This set makes me glad I'm pretty much done collecting. Look at Sid's accessories- wow a vest AND AN ELBOW PAD?! You spoil us so much Mattel. I can't tell you how much I've been saying "Hey, you know what I need as an accessory with a figure with absolutely no deco? A PAD.  the WHC you could've given him, an elbow pad is much more important."  |

Preordered Bulldog and Sid. Bulldog looks AMAZING! I'm ok with the crazy Sid scan. Will buy Ziggler and Godfather next payday. Still undecided on Sting. Was hoping for WM31. Would rather have him in full wrestling gear but will still probably pick him up. Have to say it again, Bulldog looks AMAZING! Takanta, HBK and him were my favorites as a kid so to add this version makes me really happy. Now, if they were finally to release a Tatanka....

Fig of the set is godfather hands down. Looks great.
Sting looks awkward af.
Sid looks decent. Should've included class winged eagles championship.
Nothing wrong with bulldog.
Dolph is horrendous. Probably will be worst elite of the year.

Sycho Sid Merle is alright. Godfather's fine but not the colours I'd have picked. The others look pretty bad.

Thanks for sharing the pics!!!!! I'm very dissapointed with Sting, why did they have to paint on a shirt that should've been an accessory you can take on and off? Makes no sense and that scan is laughable. I'll probably get the figure and swap a DM Sting head on it maybe it would look better. As I've said in other threads months ago, it always looked like Sting had on trunks that were vastly different from what he wrestled in. The few times he ran into the ring, it looked like the scorpions went halfway up the trunks instead of all the way up the singlet. This figure confirms my thoughts That said, when they chose this outfit, Sting has never been seen wearing this singlet/trunk without the Scorpion shirt. If they made it removable, they'd either have to ask Sting what it was he was wearing as its entirely possible they are tights and not a singlet, or guess what was under the shirt. In either case, they'd be displaying an attire that was never fully revealed. That's my best guess as to why they went with the painted shirt. That's a pretty fair point. |

Godfather look great. Don't know that I'll get him, as I never cared for him. Davey Boy looks good for the most part. Don't like the ripped biceps, though. I'd prefer the Hillbilly Jim biceps that are the same size but not ripped, but the Lesnar biceps might be perfect for that era Bulldog. Sid looks decent, outside of the smile and the overly ripped body. I'll have to see what that head looks like on the Hillbilly Jim body I use for my custom Sid.     I hope it's only the angle of the pics, but Sting's head looks squished. That hard plastic coat only increases the squishy look. Also should have less ripped arms, and I don't like the painted-on shirts on Elite figures. Sadly, I have to pass on old man Stinger. Probably getting Mizdow. Looks pretty solid. Why are Dolph's figures still using those ridiculously huge arms, when Matty has already made smaller, ripped biceps that would be more appropriate for him? Easy pass. |

The smiling look doesn't represent his general in-ring demeanor. These are supposed to be "wrestling" figures, not "posing for a photo" figures. |

im good w/ the color choice on Godfather....that was his look in Smackdown (PS1), Royal Rumble (dreamcast) and WrestleMania 2000. So its obviously something he wore a lot if 3 videogames used it.
I care more about Sid having a vest and elbow pad more than a wwf championship belt. i already have like 8 of them. And anyone that has been collecting for awhile likely has several of them as well.

Not the biggest fan of this set now I've seen the pics. However I was only interested in Godfather and I think they've done really well with his figure.
Could have done with a little orange or purple in the attire but I guess there's always something to complain about.

I think most ppl don't want boring lifeless head scans. Im assuming ur the one that always points that out?? I know theres someone that has that issue everytime we get a flashback. scans should have personality. look at the serious cactus jack scan. The one time they go for a serious look on someone who's face has a ton of character...it was terrible. I hated that head. |

A cloth or plastic shirt would look pretty bad under a plastic jacket. Sting wears his shirt in matches while fighting so it makes perfect sense for Mattel to do that. Might even make it more accurate.
Blame Sting for not taking his shirt off in matches
