Main Event - Love the Harlem Heat. The modding on the face of Stevie Ray looks superb, as does Booker. J's WTR, look really good too. The painting and modding as always look fantastic. Although two great sets of customs, I think Beyondo took a bigger risk here. So my vote: Beyondo IC Title Match - Gate's best custom to date, for sure. He really stepped his game up. It's unfortunate that jackass they call Bartman procrastinated and started his custom at 4 this afternoon. Apologize Gate, I really felt like I didn't give it my all, and hopefully I can make it up to you in the future. My vote: Gate.  Tag Title Match - Strong/Gibson looks alright, but they do seem rather simple. Not totally feeling the head on Strong either. I really like Hernandez and Homicide on the other hand. Hernandez looks good, and the modding on the head doesn't look all that bad. Homicide looks nice, and the tattoo work looks good from what I can see. My vote: Deen/WWE Facepaint Match: I'm liking the facepaint work on Sting. Wish, you could've gotten some pics without the pose, but it's alright. Tights look a little rough. I like the risk Titan took with Phantasio, so he earns originality points with this one. The painting looks all around clean. My vote: Titan Trap I'll edit my response, if the competitors for the other matches get their customs in. All in all, great PPV. Can't wait to join the next one. Definitely will give my opponent my all in the future, and not leave my custom like until last minute. Good job becca.  |

I'm obviously not on the panel but figured before I go to bed, could show a little support and who I feel was better. No high description points, tired but still..
Harlem Heat is damn near, at least visibly, flawless. Rap may be "crap" but I think Heat looks more like it's real-life counterparts.
Amazing Kong has gotta be a hard figure to piece together and capture perfectly. I like the skin tone, slightly like the hair, and all around enjoy the the attention to perfection put in. Good job to the creator on a figure that's almost as scary good as the real deal.
As for competition, the worst gimmick is a close race. The trash bag is ingenius and "Shark" to me looks the complete opposite of spotty. I had no idea that Shark Boy was a 2nd generation, wrestler. ;D
I'd go with Shark.
To live and die in LAX, I usually mark for Strong and Gibson is a good wrestler, but LAX just looks better. No beating around the bush about it. Hernandez though is the standout of the 4.
Oh and last but not least, Sting, had no idea about the other guy. Is that mask based off him? I always figured it was a sting mask with no relevance to it.

Just wanna start off by thanking becca for doing a killer job on the tourney, hats off to you on this one. Now for the voting... #1 Tag match Main Event Beyondo - Together, Harlem Heat looks awesome, the head modding and attire are all top notch, and I love the addition of the nose strips. Famous J - Great turn out, they look very smooth and have great detail but seem to be somewhat plain. my vote goes to Beyondo's Harlem Heat, they have greater detail and are more eye catching. #1 Contender Match Gore's Amazing Kong ='s simply amazing. The choice of male parts(obviosly) were a great decision and the detail really shows. The modding of the chest and addition of the skirt really make the figure, great job. That skirt thing would be great for a Rellik custom  Intercontinental Title Match Bartman - Very neat, love the trash bag accessory too. Only problem is the head looks a bit thin but I bet you were going for one with that little smirk. Other than the head size it looks awesome. Gatecitysinner - Amazing attention to detail and just a crisp look to the figure. The shark especially looks fantastic as well as the other logos. my vote goes to Gateciysinner's Shark as it just comes across as more vibrant and contains greater detail. Tag Title Match 4LK and customkenny - Strong and Gibson looks good with a nice head mod on the strong and detail of the logos on both. TCKDeen and wwe4ever - Homicide and Hernandez are a great looking combo, very nice head mods and logo work. The tats look good as well. my goes goes to TCKDeen and wwe4ever, they look more complicated and have smaller details added. Cruiserweight Title Match TCKDeen - I love the detail in the facepaint and the scorpion on the tights, its like to see a toybiz figure amongst the crowd too. TitanTrap - The mask and the hair are very well done, the side view looks exactly like the ref. The skin tone looks well matched on the legs compared to the rest of the body. My vote goes to TitanTrap with a very smooth Phantasio. Edit: just saw that Gods entered his custom, figured I'd add my opinion I like the custom skin tone and the molded knee pads, only part that gets me is the chest hair but it doesn't seem like anyone can get the perfect out come on that and it doesn't look all that bad. Other than that, a nice Diamond Studd you have there, best of luck. |

Main Event
Harlem Heat looks great. The torso sculpts look very good. I'm not too keen on Stevie Ray's head, but it's a lot better than the OJ I did a while back! Painting looks nice and clean. I like the Rednecks, but mainly because of Windham. Terrific job on the modded head--he looks meaner and rougher than the original head. Hennig looks a tad but too simple. For this match I'd give it to Harlem Heat. Great job, Beyondo!

