Having been a big fan of the customs posted on this site, I finally decided to take a more serious shot at this hobby. I've pretty much lurked the custom support board, listening to every little trick or hint dropped by the veterans around here.
For the most part, however, I'm just learning as I go along. I'm basically trying all the hints/techniques given around here and seeing which ones work best for me at my current skill level.
In any case, here are two pieces of work that I've put together recently. First is a simple fix-up that's obviously inspired by Jsh's latest. I've had serious troubles with posting pics on this sight lately, so I apologize if you have to go through the hassle of clicking links.

Originally,I wanted to do them in a lighter color, but wasn't ready to repaint the designs on his pants. It's rather minor, but something I hope to fix as I pack on the experience.
I went in a different direction than Jsh for the hair, giving Morrison an obviously shorter cut. I was going to make it longer, but didn't want to have the hair molded so close to his shoulders. The head still maintains mobility at the cost of being a tad inaccurate. Fair trade in my opinion, but perhaps not everyones cup of tea.
I really like how the paint job turned out on his hair. Obviously it may be hard to tell in the pics, but I did one coat of black before staining the hell out of it with some really watered down brown. While examining the figure, it gives off a nice subtle highlight effect to the hair.
This will most likely be on Ebay, since I plan to fix up my TT MNM set and have no need for this spare. Still, due to this being the first fix up I've tried, I must admit that I'm a little attached to the end product.
Second is Chris Hero.

This is actually the first figure I painted. I'm not too happy with the end product, but still like the figure. I made a big mistake by not watering down my paint, which led to things not being as smooth as I wanted. I'm happy with how the chest symbol came out, but plan to touch it up (as well as his leg logo) before I think of sealing it up.
Btw, if anyone has a pic of the logo (if any) that Hero has on his right leg, please let me know. I based this off the work of another great customizer on here, but couldn't see the right leg clearly.
Anywho, thanks for looking. Hope at least someone has enjoyed them.
