Goldberg head swap The customs that you guys have on here are awesome by the way. It definitely looks better than toothless screaming Alzheimers Goldberg head lol. That's the good thing about the Five Below sale of these. You could load up on customizing fodder. Great work!

I'm starting to fill-in the mid card, as did our Hasbro forefathers of Hasbros in the later series. Here is a radical idea I had...Perry Saturn!

Great to see your latest updates mate; especially love this Perry Saturn! Is it a Jakks head? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, just wondered if you had any tips for removing paint from hasbros? I’m wanting to remove the bicep bands on Luger & tshirt sleeves on Bam Bam...but don’t want to ruin them!

I want to do a Spike Dudley but I'm amazed at how few (and crappy) figures he got while in the WWE. I use Goof-Off. It's in a yellow can. I put some in a bowl and grab a bunch of Q-tips. Dip in the solution and rub the paint off with them. You cant use them on the torso's though. It leaves a white film behind. You can only use it on the softer plastic of the arms. I've used it on Retros mostly, but let me test it on an old beat up Marty Jannetty I have so you dont ruin yours. Just to be safe. I'll message back today with a before and after photos.

So, I posted a few pics below.. You'll need a bunch of Q-tips, a small bowl (preferably one you'll never eat from again), and Goof-Off (or similar brand. Not sure if this brand is in the UK) Next, dip Q-tips into solution and wipe over painted area. Afterwards, run that part of the figure under warm sink water and rub dish soap over solution area with fingers and dry. Again, turned out ok with this old Jannetty. Dont use on torso, though. Be careful to avoid that area. Maybe tape it off since the arm paint is near the shoulders. Good luck!

I’ve been looking at all the customs you’ve created for so long that I finally had to create an account to comment about how amazing these are. You’ve made so many awesome customs! I wanted to ask about Saturn, is that just the Rock body, or did you have to repaint it? I was thinking the Macho Man green trunks would match skin tone. But, Saturn is one I’ve been dying to make.

Thank you, brother. I appreciate the kind compliment. I enjoy creating from an artistic sense, but also want to make figures that we may sadly never see. There are instances where I may have to do skintone painting for guys like Test, Big Evil Taker, or Nash in order to eliminate or add a singlet. But I avoid doing this if possible. In those cases, its minimal skin painting. I've seen some with full body skintone painting including the head and it takes it down a level imo. A minimalist approach with that is how I go. But I look at two things: body type and skin color. I pick up old Mattels or Jakks on ebay and match the head with the body. Saturn was a darker guy, so Rock was what I used. You'll see too much of a color difference with green Savage, trust me. Grab a Rock on Ebay for $10-15. I go online to find attire logos and tattoos and I clean them up on Photoshop. If I cant find what I need, I use curbstompdecals.com...cheap and great quality. I go gloss paint and use a clear coat lacquer spray to seal the paint once its dried.

Ha! Awesome! Another great throwback. Thanks for the info about Saturn’s skin tone and using the Rock’s retro.
Have you done any torso cracks on these retros? I have a few ideas I want to try using the Kevin Owens torso, but haven’t cracked a torso since the old Jakks BCA days.
Also, what kind of primer do you use? I want to fix the skinny Sheamus but feel like it would be a nightmare to try and match the skin tone.

Finally figured out what I'm going to do with this extra Mason Ryan head that's been collecting dust in my house. Mod it slightly and make a Corporal Kirchner Retro. Nice, look forward to seeing how this turns out!

I see nothing else here.

I have cracked open torsos, some easily and clean looking, some are a mother and degrees of wedging could be seen on the plastic. I keep 2 measuring cups of water, and alternate heating each in the microwave. I let them soak for a few mins then look for a part of the seam with a gap and gently work it with an exacto knife then heat soak again. I also keep a box cutter and then flathead screwdriver. Don't pry hard because the edge of the plastic will smash in. As for Sheamus, I say grab a glossy flesh colored acrylic and carefully add small amounts of white and stir. See where it gets you. I go to my local Hobby Lobby for this clear lacquer. It's great. What I like about it is even if you dont have a perfect paint job, it makes it look so much better.