I thought the garbage back was an awesome accessory. Nice touch on the dirty hands too. The face could be a bit better, especially since Duke's face is a bit rounder, and the attire could have been better. Shark looks fantastic! I love everything about this figure. The artwork is perfect. For this match I'd give it to Shark. Great job, Gatecitysinner!
Tag title match
Hernandez and Homicide have nice, detailed attires, but their heads need a little work (Hernandez's head looks a bit rough). Hernandez also has a torso crack, if it matters. Strong and Gibson are okay, but they're too simple for H&H, who I would give this match to. Great job, TCKDeen and WWE4ever!
Cruiserweight title match
The Toybiz body looks good for Sting. Clean painting too. But I must decide on his opponent--Phantasio was one of my favorite characters, shame he didn't last more than a match. The lines are clean and perfect and I really love his mask. For this match I'd give it to Phantasio, whose disappearing act was unfortunately for good. Great job, Titantrap!

Beyondo vs Famous J
Beyondo -- This is a really, really great set. The modding on the faces is awesome, and I love the torso sculpting on Stevie Ray. I LOVE the tights sculpted above the normal waist line and am in awe of how smooth and straight the straps around the neck are. You did a fantastic job, topping it off with great painting.
Famous J -- Like always, these are beautiful and near-spotless. I love the tassels and the heads look incredible. Your shading is always great. I have to give this match to Beyondo for how much more involved his customs were.. but you kind of knew that. I wish that we had gotten to see the Rome/FamousJ collaboration for this match, but I am looking forward to seeing it posted when you get them in the mail!
Gore
I love this, I love the face! The flaps on the attire look perfect, and the arms and legs still look womanly! I wish Rozz hadn't had technical problems, this would have been a hell of a fight, and whoever emerged would have been worthy of the title shot.
Gatecitysinner vs. Duke Droese
This Shark is just so cool. The painting is great, the part choice is great -- not going the easy route with a Quake head. I love the idea, in fact I love the idea for both guys. Bartman, the trash bag and dirty gloves really make this. It is a good custom, but I think it would have benefitted from a more complex attire, like sculpting the straps or doing the attire in the ref pic. Nonetheless, it is very nice, I just have to go for Gate's brilliant Shark -- that kind of stole the show, in a show where the customs before it were all fantastic.
TCKDEEN and wwe4ever vs. customkenny and 4LK
TCKDEEN and wwe4ever - nice job with both of your skintones. I do think homicide could have been a tad darker though. The tatoos look nice as well. On Hernandez, the torso crack is bugging me a little, and that would have been an easy fix with a bit of sculpy. I actually like the decals on Hernandez. I don't know if they were great pictures or if the decals actually look that smooth, but kudos.
4LK and customkenny - These are both solid customs, for customkenny, I think the boots look great, and it looks good, but the painting looks a little thick. 4LK, I love the part choice, that torso is so perfect for Strong, the head is a little weird but I don't mind it. I think the logos on the tights could've been a little crisper.
TitanTrap vs. TCKDEEN
I think both of these look really good, it was a very even matchup. I like the body on Sting a lot, and the facepaint and the scorpion look good. The paint on the entire thing looks a little thick or rough, however. Phantasio is pretty awesome. The painting is smooth, the mask is cool, and the skintone where the leg holes are looks pretty darn close. My only gripe is that on the side view, it looks like the skintone of the head is darker than the body. A bit nitpicky, but it stands out a little. Also, would've looked better if the pictures had a plain background.
Peace to the Gods vs Razor
This one is tough for me, because I think each one succeeds where the other fails. Razor, I think this is a very done-looking, nice custom, but is a little simple. Peace, the custom is more complex, but doesn't look done (I know, deadlines, right?). I'm going to give it to Peace to the Gods, because the skintone looks good and the painting looks good. I look forward to seeing it sealed up. The chest hair is a little thick and blobby though. Razor, the logo on the shirt is not as bad as you say, so stop getting down on yourself. I like the hair and the shirt, but everything else is more or less Jakks' work.
Thanks guys for great customs, we only had a couple not turned in, so that's pretty good. Thanks to the judges as well. I'm looking forward to the biggest show of the year, Customania, and I expect everyone to bring their A game. More details will come soon!

