This his attire from the indys not from OVW. my first custom sucks kinda, i guess. i sculpted the joints together cuz i dont have sealer, as bad as it looks it was hard as . here it is. rate it bash it and plz tell me what i need to improve on. thanks

believe it or not i see what you were going for. this board is filled with the best customizers going and having no sealer means wait. good customizers are patient but for a first attempt everyone rushes a bit. keep going.

ok sort out your typing and dude don't listen to him he just sucks but ok man not brilliant if you are going to paint neaten it up and the eyes are what are bothering me maybe if you sand it down to smooth it out that might help but ok i guess for a first

cuz if u dont seal it when u move the arms or legs or wutever the paint rubs off, so thats why i made his joints inmobil, and those circles r nipples, ed up ones ;D

I think you're moving too fast. Perhaps start off with something more simple? For your first custom, I don't think everyone is expecting custom skintone, heavily sculpted chest, head and arms, etc. Start with the basics.

I think you attempted too much sculpting, if anything maybe you should've just done a small torso sculpt or something along those lines.

Nonetheless, nice try. I'm sure you'll only improve.

umm ok, for a first i must say that i admire your perseverance.

When they say to "seal" the joints, that means to place a paint sealant or probably some super glue over the painted area (of course not on the joint itself as it will immobilize the fig.).

You may have misinterpreted the "sealing" part.

Try to be patient in painting to avoid clumping, use acrylic paint and remember to "paint thin".

If you can, try to practice painting first, then probably you can move on to practice painting eyes.

When you sculpt and it starts to look uneven, use sandpaper to smoothen out the sculpt before painting.

really, if you didnt have sealer...why didnt you buy some?
& the sculpting is bad & uneven, you should work on that. nipples...seriously, very misplaced. clumpy painting.
you should've started with something less challenging. work on everything. practice more & learn how to paint, & BUY SOME FRIGGIN SEALER!!!!!

That is the worst first custom I have ever seen. It looks like his skin is burning off and his nipples are in the wrong place. I'm sorry mate but if you want to know what to improve on it's customizing in general. As harsh as it sounds it is for your own good and it needed to be said. The only good thing is the skin tone.
