My very first custom! The Italian Hearthrob!!

Hi all! As the title says, this is my first custom ever! I decided to make an RA figure of my best friend, who's actually more like a brother. He's a cruiserweight sensation umong the southern indy circuit... "The Italian Hearthrob" Johnny Romano!

The pant logos in the ref. pic are different from the logos on the figure for a reason. I designed the logo he uses myself, but when he sent it to the guy who made his gear, he was told it had to be altered due to it's complexity. He prefers the original, so thats what I put on the fig. The figure itself is an AD Tajiri (came with Regal) body, skinny arms from 123 Kid, and a 123 Kid head. I painted the pants black, I painted the soles of the boots white, and I did the logos using the Testor's decal system. I know people seem to dislike decals, but the logo has small detail that I couldn't have painted. On to the fig!









*BTW, I know you can see red inside the ankle joint. I'll post MOC pics once I've finished the packaging. Let me know what you think! ;D

imo it looks really good painting and decals are nice. sometimes it is best to use decals instead of ruining figures . keep it up

I think it looks good man. If you can use decals and make it look that much better, I say go for it. Everything looks top notch.

It's incredible. Most people's first customs look bad. They usually have sloppy painting and they looked rushed. I really like yours though. The 123 kid head works well for him. The rest of the part choices work. The painting looks good, and if you wouldn't of said the designs on the pants were decals, I never would have noticed because it kind of looks like you painted them on. Great custom and keep up the good work.

Thanks! Currently he wrestles as a face, and he likes to mix his styles. He uses a combo of power moves, full on technical wrestling, high risk, and even some lucha style wrestling.
