Not sure if i'll get many responses here but i need help with my computer. So i got it built early last year and it worked perfectly fine, no issues at all. But in October Windows did an updated on my computer and since then it's been hell. (I'm running Windows 10)
Since that update, anything i do will come with a stutter - Cursor, video and audio. All of them will do this micro stutter every 1-3 seconds, example - I'm watching a video on Youtube (a music video), the song will play and every couple of second it'll just stutter, same with the video. I'll move my mouse and instead of it being a smooth movement, it'll move then skip up to where i have it (this skip also include the video/audio skip). Whether i'm watching a video, scrolling around on any sites, playing a game or anything, it'll do this stutter. So when this happened, i did the 'restore to a previous version of windows' after that, it worked perfectly again, like when i first got it. So fast forward about a month or so of it working beautifully and Windows (yet again) decides to update and it updates back to the version where it didn't work. (Might sound dumb but the version that worked, the bar next to the windows logo in the bottom left was black. And the version that doesn't work, the bar is white)
So it did the update and now i'm back to the version that doesn't work and to no surprise, the stutters come back, every 3-5 seconds or so now. So what i did was restart the computer and about 2/5 times it would work fine again, other times when i restarted it, it would work fine for about 10 minutes, then while watching any old video on Youtube, it would stutter again and not stop. Eventually i decided i'll 'restore to previous version of Windows' again since that worked the first time, i did that and for whatever reason the revert messed up and was on a continuous cycle or restoring and restarting (over and over) i couldn't even turn it on and use it because every time i did, that cycle would happen. I didn't cut the power or turn it off while reverting so i don't even know how it messed up. Eventually i gave up and took it to a professional only to be told there was no fixing that and i had to get a new copy of windows installed. Got a call from them asking if i would like Windows 7, 8 or 10 installed once they fixed everything and backed up my data. I said 8 since i didn't want to go as old as 7 but also didn't want to go back to 10, $350 later i turn my computer on to... Windows 10 and... you guessed it, stuttering! I took it back to them saying the stuttering was still present (i told them that was the reason i reverted back in the first place) another week without a computer and i get a call back, here i am thinking 'Thank god they found the issue and fixed it' but Nope! I get told 'We tested everything on it, used it as our audio PC for the day, played some games, stress tested it, everything and we can't find the problem' Thankfully they didn't charge me for this visit as it was under warranty, but i was annoyed that any time i try to use this PC it stutters like hell and is basically unusable, but when they have it, it works fine. Anyway, i take it back home and have a look around the control centre and recovery, seeing if i can (again) revert back, no option for that anymore so now i'm stuck with this.
A couple more weeks and my friends suggest another place that will almost guarantee find this issue as they've fixed their computers before. I take it there and another week later i get a call, yet again no luck. They couldn't find the issue either, i gave them everything (PC, headset, mouse, keyboard) to see if anything's wrong with them. But they still can't find the issue... Once again i take the PC home, plug it all in, turn it on and it still doesn't work right, still stutters and everything. It's to the point where i can't listen to anything or watch anything on this PC because the stutter just ruins anything that plays.
My only fix for this issue is temporary and that is about 2/5 times (again) i'll restart it and it'll work fine for the session i'm using it, or it'll work for 10, 20, 30 minutes and stutter again. I also started uninstalling the latest security update for windows and restarting the PC which again, 2/5 times will work.
Is there anyone out there experiencing or have experienced this problem? Anyone out there who can help me with this? This has been going on since October and i'm almost at the point where i'm going to punch a hole through this PC and get rid of it. Any help is appreciated
NOTE: As i was writing this, it worked fine only to randomly start stuttering again about halfway through as i was listening to a song.
