A cloth or plastic shirt would look pretty bad under a plastic jacket. Sting wears his shirt in matches while fighting so it makes perfect sense for Mattel to do that. Might even make it more accurate. Blame Sting for not taking his shirt off in matches He had 3 matches in wwe, 2 of them were without a shirt, they could've done a shirted sting as a basic |

Ok I will be buying 4 out of 6. Sting looks ok but I wish he didn't have that t shirt on. Ziggler is great, I don't get the hate. Godfather is spot on but I'll pass because I'm not really a fan of his. Bulldog looks alright but I wish it had a different tight design so pass. Mizdow is exactly what I expected. Sid's face is a bit off but I love Sid so I'll buy it anyway.

This set makes me glad I'm pretty much done collecting. Look at Sid's accessories- wow a vest AND AN ELBOW PAD?! You spoil us so much Mattel. I can't tell you how much I've been saying "Hey, you know what I need as an accessory with a figure with absolutely no deco? A PAD.  the WHC you could've given him, an elbow pad is much more important."  Definitely picking up sid for that elbow pad the pad is amazing |

Definitely picking up sid for that elbow pad the pad is amazing Might pick up 2, then I could use 1 of the elbow pads for a custom. |

to be fair...thats just a huge pet peeve of urs. I think most ppl don't want boring lifeless head scans. Im assuming ur the one that always points that out?? I know theres someone that has that issue everytime we get a flashback. scans should have personality. look at the serious cactus jack scan. The one time they go for a serious look on someone who's face has a ton of character...it was terrible. I hated that head. It's pretty obvious I'm not the only person unhappy with this Sid headscan... I'm not saying scans shouldn't have personality, I'm saying they should have PERSONALITY THAT FITS WITH THEIR CHARACTER. And to know the character well you have to actually watch matches and footage and storylines - not just look at a few photos. Sid generally had an intense mean look 99% of the time and when he was in the ring. His character emitted an aura of controlled dominance and physical power. He smiled maybe 1% of the time. Mainly for the odd promo photo. Scans should represent the overall character, not just how they occassionally looked in a couple of promo photos. I agree the Cactus Jack headscan was bad. Because in that case a serious headscan didn't fit the character. Capturing a likeness and personality is about much more than just what you see in a photo. |

Ziggler is a small guy yet he is built bigger than Razor, Gunn, almost everyone on the roster who is his size or larger. Ever since they put him on the juice in e19 his Elites are easy passes. Maybe in a Jakks collection he would look in scale, but not a Mattel collection. |

Sid never made a face like that and he looks like Heath Ledger there. The Sting seems to be molded out of Play-doh or something. I really only collect early WCW, NWA, and original ECW guys, so I'm pretty disappointed in this batch. I really hope the Sid face scan gets redone completely because it just plain doesn't look like him. I laughed pretty hard thinking it was just a troll post, but then realized oh shit!

I hate to vent here, as I'm very very rarely a complainer, but when I first saw Sid, I was so disappointed I wanted to throw up. It's a swift kick in the pants when a huge want (and likely the only version we'll get) ends up looking VERY mediocre.
And I'm sorry, but that whole hot toys bit is a cop out. Nobody is asking for, or expecting a 20 dollar figure to be on the same level as a 250 dollar high end collectible. No, rather we would like the figure to at least resemble the person it's portraying...and mattel has certainly proven that they are more than capable of doing so.
That's the issue...we know what they can do, but they missed the mark here. Granted, that side by side with the real photo of Sid helps you can see that his eyebrows are off, nose is too slender, and his hair should poof out on the sides.
Besides the likeness, I think the body is mostly off too. I absolutely hate those super ripped thighs and the cartoony torso. Sid was a buff dude, but he wasn't super defined.
Am I still getting him and Sting? Absolutely. But had I seen those pics, I would have ordered Bulldog and Godfather now and waited for Sid and Sting for Christmas.
I hope perhaps these were old protos and that changes will have been made but I doubt it. If not, I can only hope we get a blue trunks Sid with a new head sculpt and better parts

He only wore the shirt on RAW. His PPV matches he hasn't worn the shirts. Plus my bigger complaint is the placement of the scorpions on his singlet. The top of the scorpions shouldn't be at his crotch. That just looks odd. Will be either swapping out the torso with a Bushwhackers and give him sleeveless arms. And redo the scorpions. Or take the easy way and put the e39 head and forearms/hands on the b55 figure for my modern Sting. |

With Sid, I get that they're going for this:  But it's coming out like this:  I've said it many times before, but in my opinion an "Evil Smile" just does not translate into figure form. It always just looks like "Goofy Smile". |

I'm surprised they gave Sid that scan as they usually debut figures with a stoic look. I think the paint app on the eyes makes it worst than it is.
I think the Sting scan is a good representation of him, but something still seems off.
That shirt on Dolph, as it was on Eddie, looks straight up ridiculous.

Why is everyone complaining? They went for the "Sycho Sid" look and I feel they pulled it off.  Because he didn't look like that 99% of the time, that's why. The smiling look doesn't represent his general in-ring demeanor. These are supposed to be "wrestling" figures, not "posing for a photo" figures. Bro, not everyone plays with their figures like you. I for one like to display my figures and pose them as if they were "posing for a photo". If you like playing with your figures then that's your prerogative but Mattel doesn't make figures exclusively for you to have your play time. If you've noticed throughout the years they have made different scans to capture different emotions, take the latest Brock for example his mouth is open and it goes good with an F5 for when you're having your playtime. The Brock prior to that one had a plain serious face. Mattel knows what they're doing, let them do what they do. |
