So apparently this just happened...  Austin Aries is the new Impact Global Champion! I figured he might return back to Impact, and I think that is what Impact Wrestling needs right now. Some familiar faces like A Double to bring back the viewership! |

YAY ALSO DAMN IT, WHY 4 SIDES F THAT OWL. As much as I love the six sided ring, it is notorious for being hard to bump on and very difficult to work in. A lot of wrestlers hated it, so if it means more dudes coming in and staying I’m all for it. Plus, Austin Aries back in an Impact ring is awesome. |

It’s good that a high-profile name returned to Impact. Aries has good TV presence and will make a nice foil for Eli Drake. Perhaps they switched back to a traditional ring to complete the separation from Global Force. Edit: They sperl’d it! impactwrestling.com/wtf/ |

Very smart move on Impact's new reign to bring in a former talent and world champion like Austin Aries and to put the strap on him.While he's not a huge name that will draw in views he help alot and has ties to the old TNA glory days and could help bring back some of those fans plus some eyes from the WWE with him just finishing up a year in a half run.
Impact has lost way to much talent over the last five or so years but basically restarting the company once again this week and having a base of Aries,Morrison,Del Rio...ect to build around isn't terrible and if they bring in some of the other rumored talents like Chris Jericho,Rey Mysterio,Brian Cage...ect you real start to creat a buzz again for the company.
