I have one hockey jersey. It's a replica, and it doesn't even have a name on the back. And that's pretty much it for me as far as jerseys go. Its all about name and number tees.

100+ for a article of clothing is a bit much, which is why I tend to stick with replicas.
Besides, when would I care if my jersey has a fight strap or not? When I get in fights in the street, I tend to leave it unstrapped.

Apparently there are heavy rumors of Patrick Elias (and another defenceman yet to be named) being traded to Vancouver for Ohlund, Morrison and a 1st Round draft pick.
I'm not too sure how i'd feel about that trade yet, but i think Elias would be a great centre for the Sedins.

Elias is a center?
I imagine it would be Elias - Henrik - Daniel.. ?
I dunno. I just didn't think Elias played center. Is it his natural position? I always see him on the wing.

The Elias trade is unlikely seeing as how he has a no-trade clause and reports say he wouldn't waive it for a trade to Vancouver. The Devils also are seen as a frontrunner for Souray. Also, here's a quick read that is very interesting and true on big market spending- msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/6988798

Andrew Peters did you see my post the page before we do not need another Center. A Winger would be nice, a top 4 d-man would be great and we need a backup goalie thats all. Connolly, Mair, Roy, Gaustad are all great as Centers

ya true, but we already got wingers and since Paille and Stafford are garanteed to stay up here, they can fill those spots.

Jiri Hudler re-signed with the Wings. Which is good, he's quick and can score.

Rangers re-sign forward Peter Prucha to a 2-year $3.2 million deal. Good, I bought his jersey this past year to add to my Lundqvist & Jagr, so glad I didn't waste $100+ on that. He's a very good young player so it was a no-brainer to re-sign him.

Kevin Weekes signs with the Devils.
So he might play like.. 5 games next year.

Yeah, same with Sanford...I mean he was kind of the number one guy with St. Louis, and I think Legace is a FA, so St. Louis isn't really set for goal tending next year. So Sanford is going from playing 31 quality games with the blues to about 3-4 with Vancouver. Unless the nucks decide to give Bobby Lu some slack now that they have a more solid back-up.

Weekes was a decent backup until he got hurt last year, but I think Montoya or Valliquette can fill his role just as equally behind Henrik. His salary was just too much for a backup goaltender, and Montoya is likely ready for the NHL.

I'm content with next years Wings, if Kenny is indeed done with signing. Hudler, Grigorenko (!!!!), Filpulla, and Kopecky are all ready to make the team. I'd rather develop our kids before overpaying for a Guerin, Bondra, Forsberg, etc.

And Guerin signs with New York Islanders for 2 years/9mils.
