I hit 300lbs on the bench today, finally getting back to where I used to be. I used to go a lot in the military and then for a few years after but stopped when my daughter was born and she's 2 now so I was out for at least that long. Lifetime PR for bench was 325 for 5 and I've always wanted to get to a 405lb bench. Maybe this year or next. Nice work š. The dad strength is legit ride that wave. I've long given up on the 405 bench (I hit 365 and called it a life lol), but the 3 pie clean and jerk and 600 dead are still in my crossfires I'm trying to harness all this dad strength lol. Im 31 now so nowhere near as fast growing in gains as I was in my 18-25 range but I also have a way better understanding of how to lift at this age so Im staying injury free this time thank god. I had 2 hernias in my youth from trying to ego lift and just being a jackass in the gym. Now I feel like Im building real strength instead of a nice body to look at. Of course you can do both but I'm now prioritizing the usefulness of the lift and the strength gains over the body image and also eating clean at this age which is a huge change from my youth. Back then I would workout twice a day and then fill my body with fast food, protein and beer š feel way better now eating clean and focusing on proper form when Im lifting instead of an egotistical amount of weight just to prove I can. A 600lb deadlift is insane to me, I'm sure you'll get there eventually though! I've only ever reached 405 on deadlift back when I was 180-190lbs and felt like I was gonna pass out from it so I couldn't imagine 600lbs.

I worked out for the first time in weeks today. I also went food shopping and cut out any of the garbage items I usually would buy. I mainly need to cut out beer and soda, the rest of my diet doesnāt seem like itās going to be a big sacrifice to change. I want to drop like 20 lbs ideally. I am counting calories now but Iām pretty sure the soda and beer alone is going to help a lot. Itās been a month and Iām down 7 lbs. Iāve been tracking calories and working out/walking on the treadmill daily. Iāve cut out fast food, junk food, alcohol and any drinks other than water. It hasnāt been that long but Iām pretty amazed at how good I feel and regret not doing this years ago. The diet change has also gotten rid of problems I was having like indigestion, chest pain and acid reflux.

anybody else try this or have experience with mushroom coffee in general? I bought a bag of this to try and it doesn't taste that great but is supposedly really good for gut health. I had a cup of it with almond milk and ice before a workout yesterday and I was surprised by the energy boost.

Down 15 lbs since August. Lifting 6 days a week and walking 6.25 miles a day on my treadmill. Iām going to aim to lose another 5-10 lbs then probably just maintain that.

I had a super intense workout on Monday, and now I can barely make it up the stairs! I totally forgot what serious muscle pain feels like, especially after taking such a long break. Itās a clear sign I might have pushed myself too hard. Iāll probably give pse archery customer service a call to cancel my order for now because it looks like Iāll need to take a break from sports for a bit and focus on recovery. Hopefully, I can get back into it gradually without overdoing it next time!

Had a good workout last night to get back into my routine. I didnāt do anything during the weekend because I wasnāt feeling 100% and it sucked. I really hate going more than a day without exercising.
