Wow. The Islanders are really desperate. They overpaid for Guerin for sure. Watch him not show up in the playoffs again, haha.

Weekes was a decent backup until he got hurt last year, but I think Montoya or Valliquette can fill his role just as equally behind Henrik. His salary was just too much for a backup goaltender, and Montoya is likely ready for the NHL. Are you serious? I thought he was a piece of shit. I'd easily take Valiquette over him. I hope the Rangers trade Montoya, they don't really need him, and I'd rather have them get value in return for him. I hated Weekes, I'm so glad he's gone. It could also be because he let up 5 goals in 2 periods in one of the games I went to last year against Ottowa. But overall I hated Weekes, and now that's 4-5 losses that the Devils will get next year. |

I actually wished we would have re-upper with Conklin. He is younger than Thibault and has a great amount of potential and severly underrated because of that blemish f*ckup in game 1 of the Cups finals. He woul dhave been a great backup.

Dom at 2 mil is a hell of a deal, and the incentives prevent Dom from, well, pulling a Dom and going down with a groin injury. I love the signing. Now maybe we'll reup Markov or find another depth defenseman. Markov, or a gritty stay at home defenseman is best.

It's a two-way, but I still expect the Leafs to trade Raycroft and get CuJo as Toskala's back-up.
