Note to Sather: Don't resign the black goaltender. Resign is a good thing...if he was re-signing him, I'd be pissed, lol.

Samsonov traded to the blackhawks. i really didn't see that happening. That one was actually rumoured way back at the trade deadline. Doesn't surprise me that he was traded, or that he landed in Chicago. Didn't hear of many other teams that actually wanted him.

Samsonov traded to the blackhawks. i really didn't see that happening. I'm glad he's out. He was a waste of talent the second he began to whine about ice time. They got Cullimore, who they already said they will buy out, and Salmeinien, who they hope will go play in Europe. Basically it was a way to lighten the load, and save some cap space. Now, I hope they trade Kovalev off, and make a good enough offer to Briere, and somehow get a defencemen to replace Sheldon. With the list of Free Agent defencemen, they're going to have to make a huge trade, or somehow woo Kimmo Timmonen away from the Flyers, which is the team he is most interested in. That, or hope that Tom Poti has the greatest season of his career if they sign him.

LMAO at the Predators. Time for the team to suck so they can be moved. Kariya will be gone, and I have a feeling Arnott might be traded for a draft pick. We shall see.

I knew Philadelphia was going for Timonen to mentor his little brother, but Hartnell as well? This is a quality signing for the Flyers, and now that they have Parent, Upshall, Timonen, and Hartnell from Nashville, I don't know if they'll contend this year, but they've drastically improved.

Yeah, Philly shouldn't be all that bad in a couple of years. I dunno if they'll be a playoff team next year, but they probably won't be finishing dead last, either.

as a Preds/Admirals fan... i was bummed that we lost Kimmo...... but I was never a fan of Hartnall or upshall for that matter. And the way our Admirals keep turning out good players it dosnt shock me.

now apparently neidermayer wants to retire. I mean I know he's played 14 seasons, but I mean he's still only 33.

Eh.. I like the colors and logo, but the jerseys are kind of blah.
I liked the white jerseys with the Eagle a lot, they should have stuck with that.

He doesn't need to do anything else in the NHL or play for anything. The passion, sure. But he can retire and be set for life at 33. Too be honest, I think he will.

I can totally see Neidermayer retiring, but it's not like Anaheim is screwed, even if Selanne goes as well. You've still got Pronger and Beacheumin (sp?) on the blue line.
