I have only seen it on Wikipedia's site about TNA champions and one other site, but apparently on October 3, Eddie Edwards defeated Lashley to win the Heavyweight championship. I assumed it was taped for television viewing at a later date.

Wow! Eddie Edwards is the TNA Champion?!?! That is awesome!
Though I was hoping for a Wolves vs. Hardyz feud for the Tag Titles when Davey returns, seeing Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards for the TNA Title would be a lot like their ROH Title matches a few years back!

You are correct, I was asking whether anyone else had heard it. I know that Wikipedia is not always correct and the other site was not one that I was familiar with. Well, from reading spoilers, it does kind of make sense... I forget how it comes about exactly, but somehow, Lashley is given the choice between three people to defend his title against. He picks Eddie Edwards with the idea that he can easily beat him, having done so before. Then Edwards upsets him and wins the title. Personally, I'm thrilled about it. Been a big fan of Eddie Edwards since his ROH days and he's, without question, one of the most consistent performers in TNA. Well deserving of a championship run IMO. |

Deserving no doubt but not the right time in my opinion. They really need someone who can help draw. Maybe I don't know as much about EE as others but I don't feel like it's him. Honestly if Lashley couldn't help, I'm not sure that guys on the roster. If they needed to get it off Lashley because of other arrangements he has, why not put over EC3 at BFG? He's in a program now anyways with Eli who's got a title shot anyways right ?
