It's been awhile since I posted. Quick note, I wanted to get back into posting Shows, but didn't have
the time to write up full results. So I summarized matches and most
promos. It's not as detailed, but it's shorter and easier to type.
I'll write full results of PPVs.
Raw kicks off with a replay of Unforgiven, "Stronger" by Trust Company playing in the background. We see Edge spear Rey Mysterio out of the West Coast Pop. 1, 2, 3. Edge and Christian are the new tag team champions. Scene switches the Chris Benoit locking on the crossface on Austin. Austin's foot is in the ropes as he taps. The ref calls for the win, but notices Austin's foot. He calls for the match to be restarted. Benoit complains, only to be spun around by Austin. Stunner. Austin gets the pin, and walks victoriously out of the arena. Finally, we get the violent recap of the WCW Title match. Last Man Standing rules. RVD being tossed from ringside through the announcers table. Vandaminator into Show, folowed by a Van Terminator. Show sticking RVD's head between the steps and ring post, then giving the stairs a running kick. RVD breaking a bat over shows bat and ramming him headfirst though the glass Unforgiven sign. Finally RVD sets up Show on the open chair and goes for a Frog Splash, only for Show to roll out of the way. He drags Rob back to the chair and delivers both a hog log and a chokeslam on the open chair. The ref counts to ten. Big Show retains the WCW title.
As the video ends, Commissioner Foley can be seen. As stipulated last night, at Unforgiven, the winner of the Austin/Benoit match would get a shot at the WWF Title. Also, if Austin picked up the victory, Benoit would have to defend his Intercontinental title against anyone Austin chose. So Tonight, here on Raw, we will have a huge Intercontinental Championship match.
"Across the Nation" plays and Raw's opening video rolls.
Big Show's music hits and he walks to the ring, holding his WCW Title. He starts to congradulate himself for retaining, but before he can, RVD's music hits and he walks to the ring. Sliding in without a word, he walks up and attacks. The two begin brawling as security tries to break them up. Commissioner Foley's music hits and he walks to the ring. RVD's demanding a rematch.
"Damnit you two, I thought this had been settled last night at Unforgiven, but clearly I was wrong. So you RVD want a rematch of last night. And I take it, you fans want a rematch. (huge cheers) So tonight, right here in Detroit, Michigan, we will have RVD vs Big Show, one more time, for the WCW title. The winner will be WCW Champion, free and clear, no more interference from the other person. And the loser will face Paul London for the Hardcore Title at No Mercy."

Matt Morgan is already in the ring, handing his European title to the ref. Shark Boy comes running out and the two exchange blows. Shark Boy reverses the Sit Out Powerbomb into a face buster. As he sizes up Morgan for the kill, Lesnar slides into the ring, and F5s him. The ref calls for the bell.
Lesnar: "I left you broken, just like I leave everyone else. You got lucky and beat me before. But I'll be damned if I'm remembered as Shark Boy's first win. I'll be damned if I let a cheap victory go unanswered. I will not lose to some little Jaws wanna be reject twice. Remember me when you're in the hospital."
Lesnar wraps a chair around Shark Boy's hand, and stomps it from the top rope.
Backstage, we see Cena and K-Kwik talking. K-Kwik assures Cena he'll be just fine against Maven.
Back in the ring, Austin is ready to make his huge announcement.
"When I beat Benoit last night 1,2,3, in the middle of the ring, I earned two things. 1, I get a shot at the WWE Champion, Edge. 2, I get to book that mealy mouthed Canadian in any match I want and strip him of his title. So I would like to announce who I've decided Benoit is facing tonight. I talked to the boys. Jim, Jack, Jose, and even the Captain. We had a round of beer. Two rounds. Hell, we cleaned the place out, and we came to a decision. Tonight it will be Chris Benoit vs. Batista (cheers) vs. Rhyno (cheers) vs Mankind (the fans realize Benoit is getting screwed and begin booing) vs Raven vs A-Train vs Mark Henry vs someone I haven't decided on yet, in an eight way match for his IC Title. And to make it even more unfair, I'll give 10 grand to anyone who pins him or makes him submit, and 100 grand to anyone who takes him out. I still need an eighth man, but hell...."
Hurricane's music hits and he walks out to the ring.
"Hell, son, you'll work. Why not. You can be the eighth man, and maybe you'll even get that money yourself. One way or another, that worthless Canadian is losing his belt tonight. And that's the bottom line, cause Stone Cold said so."
Commercial.
