I was thinking about this...Canada has a lot of luck. While most countries are going through turmoils, for example the United States, Canada is just the same old. Nothing bad ever happens to us. It's like we are the safe blanket of the world. I don't want to be a jinx on the country but it is like Canada is the good luck nation. I guess if you are good to other countries they are good to you.
Any one else feel this way? Just a little convo topic.

I can't say yes, and I can't say no. We have our poverties, but they aren't televised internationally in a time of need. Sure a lot of the victims are poor, down and out, but I'll give them a round of applause for sticking it out. I can't afford to donate, but I've thought about saying " it.." and dropping $50 on my Credit Card to help them. We do have our highs and lows, but I wouldn't say we're that lucky. We've had huge ice storms in Quebec, huge storms on the coasts, it's just nothing to that capacity in the Gulf.

I guess we kind of are. But that's mostly just because of where Canada is located on the World. We're not near the equator which would help. But this post better not jynx us!
I'd edit your sig, you can see a nipple. Not that I have a problem with it, but you know....

I think that Canada does have luck. We don't have any planes flying into our buildings, no, that is not meant to be mean, but i'm just saying. We dont' have terrorists attempting to attack canada, or, planning on the attack, we have peace with other countries, like in the first post, . I guess if you are good to other countries they are good to you. . I guess that's what happens

I'd seriously say we're one of the luckiest in the world. The poor people at least stand a chance. Seriously, if I was poor, I'd hitch-hike to Toronto and go around collecting money in the most pathetic way possible, and you could seriously go into a fast food place, and within 2-5 minutes, you could walk out with $5-$15 which can be a lot if you do this for like 7 hours a day.
As for our weather, you can make plenty of money by shoveling driveways in the winter, and when it gets to be 6 feet deep, let's just be happy we're not in Antartica.
We don't have very many Hurricanes or Tornados when you compare to the states. We sometimes get rain storms because of them, but I can live with that.
As far as wars go, we aren't really the target of anyone (or at least I don't think we are *looks at Osama*). We also have a close relationship with the US, so I think they'd stick up for us if we needed any help.
All in all, I think the worst things that have happened to us as of late is the NHL lock-out, our farm industries starting to die over (which nobody really cared about because the lock-out was so much more important), and the Québecers threatening to leave.
And by the way, if Québec actually leaved us, they'd be back within like an hour. It'd be like a 4 year old leaving home.