I will try to give my best and honest opinion. There will will be no favotism as i dont know any of you guys lol. so lets get voting
#1 Tag match Main Event
Harlem Heat looks Fantastic, the head modding looks very nice but i really dig the molding on the attires..JUST FANTASTIC,. I love the fact that the painting is very smooth also, I for 1 hate using red and white paint because no mater how many layers i use those 2 colours never look right to me and you have pulled it off perfectly. nothing i would change really.. GREAT WORK Beyondo.
Famous J`s customs are a Great figures, they look very well done and contain lots of detail. im loving the heads on both guys even tho perfects is the csda head. both figures are "perfect" Great work!
Well, its a hell of a match but my vote goes to Beyondo's Harlem Heat, to me the better custom is the fiigures that STAND OUT and the Harlem Heat figures do just that for me. sorry to famous J no disrespect to your work mate because its fantastic, I just think beyondos "HAVE IT".

Duke the dumpster droser is a very neat figure, Paintingis nice and smoothand the accesorey Trash bag is awsome. My only problem with this custom is the head, it looks wrondto me in some way, I just remeber him with his hair bigger. its agreat figure non the less and would like it in my collection. great job
Gatecitysinner ive seen you work in the past and you have some great stuff and this is no exception, You have an Amazing attention to detail and just make a crisp look to any figure not forgeting this 1. The logos are all amazing.

Tag Title Match
4LK and customkennys customs are both very plain but are solid peices of work, Both figures look good with detailed logos on both.
However Hernandez and Homicide have nice, detailed attires, both of these figures have a nice paint job and are both solid customs. I give this match to TCKDeen and WWE4ever! Great job
Cruiserweight Title Match
WOOOOO, a toybiz sting!! Im loving the detail on this sting custom, the facepaint and the scorpion on the tights are very crisp and nicely done. this figure would be a nice touch in anybodys collection and would have been even better with a little jacket on, but hey fanastic figure non the less.
This is 1 of your best ive seen from you TitanTrap. The mask and the hair are nicly done, the side view looks awsome. The skin tone looks well matched on the legs compared to the rest of the body. the painting is smoother than your usual customs also
overall a very tough choice.... but im going with the sting its a rare sight for me to see a toybiz custom and 1 that is customized so good. TCKDEEN gets my vote

Beyondo VS Famous J
Both teams look awesome but I'm going to vote for Beyondo because Harlem Heat required more work and detail and Famous J's West Texas Rednecks look a lot more simple.

The Awesome Kong looks phenomenal. The parts work really well and the head looks awesome. Keep up the good work.
Bartman VS Gatecitysinner
Both customs look nice but I'm going with Gate's Shark because of the detail. Bartman's custom is more simple. The garbage bad is a nice touch though.
TCKDEEN VS Titantrap
Both are amazing customs. DEEN has really improved in the last few months. The custom skintone on Sting looks great. But I'm going to go with Titantrap's Phantasio. It looks sweet. Nice painting and I like the removable mask.
Razor VS Peace to the gods
My vote goes to Peace to the gods because Diamond Studd looks far better than Kidman. He went the extra mile by painting the custom skintone. Kidman looks good but he's really simple.