We come back to K-Kwik vs Maven. We get a recap of Unforgiven, where Shane McMahon cost Maven the victory, giving Cena a low blow in front of the ref. K-Kwik jumps in the ring and gives Shane a scissor kick, taking him out. Ducking a Maven clothesline, he sends Maven into Cena for a big F-U. During the match it's quite clear Maven has never fought anyone like K-Kwik. The match finishes with K-Kwik ducking Maven's dropkick with the splits, and scissor kicking him as he tries to regain his footing. Easy victory for K in his first match.
In Foley's office, Rosey agrees to a one on one match vs Tajiri. Like the triple threat Hardcore match last night, Tajiri can be unbound, and have no DQ rules, but since he is a superhero, and doesn't need weapons, he'll play by the normal DQ rules.
Maven is ranting to Shane about his loss to K-Kwik. Shane tells him not to worry, he's set up a match for Cena that should be happening now.
In the ring, Cena is waiting for his opponent, who turns out to be the humongous Ake Bono. Despite trying to mount an offense Bono keeps smacking him down. He manages to finally knock him down for the five knuckle shuffle. But Bono is just to big for Cena to F-U. He struggles, giving Bono the opening. Ake Bono takes Cena dwon and delivers a Sumo Splash from the second rope for the three count.

Rosey and Tajiri tangle up as we come back. Tajiri tries to beat Rosey legitimately, but Rosey is just too dominant. Tajiri goes to get a chair. As he slides in, Rosey drop kicks his knee, and Tajiri falls, bouncing his face off the chair. The ref DQs Rosey for illegal use of a weapon. As Rosey tries to argue, Tajiri uses the chair on him, and gives him the kick to the head as he drops.
Edge is being interviewed. He complains that seeing as how he got the WWF title in the main event of SummerSlam, in the biggest match this business has had yet, the first ever Elimination Chamber, and is now one half of the Tag Team champs, he feels he should get a little more respect, and shouldn't be some midcard attraction. He beat five men:
Rock, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Mark Henry, and Kane in the cage, and he's gotta fight just to get air time.
In the ring, Billy Gunn is squaring off against Hussain. He fares pretty well, keeping Hussain and Davari at bay. As he hits the Fame-Asser, the Titantron flickers on. Haas and Benjamin are standing there gloating with Rico's contract as he can be seen having to clean out toilets. Gunn yells at the screen until it turns off. He turns back to face Hussain and gets a black out followed by the Camel Clutch for the win for Hussain.
Commercial.
Orton comes to the ring to face off with Nash. Some minor back and forth action. Orton ducks the big boot and spins Nash into the RKO, with a roll-up for a win.
Benoit is being interviewed about his match.
"I have been around the world. I have faced the best, and I have beaten the best. The deck has always been stacked against me, my whole life. I have never had it easy. Yet I always come out on top. Stone Cold Steve Austin, I told you that you could throw any opponent at me that you wanted, so you chose seven. But I said it then and I say it now, choose whoever you want, I will win, and I will retain the Intercontinental title. I am the best in this business, and I will still come out on top. I am for real. And I am the Intercontinental Champion. I walked in with this belt, and I will walk out with this belt. It's that damned simple."
Kane's music hits and he walks to the ring. A second later, Edge's music hits and he sprints to the ring. Ripping off his belt, he throws it aside and tackles Kane. The two exchange blows, and Kane goes for the chokeslam. Edge counters into the Edgecution. 2 Count. He goes for the spear and gets a chokeslam, rolling out of the ring. Kane goes for a top rope clothesline, and Edge dives out of the way, sending Kane ribs first into the guard rail. Rolling him back in, Edge hits the spear, but Kane sits up. Edge hit another. Still no luck. Edge goes for the Edgecution again, but kane reverses, goes for the Tombstone. Edge slides out, pushes Kane to the ropes, and Edge hits a third Spear, getting the three count. Edge gets his WWF belt back, and falls to his knees in the ring, holding it above his head.
Commercial.
We come back and the referee announces the IC title match, scheduled for elimination. Each of the 7 Challengers (Hurricane, A-Train, Mankind, Mark Henry, Rhyno, Batista and Raven) comes out and takes their place in the ring. Finally Benoit's music hits, and the fans jump to their feet in rabid applause. He unhooks his belt and slides in in the ring first, telling the ref to hold everyone back.
