So I just read another great piece of information ! "recent reports now claim that the air has cleared considerably, and that Neville could be set for a return to television by the end of the month. PWInsider cited one source that claimed he could return as soon as (this past Monday's) edition of Raw, but conceded that they were unable to confirm this themselves." This information comes from Dave Meltzer, so...grain of salt I guess? cultaholic.com/news/neville-reportedly-set-wwe-return/

Damn. I was really looking forward to what he could do on the indy circuit.
But if he's able to negotiate his way into a better position, then that's cool too. Hopefully this would mean him being allowed return to the regular RAW roster.

Seems like the best move would be to put him on Smackdown. Have him win the US Title and become the new King of America. Maybe that takes Sin Cara getting a "fluke" win over Corbin, but that's a price worth paying.
I think the last thing Neville needs is to go back to 205 Live, especially now that Enzo is a heel.

Hopefully he doesn’t get stuck in the cruiserweight division.

Fans are gonna be behind him after this so it would be pointless to keep him heel. I agree 100% with putting him on SDL and giving him the US Title. He’s believable facing physically larger opponents and would be able to showcase more of his abilities on SDL than on Raw. I’d kill to see him and AJ Styles get 20-25 minutes to work a match. I guarantee it’d content for match of the year. I know Vince would never push that as a major feud but have Neville challenge AJ and let them work a match on SDL or on a joint-PPV where it isn’t the top promoted match.

I'd be concerned for Neville as a babyface, at least longterm. I agree that fans will want to cheer him, but I think we've established he carved his place into the roster as a heel. I'd actually be in favor of going Bobby Roode TNA World Title chase with him. Let him chase the US Title as a babyface and then immediately turn him back heel once he wins. That way fans get to cheer him for the journey and he can settle back into what he's good at once he has the title. I think we've seen Neville establish his ceiling as a babyface. Yes, that has quite a bit to do with how WWE uses him, ala Evan Bourne-esque, but as a heel he's on a level they can't ignore. The AJ match is a no brainer. I think WWE sees that as a Smackdown main event though, and not a PPV main event.

If only we had a board on this forum, where people could post rumors and “spoilers” of debuting/returning superstars...

I saw this yesterday and took it with a grain of salt just like the one about him walking out a month ago. With that I said it was probably a work or he was getting time off and I still feel the same way with yesterday's reports.

I moved this to avoid ruining it for people who want to be surprised. I think this is fantastic news!!
I personally would love to see him return looking like he just slept in the alley for the last month. Holes in his gear. Bags under his eyes. Have him seems like he's just given up on himself. Because he can't live with the fact that he lost to Enzo of all people. And then have him unleash the unholy fury on Enzo and anyone else (Gulak, Neese, Dar, and maybe a few more) who tries to stop him. And I mean viciously attacks them all.
Then the following week all the CW's affected by Neville's attack refuse to work with him again. This includes the champion Enzo. So Angle has no choice but to move Neville out of the division. And then I would love to see Enzo get a run with the IC title. I love Miz, but it's time to change it up for a bit. And then give Miz time off to be with Maryse.