Beyondo vs Famous J
Harlem Heat are wonderful. I can't tell you the last time I've seen a Stevie Ray custom. I don't even know what head you used on him. The modjob on Booker's head looks wonderful. The bandana sculpting on Stevie looks good. I dunno why but the crotch pieces look weird to me. They look like they are huge, doesn't take away from the figure though. The singlet deals look awesome, not sure what you used for them. The armbands are nicely painted. The colors that you use are so bright and vibrant, just like theirs. A repainted CS Sherri with these would be tremendous. Maybe you can look into that. You even did the nose bandaid thingys. Top notch.
West Texas Rednecks- I would've loved for this set to be of Bobby Duncum and someone but this is ok. I'm not a big fan of the way you do your figures. Mainly cos I like figures that look like Jakks made and with your skintones, it's far too realistic. I can appreciate good work though. Barry's head mod and hair sculpt look fabolous. The head almost looks Tommy Rich/Buddy Landell-ish with that hair. The parts you use are the best and I hope Jakks uses them for when they put out their next Windham. Hennig is great. He was a tan mofo. The parts work, you sculpted some of the singlet, I believe. The hair may be a bit too platinum blonde but it still looks fine.
I'm giving this match to Beyondo. I liked Harlem Heat a little bit more than the West Texas Rednecks. All 4 figures are incredible though.
Gore
The figure of your career, I'd say. The only way I would've been iffy on you winning hands down, was if ROZZ did Bull Nakano. I was probably one of the first people to see the protos and WIP pics. The head is amazing, I think. I know I asked you at least 2 or 3 times what head you were using. The hair is the best for the figure. The fat torso, sculpted with the skinny arms and MMA gloves really help give her the unique build that she has. The eyes/lipstick really take away from the head being a guy. The paint on the fake leather stuff you used is incredible. If I was ROZZ, I would've took pics of my custom, no matter what but it's ok. You would've won the match, hands down, in my opinion. Can't wait for you to get that title shot.
Gatecitysinner vs. Bartman-
I saw Shark when you first started it. The pics really do your figures wonders, no doubt about that. The fact that you didn't use a Tenta head on a Tenta custom is really unique. The painting on the logos is amazing, to say the least. I love the front and back. Shark was a terrible gimmick. The hair sculpt and ponytail look great, as well as the facepaint. The bandana is excellent too.
Duke "The Dumpster" Droese-
If anything, it's a far bit too plain for my liking. The dirty look that the gloves have is awesome. The shirt seems a bit chunky, it may be the grey paint. The trashbag is a great accessory, made me LOL. Now to the pants. They're just too plain for my liking. I think you should've used jeans, at least upper legs, for the pockets on them. they also would've given him the seam down the side of his pants.
I'm giving this one to GatecitySinner. All the parts work, the paint is smooth and I think it's a bit Wrestlecrappier than Bartman's Droese.
customkenny and 4LK vs. TCKDEEN and wwe4ever
Roderick Strong/James Gibson- While this isn't a normal tag team like LAX, it still makese sense. Gibson/Roderick have a very close bond together (as you can tell with James doing Roderick's gutbuster on TV now and Roddy calling one of his moves, the Gibson driver).
4LK is one of my favorite up and coming customizers. With every custom he makes, he improves. This is no different. The part choices he made for this are great. The Heidenreich boots for Strong's boots work perfectly. The Regal torso for Roddy is perfect. Roddy is a jacked dude but he's pretty soft in the stomach. The closed fist and open hand are the best since Roddy's a chopper. The painting on the tights look good from what I can see but I would've loved a close up shot. Not too fond of the head but I'm not font of the head when it's used for RVD. The hairsculpt looks good though.
Custom Kenny- I'm not sure if I've seen a DA Noble before. The boots are painted good. I'm not sure how I feel about the tights. The logo seems a bit off. I would've painted the hair/beard since Noble is darker now than he was in RA 2. The hand tape mimics Nobles perfectly. All you need now, is a Country Boy Can Survive in the background, =).
wwe4ever- I think it's cool that Homicide has the bandanas on but you can't see the face. The skintone is a bit too light for my liking. The tattoos seem off to me. I think you should've used a sweatpants crotch piece and sanded off the pockets on the jeans. The part choices seem to work. I wonder how the new shirt mold (used on Strike Force) would've looked on Homicide, since he wears his shirts pretty loose. The font on the shirt looks ok. No pants logo really kills the overall presentation of the figure.
TCKDeen- I'm not going to hate on decals since I use them myself but I think you should've painted over the blue/red with paint, to at least make it more brighter. The skintone looks ok but I'm not a fan of painted skintone. The head from the side looks terrible. I'm not sure what head you used but the back looks uneven from the front. The chain accessory with the belt is a nice touch. The torso crack is a bit sloppy and I agree with Becca on fixing that with some sculpey.
I'm giving this one to 4LK and Custom Kenny. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of any of them but I liked 4LK and CustomKenny's a little more.
TitanTrap vs. TCKDEEN
TCKDeen's Sting- I don't mess with Toybiz figures at all. I hate the pants. They seem too bunched up. The scorpion looks ok but again, I would've loved a clear shot of it. Facepaint looks good but I'm not too fond of the head. The hair should be a little bit more Platinum blonde, I think.
Titantrap- I think the head choice for it, is the best. The Dean head really captures his face and the hair. The facepaint on both masks look excellent. The singlet looks excellent. All the part choices work. The one thing I'm not a fan of is the "skin" on the leg showing, since it doesn't match up but besides that, I'd say this is a great figure. I'm probably most familiar with him since he used to work for USWA (and I went every tuesday night). Actually dressed up as him for Halloween one year, haha.
I'm giving this match to Titantrap. It's unique and one of a kind for sure.
Peace to the Gods vs Razor
Razor- The head is a good idea but the execution isn't the best. The shirt looks ok but the flash really kills the logo on the front. The jeans look ok (I'm assuming it's a Best of WCW Kidman lower half). I'm begging Jakks to put out a loose shirt like Kidman, Homicide, whoever else wears, non tucked in.
Peace to the Gods- To be honest, I'm not a fan. The torso is WAY too jacked for Hall. The chest hair looks like it was done with a blo-pen. The sunglasses are a good touch. I think if the torso was a bit smaller, the skintone was more like Jakks, I would like it more. The tights/boots look good. I don't recall his tight design, so I can't really comment. Did he only have STUD on his tights?
I wasn't sure which way to vote on this but I'll vote for the Kidman done by Razor. I just liked it more.
All the customs were a lot of fun to look at. I can't wait for Customania, for sure. Hopefully everyone who is "booked" for Customania shows up and there is a full card instead of matches being changed, forfeits, whatever.

