well. lately on tv, and even when i'm at blue jay games, i never understand why people wear boston, new york, or any other teams clothing/hats while at games. for example. at the blue jays home opener when i was there, there was a guy wearing a red sox jersey in the section next to us, and when i went to the next game a few weeks back, there was a guy wearing a mets jersey and a yankees hat. even in the stanley cup finals, there was a guy there wearing a leafs jersey (there being ottawa).
i understand that boston and new york are just popular logos that people know. but, i never fully understood why people go to sporting events, cheer for one team, and then have another teams hat/jerseys on, especially the guy with the mets jersey and yankees hat.

Maybe they're just fans of the sport, and want to watch another team play?

It might also be a case of it's easier for the fan to attend the Blue Jays game than a Yankees or Red Sox game, and at the end of the day Major League Baseball is still Major League Baseball.

A caps a cap. If I moved away from here, I'd still wear my Mets cap everywhere.

They could also be travelling for business, vacation, or whatever and might have put the cap on just to show that they're still a fan of baseball.

It's easier to get TV time if you're wearing the opposing teams jersey/apparel. Wearing a completely random team is different and not as cool.

I guess you is the fashion police now. I'm glad people show support in the sport rather than not at all.

I'm a Cubs fan in Colorado, but they only come here for 3 games a year, and I like baseball, so I often go to games that don't involve the Cubs, but I wear my Cubs hat because they are my favorite team.
