I built a couple of in wall cabinets a while back for my Hasbro and Star Trek Playmates collection. After a remodel of the room, a new window now means that these cabinets get a small amount of son every day (particularly in the early part of the year when the sun is lower). At the moment, the front of my cabinet is 'clear as glass' acrylic. It looks great, but offers no protection from the sun. I've been told if I switch the front panel to clear polycarbonate, this will add UV protection but not 100% and will last 10 years. Are there any better options out there? I hope some of you have had similar issues (and fixed them). This is the in wall cabinet I built, the front is simply a sheet of acrylic that I can slide in and out.

They sell rolls of UV film you just apply over the acrylic. Lowe’s and Home Depot should have it.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm in the UK and we don't have those stores, but somewhere will. eBay best bet probably.
Has anyone used it? Good stuff?