as soon as isaw this match on the card i knew it would be good and one hell of a war but when i saw the final product i was shocked because beyondo made 2 amazing customs that were better than who i thought was the best customizer on this board

Beyondo Vs. Famous J
I love both sets, I love the head mods on the Windham, but I have to go with Beyondo here, for the level of modding on his figures. For whatever reason, I like the Stevie Ray figure way more that the Booker figure. I think it might have looked better if the DA head was used.
Bartman Vs. GCS
I'm going with GCS. I find his figure to be more asthetically appealing. It's smooth and colorful, and the Bigelow head looks great. The Droese in comparison just seems dull looking. I appreciate the trashbag accessory though.
WWE4Ever/TCKDeen Vs. 4LK/Customkenny
I'm going with WWE4Ever & TCKDeen. I'm not too big on the head on Hernandez, and I can't really judge the head on 'Cide due to the bandannas, but the ring gear looks sharper & more well done. Are those decals on Hernandez? The trunks on Gibson look like they could use another coat of orange, and the Strong just kinda looks dull. Maybe use a Silver instead of Grey?
TCKDeen Vs. Titantrap
I think I'm going with Deen on this one. I like both figures, but I think I'm going with the Sting because of the colorfulness, and the skintone. It's a little more asthetically pleasing than the Phantasio, although I like the Phantasio. It's my parts that made that Phantasio. It's good to see you put all my parts to use Titan.
Peace to the Gods Vs. Razor
I think I'm going with Razor. The Diamond Stud figure just kinda looks dull, the skintone is kinda chalky looking, it could possibly use some sealer or something. I like the use of the 123 Kid head for the Kidman.

