I know it will sound like I am defending the MWFP guys, but from what they said in the Pod, PWT asked Kurt what he wanted for his brawler, and PWT gave him the choice of a limited run or putting his brawler in a crate. Now yes am I a fan of Matt and Brian. Has it been hard to get some of their merch. It has. For both the 4-pack and Kurt's brawlers I was at work, which I work at a school for special needs kids so it is hard to say hey I need to have 10-15 mins at a certain time to be free, as I have to live with it. But again Kurt decided on his own to make his brawler a limited run. Next, and trust me I know it is hard as a collector to not get what you want to complete the collection, but can we please go back to looking forward to coming here and hearing positives thoughts about the brawler community. Here's my take, trying to be objective. The Brawlers were not doing well - they ordered 300 pieces of most figures, and as of a couple months ago there were still 100+ in stock on pretty popular guys like Arn and Terry Funk. Cutting the production on the next order (they buy 6 months worth at a time for the crates and store) made sense given the demand. When Kurt was ordered, I honestly think it was fair to think there were probably around 150-200 Brawler collectors, and the added packaging and numbering might help drive sales so they didn't sit/get clearanced. At the same time, they clearanced out the remaining stock at dirt cheap prices, and suddenly you had a bunch more people become interested. I believe you also have a very small group of people who are hyping these day and night online like it's their day job, and keeping prices inflated by controlling the market on some of the more rare figures. That makes all the new collectors just coming in think that these figures are super valuable, and reinforces the idea that rarity = $$$. It's created a bubble that I don't think will hold long-term, but created a perfect storm. You have limited run pieces, and now double or triple that number of collectors or speculators who think these figures are a good way to make a quick buck. And you have new buyers bought into the hype, thinking that new figures will reach the prices because the limited old figures did. It's frustrating as a collector, but it is what it is. For me the question is will production be increased when future figures are ordered to be in line with the demand, or will they keep artificially surprising the supply to keep up the hype. If it's the latter, they'll probably lose my business. Side note - as someone who used to teach alt-ed, thanks for the work you do. The difference you make for the your kids every single day is way more important than any figure will ever be.

The difference you make for the your kids every single day is way more important than any figure will ever be. Thank you for the kinds words about my job, it means a lot to hear that. As for the brawler part. I 1000% agree with everything you said. Now I was one of those people who weren't into brawlers in the beginning, I remember seeing them on PWT if I went to buy a shirt and said to myself what the hell are these things and why would anyone want to collect them, and then I signed up for the crate. Even after I signed up, it took me a good year and a half to have a collection and say ok lets get into this for real. And yes I remember that sale a few months ago after they announced PWT were at least shopping regular releases of brawlers and I pretty much picked up everyone that I didn't already have. I also think people forget that hate also should be directed to those people who only bought extra figures however they did (between bots or using more than one account) those are the people who have Kurt up on secondary sites for over $200. Now for those collectors who have the earlier brawlers up for sale for the prices they do, I have zero problem with it. Hell if you tell me the in a year the Boogeyman brawler can get me over 150-200 bucks like Taz or the earlier Kenny brawler goes for, yeah even I would have to think if I'm out of the brawlers game of course I'll try to get that for it. So I don't blame those people. But like I said it is the people I said earlier that I just hate so much in the collector world.

I love the brawlers, I only started getting monthly crates in June so I’ve missed a bunch. Did a few mystery grab bags and now have 16 total, all commonly found ones.
They remind me of hasbros when they are displayed because of the vibrant fun colors. I like the material they are made out of which is softer than the Funko mystery minis.
Would have loved a Kurt but not worth it, even if I was able to snag one for retail I would have sold it to finance me being able to get a bunch more for my display.

I just started the Crate in September, so I can relate. Between some lucky finds on Mercari and jumping right as PWT was having some great sales, I have pretty close to everything I want. I can't ever see myself paying more than $30, so most of the early figures and the Road Warriors are probably the only ones I'll never own that I want. I was lucky enough to get a Kurt, but even at $30 shipped it felt a little steep. But I'm a big fan and he's a hometown guy, so I couldn't pass him up. Not sure I'll have the same attachment with the Sheik or whoever else gets released, though.

I've only got six of these things, but I refuse to pay the prices people pitch them for. They're fun, but they're definitely not worth more than $10 a whack to me, tops. I've been stupid lucky with the prices I got the ones I have at. It's a shame that a small group of people who want collecting to have some sort of exclusivity as to who can participate went and ruined something perfectly fun for so many people. My collection, and the purchase price for each: Cody Rhodes (Suited) | $0.62 | CM Punk | $2.00 | PCO | $6.00 | MJF | $5.00 | El Generico | $5.00 | Tama Tonga | $5.00 |

I'm with you, I just started picking them up to complement my Funko Mystery Mini display (I wish they were nearly as good as the Funkos, but oh well). I'm not spending more than about $10 each either, anything over that I have no interest. I'm also a classics-only collector, so that helps me not care about most of releases that are coming out now anyway. One of my first pickups was LOD for about $9 shipped. No clue how I got away with that, but I know a steal when I see one

I think the mystery minis are 20x better than the brawlers. The brawlers being ‘flat’ gives them a weird look imo unless your looking at them face on
On the mwf pod they have referred to a company who make similar figures to the brawlers. Anyone know who that company is? They also started adding to a different wrestling mystery crate

I really want them to stop putting Zach Ryder stuff in these crates, it’s like every month now on top of the what seems like bi monthly Colt Cabana items.

L00t Crate. It's just awful unlicensed garbage... The other crate is Pro Wrestling Loot. I've seen a lot of people have issues with the customer service, and the quality of the shirts is a lot lower than PWC. For the price, it just didn't seem like a good value to me.

I don't really pay attention until I see other collectors talking about it, and I haven't heard a thing about them in years. I'm sure it's done for, but I'd love to see more. I can't understand how those aren't more popular, they're incredible. Meanwhile, people are going f'n NUTS for Micro Brawlers

I know not everyone likes their style but their quality, availability (chases are obtainable) etc is very high. I have wwe ones (pops and minis), McDonald’s pops, their action figures they moved into, shirts etc and they’re all great quality Things like the album cover series they do etc too are amazing

Yeah I agree and that is cool and imo the best thing about them. There’s legends on the outs with the fed who they can do and we wouldn’t get in the minis.
