It feels like this line is on life support. Almost no one in any of the circles I follow is talking about them anymore. I’ve seen a fair amount of people purging their collections too. There is probably still plenty of money left in it but man did it seem to fall off a cliff rather suddenly. I don't plan on parting with my collection, but it always felt like the bubble was bound to burst when these had such a hot streak around 2021. But PWT definitely seemed to accelerate the decline. I lost interest after the last Bucks/Kenny pre-orders. You have top tier talents who have a TON of colorful and fun looks and they go with...plain black figures? It just felt very uninspired and phoning it in. And here we are with a bunch of big name AEW debuts like Copeland, Okada, etc who they haven't even attempted to release. It just feels like such a weird approach. The price creep didn't help. These things are cheap as hell to produce. Once I was paying $25+ for a Brawler pre-order, it went from a fun novelty collectible to "why am I spending this much money on a hunk of rubber." My opinion has always been that Ryan was a terrible businessman who happened to be in the right place at the right time, and nothing about this line's rise and fall has shown me otherwise. I'm in a similar position and have been stating the same thing on Micro Brawler Facebook groups, in which, the AEW Micro Brawlers in particular, leave a lot to be desired and appear set to remain with predominant black wrestling attires. When you compare a Detolf set up of AEW Micro Brawlers with the other Crate / Pre-Order / Exclusives that PWT's have dropped throughout the years, they look like two totally different lines. One's colourful and fun. The AEW ones look predominantly like they're assembled at a funeral! How did you miss opportunities like delivering a Penta in his Joker inspired gear? How do we have multiple MJF / Adam Cole devil attires, yet a majority of the roster is still missing! How did we wait till now to get a Jamie Hayter, and it's not even her iconic look throughout her run with Britt Baker? The amount of stable opportunities we've missed is incredible! How fun would a Bang Bang Gang with Jay White, Juice Robinson and Gunn Club group look!! Additionally, I fear that the line is beginning to delve into very niche and fringe characters, which will further dilute the line and dwindle interest. I hope I'm wrong but I fear how this line might look, and what is being produced in 18 months to 2 years time...

This line couldn't be colder. Hasn't been a post in eleven days, and no mention of the AEW All Out Will Ospreay event exclusive. Crazy to see what has happened to this line. Sad since I still collect and there is absolutely no buzz. Jamie Hayter is up for pre-order, so it ain't cold. I can’t tell if you’re a fan of Jamie Hayter and being funny, or if you truly believe that the line isn’t cold because there’s a current preorder. There was a time where I was waiting for 8 separate preorders. The preorder model is practically extinct now, and even the “limited” brawlers don’t sell out. The fact that they can’t get rid of the Natural Disasters is crazy to me.

Since Micro Brawlers are from prowrestlingtees and also come in crates, I don't think the line will end soon. I don't actively collect Micro Brawlers; I own about 10 old ones.

I wonder what killed this line? It seemed to be thriving when it was centered around legends. Have they ran out of legends? Did the emergence & excessive releases of AEW figures kill it? Was it the limited releases & pre-order style?

You don’t actively collect the line, or follow the line, so how would you know if it was cold or not? I never said the line was dead. I said it was cold. The buzz is nonexistent. Yes, there’s still product (sporadically mind you), but no one seems to care. Even the Major Pod guys couldn’t care less about the line and they used to be all in on it.

I grabbed the Ospreay AEW Brawler last night since it’s a live event exclusive but they’re available on eBay. I don’t buy to flip but even those aren’t being sold for crazy prices. I think there’s just too many other toy related items where these just got further tossed aside. Time goes by and there’s better stuff out there to spend money on.

Micro Brawlers continue to be a bit hit and miss for me personally - I quite like the recent Will Osprey Live Event, Julia Hart (chase) and Max Moon releases... Mustafa Ali doesn't do enough for me to warrant picking up, and I'm glad that both AEW Jamie Hayter and Willow Nightingale Micro Brawlers are significantly more colourful than most of the AEW Brawler run over the last year, but neither were quite the attire's I really associate either woman with. The fact we missed out on a Jamie Hayter when she was aligned with Britt Baker and Rebel and predominantly decked out in the black, white and red etc is a crazy miss! The recent Excalibur brawler isn't bad and the attention to the mask detail is appreciated, but given the fact MUCH of the AEW Micro Brawler run are decked out in black or other dark colours, his attire dampens my enthusiasm in picking it up. I still like the line, especially when it "hits", but the enthusiasm across the board is unfortunately in the toilet. We don't need another Danhausen either.... please, stop with the Danhausen variants....
