It's not so unpopular now, given his resurgence in Japan, but I've always thought that Don Callis/The Jackyl/Cyrus the Virus was immensely underrated as an overall performer.

I think HBK beating the Bulldog at One Night Only was actually a great booking decision to continue to get Nuclear heat on HBK at the time.

Now he's on Impact I believe? He and Scott D'Amore are co-executive vice presidents over at Impact. He's also one half of the English commentary team for NJPW with Kevin Kelly.

I absolutely despise Carmella's new wrestling singlet. Wish she would've stayed with the tights/tank combo.

Compared to today? The Attitude Era is ing garbage. The best era of wrestling was far and away the "Ruthless Aggression" era, with the "New Era" era right behind it. I'd take a commentary booth with three Michael Coles before I'd take a commentary booth with Jim Ross. Jim Ross is easily the most overrated play-by-play man of all time. Tom Phillips and Michael Cole are two of the best today, and both of them also heavily benefit off chemistry with Corey Graves, who is this generation's Bobby Heenan. Try as you might, Luke Harper nor Cesaro should come close to the WWE or Universal Championship, and are far better as tag team guys than as singles guys. 205 Live and NXT continue to be the best wrestling in the world, sorry to those who think that "stupid little flippy midgets" and "cruiserweights" aren't worth watching, because you're definitely missing out. Though NXT is the best weekly wrestling show, their tag division (save Undisputed and Mustache Mountain) is incredibly weak. Heavy Machinery suck, War Raiders suck, The Mighty is mightily average and Street Profits are far better as entertainers than as wrestlers. Oney and Burch are the complete opposite, being good wrestlers but each of them have the charisma of an old shoe. Keep on crying about WWE having an all-women's PPV because like it or not, WWE women's roster is the most talented crop of female athletes on the planet and are extremely deserving of being given the spotlight. Sorry that they're not running around in bikinis and underwear and having catfights in pudding anymore, but the supposed "goddamn PC culture" won because those pesky female wrestlers should be equal to the men in both airtime and pay. Carmella and Alexa Bliss are doing exactly what they're supposed to do as heels. You're salty that your favorite women aren't the champion and you want to see them lose. That's exactly what they're being paid to do and you've fallen for it hook, line and sinker. (And the funny part is, most people complain about them only getting the titles for their looks, yet also whine and complain that women aren't reduced to bra and panties matches and bikini contests anymore. You can't have it both ways.) AJ Styles put on better matches with Jinder Mahal, John Cena, Roman Reigns, and mother ing Shane McMahon than he did with Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho and Shinsuke Nakamura. Dean Ambrose is only good on the microphone and is incredibly average in the ring. I probably mentioned this in an earlier post in this thread, but the only good thing about Bobby Roode is his theme song and the rest of him sucks eggs. That hasn't changed. The only thing I've posted that has changed is my opinion on Dolph and that's only because he's started giving a for the first time since late 2016.

Here's an unpopular wrestling FORUM opinion, people can get their point across without cursing every sentence. It adds no effect and just makes said people sound triggered.

I was explaining something to a younger guy I work with the other day, I referenced staying safe in foreign city’s by staying in well ‘lit’ areas... he thought I was joking and I had to explain I meant areas at night time with lights on...

There's absolutely nothing wrong with someone's ceiling capping out at the tag or mid-card division. Some of the greatest performers of all time never held the top prize (at least within the confines of the McMahon Machine), and it did nothing to hurt their credibility or their staying power as revered "legends" in the industry.

You're right though triggered has been used so much it's practically as normal as upset and every other word I can't think of rn bc I've been up 25 hours now.

He sounds identical to Saxton. I've long given up on trying to tell the two apart.

I know it's been said before and at this point it might not even be an unpopular opinion but I think Dave Meltzers best days are behind him.
