During the weekend I made a RA Randy Savage, but I was not happy with the way I had painted the stars on his trunks. I have zero talent for painting. Decided to use the extra Brian Pillman body I had (it was a left over from the Horsemen Pillman I did using BoWCW Benoit...). Don't recall Savage ever wearing black trunks with red stars....but it is poor man's custom..... atleast the stars are there on the proper spot already!!! I am fully aware that I have very little talent, but I did have fun with modding the head (and wasted two good Hillbilly heads I had because I needed the hair)..... anyway. I had intended to use this Savage for an 20 minutes animation I plan on making, but now decided to ask people with real talent to make one for me. When judging.....be kind.... thanks.

I for one am a fan of this, add some glasses and a robe and I say it gets the job done. Overall I like it, nice work STOM.

It looks pretty good, very neat and official looking, I just don't think it really looks like Savage. I thought about using a Terkay head but I was planning on "shaving" a bit off the beard as Macho Man never had a very bushy beard, also, his hairline is further back. The only other problem with that head for Savage is that the expression is far too sombre, I don't know how well it would work but I plan on modding the eyes a bit when I try it. It looks quite good though 7/10.

It's not bad at all. It really reminds me of Savage when he wrestled for his fathers promotion ICW. I saw him wrestle with black trunks at a house show around '87 but, the stars were white. He's so hard to do because of the eyes, it's what really gives him the personality.

hmm, i thought you had another one made, but i guess you scrapped it. looks pretty good though. i was also thinking of getting a hollywood blondes to make old school macho. did you do the tights on the back or at least paint it black to cover it up? the hair works for him. i have a macho coming out soon too with a terkay head. i hope he don't come out looking weird. lol. but this head works. you need glasses to cover it up though.

hmm, i thought you had another one made, but i guess you scrapped it. I made one using the Killer Kowalski body, but the paint on the stars turned out too chunky and not crisp enough. Wasn't really happy with it. Still intend to buy a really good custom as Jakks will probably never make one.

I'd like to see what he would look like with "KoKo B ware glasses" on, and a Freebirds Robe.

Not bad I am not totally sold on the head choice but it works much better than I would have thought. The one suggestion that I would make is the hair should be a little longer.

I think it would actually look really really good with the head from the CS Genius fig slightly modified.

Couldn't Jakks release some kind of unpainted Macho Man for customizers to use, as long as they don't use his name or gimmick I think they could, but I'm not sure on that.
On some football (Soccer) games, if they don't have the players permission, they go ahead making the player anyway, but give him a different name. That way you have the player and it's all legal.
You can edit the name in most games to make it the real persons name, so why not an unpainted Macho Man figure that we can just paint?
Mabye all of what I just said makes no sense, or couldn't be done, but it's a thought.

Sure, there's us on the WF board, and others I'm sure.. but there just aren't enough people who have a collection of paints that they use to modify action figures. There's no point in making a mold for something, putting them out, and then not having the customer base to buy it!