This is a really close one... Beyondo, This set is very ambitious. you did a great job overall. Nice, smooth sculpting. Solid painting and you took a great approach to the straps around their necks. Your head choice for Stevie Ray is awesome. I also like the modding on the knee pads. However, Booker T's flat-top is a bit off to me and Stevie Ray's hat/bandanna(?) is a little too smooth. A few folds work really well for it. The boots could really use something, they seem really flat compared to the rest of the figures... Anybody going to see "Sweeney Todd" this weekend? Famousj, Dr. Frankenstein in full color! I love how you have solid part choices for your customs. much better than jakks. The modded Windham head is killer(nice hair mod). The tassels and glove are nice additions. the modding on Henning is perfect too. However, I have a feeling you phoned this one in, O-Famous-One. No matter how hard I try, I can't get past the fact that these seem like fillers. I would've really liked to see what you and rome had in store. Windham really could've used a vest with tassels(which I see that you can pull off). These guys did have a pretty dull attire but there are a lot of little things that you could've done to make these more interesting. You executed flawlessly but lacked something to really make it special. Overall, 4 great customs by 2 great customizers. I guess it comes down to which I'd like on my shelf more. Famousj takes it. Hey, remember when Terry Funk presented the "Nature Boy" trophy to Ric Flair? I'll be around.... Gore, That has to be the ugliest woman i"ve ever seen, which makes it such a great custom. Is that a modded Booker T head? The outfit is awesome. I've never seen something so ugly that looked so good. Great job! However, some of the modding on the chest back and forehead looks a little rough. That is one ugly woman  Overall, good job. congrats Bartman, Duke is without a doubt one of the worst gimmicks ever. The trash bag is genius. The painting and modding is solid and I love the dirty gloves. However, the pants seem a little shiny and, well, it's Duke"The Dumpster"Droese Gate, Other than "The Shock master", this is the worst gimmick of them all(well, all of Brutus beefcakes wCw gimmicks were pretty awful too). You really pulled this one off greatly. The designs are well done and the chest hair looks good. However, I would've like to have seen a full skin tone from you and the boots could use another coat of white. I really can't say much more negatively about it. Overall, two more great customs and two of the worst gimmicks out. Great execution from both of you. Gate takes it by a nose hair. I just love all of the prints on the attire. 4lk, The custom looks pretty clean and simple. The hair modding is good and the custom turned out well. However, the attire looks very dull and the boots could use a few more coats of black. customkenny, The confederate flag and the hand tape look well done. (flag a decal?) A solid piece to fit in someones DA collection. However, you could use a couple more coats of paint on the boots and shorts. TCKDeen, I love the shorts, they really stand out on the figure. The mixture of the DA lower legs with the RA body was a great idea and works well. Nice resemblance to Hernandez. The title was a nice add on However, the modding on the head is a bit chunky. You could've done a little better with the cracked torso(that gaping hole in the side only hurts your presentation). I would've like to get a better shot of the tattoo's. WWe4ever, The base painting looks smooth and I like the tattoo. Simple custom but solid. However, the painting on the bandanna could've been a whole lot cleaner. I also think you can do a cleaner design on the tee. I'd like to comment on the face but you have it covered. Overall, 4 nice customs. I have to give this one to wwe/tckdeen on the strength of Hernandez's shorts and Deen's modding attempt on his head. This was a very hard one. TCKDeen, I am a huge fan of your presentation of this custom. Sting is my all time favorite wrestler and you pulled it of wonderfully. You posed it nicely and the parts choice is awesome! The face paint is flawless. You are definitely coming into your own as a customizer. Great job. However, there are a few rough spots on this figure especially around the left elbow. You could've sanded the shorts down also, they make the figure look chunky around the crotch area. The shade you used for the hair is too yellow. I'd say mix a little white and beige and dry brush it on over the yellow. I also feel as though that scorpion could've been a little bigger. Titantrap, I really like the approach you took with your custom. It shows that you put a lot of thought into your work. I like how you went into a different direction with you painted faced wrestler. Most would choose Sting or Warrior. You, however, stepped outside of the box. The painting is very smooth and your parts choice is solid. The edge lines look very sharp and crisp. Love the extra mask. Great overall job. However, I would've liked to have seen you try the jacket since the attire was just plain black. Your presentation, in my opinion, hurt you a lot when compared to TCKDeen's. There is a little too much going on in the background. Both guys did a great job and I really love the presentation of TCKDeens Sting but Titantrap's painting was so much smoother.... My vote goes to..... Titantrap, but clean up your background a little next time, it really brings the focus back to your figure. |
