginton. Purpura makes a nice trade.
You're going to love his work ethic and personality and effort. Ty Wigginton's teammates called him ''Lunch Pail'' because of his blue-collar approach to the game. People absolutely love the guy. Tampa Bay Joe Maddon recently said: ''We need more guys like him.'' Wigginton has played first, second, left and right, but his best position is third base. That's where the Astros expect him to play for the next several seasons.
Here's the down side. His defense is nothing special. He has trouble turning the double play. If the Astros ever planned to build around pitching and defense in 2008, this trade isn't a great start.
His clutch hitting declined significantly from last season. He's hitting .254 with runners in scoring position. But his .267 career batting average is respectable, nothing more.
Here's why the move makes sense. As the Astros look toward 2008, they believe they're set in just three places: left field (Carlos Lee), first base (Lance Berkman) and another outfield slot (Hunter Pence). Every other position is up for discussion.
Tim Purpuras greatest challenge will be finding a catcher. That's where he must devote his energy and resources over the winter. He also needed a third baseman and saw no one on his roster or in free agency that excited him. A-Rod might excite, but at $30-million-a-season and the desire for a bigger market, it wasn't going to happen. Mike Lowell is the next-best option, but may not leave Boston.
So on Saturday afternoon, Purpura made an under-the-radar deal, sending Dan Wheeler to the Devil Rays for Wigginton. In the end, he decided Wigginton was good enough to fill the void at third. They have him under their control for two more seasons, meaning he can devote resources to finding a catcher and strengthening the rotation.
This move speaks volumes about how the Astros are approaching the trading deadline. They're neither buyers nor sellers. They're looking for pieces to put in place for 2008 while getting better in 2007.
I'm guessing he'd trade Mark Loretta, Mike Lamb and Jason Jennings, but that's a guess. I think there's no chance that either Chad Qualls or Brad Lidge will go anywhere.
As for Morgan Ensberg, well, it was nice while it lasted. He had two very solid seasons. It's hard to remember that he was an All-Star as recently as 2005. But he has declined badly the last two seasons. I excused last year's performance to a bum shoulder and believed he had a chance to bounce back this season. I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

This is why the Yankees won't make the playoffs, they are too streaky. It is impossible to make up any ground when they are good for a week and then they go into a funk where they can't score for a week.
I can not for the life of me imagine how with the players in this lineup that they can come out here and be UNABLE to score runs. And don't give me that bullsh*t of "oh well you aren't facing the D-Rays anymore, Yanks can't hit good pitching"....We don't exactly have a crappy rotation, the Yankees are losing with Chien-Ming Wang, Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte on the mound, but they are losing 1-0, 3-2 and 4-3 games....we aren't getting pounded we just can't score and it pisses me off.
Yanks are losing with Clemens pitching and getting 1-hit by some Richie Cunningham look-a-like who has 4 career wins. Unbelievable.
