So the Impact brain trust decided to name their version of the Network after GFW for some reason. I'm sure they had decided on that name a while back but after Jeff Jarrett left you'd think they would have scraped that name, but of course they didn't. Because TNA.
To be fair, it doesn't seem that bad. $8.99 seems a little steep for anything coming from that company though. It includes every TNA show ever, exclusive content and classic footage from other promotions that I'll post below. The first 30 days are free and there's even a free tier that includes the latest episodes of Impact and Xplosion. There seems to be some free offer content available because I saw a thumbnail for a free clip that had a picture of the Hardys.
Here's a portion of an article about it from Cageside Seats:
I would really love to know how they got their hands on the St. Louis footage. That's going to have some CLASSIC NWA matches from Ric Flair, Harley Race, Terry Funk, etc.

There was an online streaming site called NWA Classics on Demand or something that had all the St. Louis stuff. I am guessing that they merged together to have the NWA linage on there from the early years of TNA.

If TNA did somehow manage to merge with them it's weird that they aren't using all of the content they the NWA was offering. It's also weird that Billy Corgan didn't want the tape library when he bought the NWA, but I digress.

I am not sure how the NWA even works anymore. Vince owns all the WCW, ECW, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, WCCW, and any other promotion that had the NWA name from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. To me, the NWA has no history now, since its all with the WWE.

Because after that, SMW had the NWA for a bit, then it went out on its own, and the WWE used it in 1998 when bringing in NWA Champion Dan Severn for that year, and then after that it went into the indys again until 2002 when TNA used it to be "NWA-TNA" and have the NWA Title as their main World Title. That's why I can't take the NWA serious. Even back in the 90s I couldn't. It just seemed like such a mess.

I signed up for it because reliving Asylum era TNA sounds fun and watching some of the more wretched PPV's also sounds like a lark.

If he's going to run the NWA as one company then it wouldn't make any sense to keep calling it the National Wrestling Alliance.

When I got the WWE Network (since day 1, Uce!!), I started watching the WWE, WCW, and ECW pay per views in chronological order. I liked seeing a Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainer appear in one company and then appear in another company the following month, sometimes the following week or two. I would have subscribed to the Global Wrestling Network a couple of years ago, when I was between Taboo Tuesday 2004 and Survivor Series 2004. I have since watched all of the pay per views on the WWE Network, and now I’m watching every Saturday Night’s Main Event and every Clash Of The Champions in chronological order. Currently I’m at the end of 1993, in case anyone was wondering.
I have read that there are issues with the GWN in regards to credit card information. I think I’m going to have to pass on this, at least until I’ve seen everything I want to see on the WWE Network catalog. Afterwards, I may alternate between the WWE Network and the Global Wrestling Network, if the GWN can get their $#!+ together.

I too saw something about this, like they're not running on a secure server or something? I think that was it but it certainly put me off putting my card details on there lol

Whatch the history of how TNA mishandled and poorly booked current and former WWE super stars, all for 8.99!

Serious question: Is anyone even the tiniest bit surprised that TNA isn't using a secured server for their streaming service? Anyone? Can they even afford a secure server at this point? When I got the WWE Network (since day 1, Uce!!), I started watching the WWE, WCW, and ECW pay per views in chronological order. Or AJPW. Last I checked, they had posted their entire catalog online for free.

The idea is good. But too expensive without getting PPVs

Does anyone have this that can give a quick review on quality of their service (network issues, etc)?

A few questions... - How many hours of content do they have on there? - Do they do many original shows? - Is the first unreleased season of GFW: Amped on there?