He slides in, and before the bell can be rung, he begins punching and chopping his challengers, knocking them away almost as quick as they can get back at him. It's not long before they all begin the beatdown on him. He's taken down quickly, and beat on. Batista goes for the pin, only to be pulled off by Rhyno. Henry goes for it and gets kicked in the head by Train. Before long it becomes a free for all as they all are desperate to get the 10K bounty, most of them sending each other out of the ring. Mankind sneaks in and goes for the Mandible Claw, but Benoit reverses it into the Crossface. Mankind tries to get to the ropes, but has to tap out. Batista is quick to go back on the attack, fighting Benoit tooth and nail. Benoit gets him in the corner and begins chopping away. Suddenly, Rhyno lunges into the Gore. Benoit moves, allowing Batista to take all of it. As Rhyno stands, Benoit hits 4 rolling German suplexes, and on the 5th, goes into the crossface. Rhyno taps. He sees Batista lying prone, and slides his finger across his neck. One diving headbutt and a three count later, Batista is gone, and we are down to 5. It seems instantly that Henry, Raven and A-Train are back in the ring, beating Benoit back down. He tries to get up, but they won't let him to his feet. From out of nowhere, Hurricane bounds off the ropes and delivers a shining wizard to Train. He throws several punches to Henry's jaw, then turns to Raven. As Raven and Hurricane brawl, Henry picks up Benoit. He goes for the World's Strongest Slam, but Benoit slides behind him, and starts a devastating chain of Rolling Germans. After 9, Henry calls for the tap. Benoit, exhausted, collapses in the corner as Train clocks Hurricane from behind, allowing Raven to hit the Raven Effect, and eliminate Hurricane. Train and Raven team up on Benoit, delivering a double suplex. As they take turns beating on him, out of desperation, he begins delivering chops back and forth.
Train goes for an axe kick, but Benoit collapses and Raven takes the brunt, knocking him out of the ring. He turns back and Benoit locks him in the crossface. Raven slides back in to break it up, but Train taps before he can kick Benoit off. Benoit hits some suplexes on Raven, but Train breaks it up, delivering the DeRailer on Benoit and dragging Raven on top. 1, 2, kickout. No one can believe it. The ref tells Train to leave, and Raven goes for the belt. He swings at Benoit and misses, hitting the ref. Benoit hits a drop toe hold, planting Raven face first on the belt. He puts the crossface on, and Raven taps, with no ref to call for the bell.
Austin runs down, chair in hand. He slams it against the back of Benoit's head. Picking him up, Austin kicks him right in the crotch, and before he can fall, lays a Stunner on him. Raven grabs him, moves to the chair, and plants a Raven effect on the chair. As he slides it out, Austin drags the ref over, wakes him up, and the 3 is counted.
Raven is the new IC Champ.
As Raven walks back up the ramp, Train runs back down. Going crazy, he beats the hell out of Benoit with the chair left in the ring. He punches furiously until blood is running down Benoit's head in rivers. A quick derailer and he drags Benoit outside. Dropping him twice, ribs first, on the barrier, he hits a Train Wreck on the edge of the table, putting Benoit through it. He runs Benoit's spine into the ring post repeatedly, and pounds his back with the hammer used for the ring bell. He locks on a back and neck submission hold, which he keeps in until the security crew come down to break it up.
They drag a ranting Train up the ramp as Austin calls for some beers and toasts over Benoit's broken body. He drinks some and pours the rest in Benoit's open wounds. He continues toasting til
Commercial.
We come back to a recap of the RVD/Show Feud, clips of the feud.
JR: Big Show just pinned RVD to win the SuperBrawl. 13 men went in, only one came out. Big Show is going to Starrcade to face Booker T for the WCW Championship.

Booker hits the scissor kick and finishes him again.
RVD can be seen telling Show he blew it after the match. Show attacks him.
Show in the ring on Raw, destroying everything and everyone in sight.

Mania 2...Foley walks out to confront Show after Show interrupted Rey vs Ultimo.
Foley: This ends tonight Show. One way or the other. Tonight, you will get a number one contendership match for the WCW Title, against this man....RVD.
RVD hits the frog splash and gets the pin, and then Booker pins Goldberg to regain the belt.
At Backlash, Show interrupts the match to cost RVD the belt. RVD returns the favor next PPV, leading to a number one contenders match at King Of the Ring, AGAIN, between the two of them, with Booker as special guest ref. He calls a double DQ at KOR, and Foley declares a triple threat at Vengeance. Booker ends that match by taking both men out with a chair, losing via DQ.
Foley: No more DQs. No more cheap shots. One last time. Triple threat. Summerslam. It'll be Booker T vs Big Show vs RVD for the WCW Title in a ladder match.
Show chokeslams both men off the ladder and grabs the belt for the win.
And finally, the Last Man Standing last night.
Both men come to the ring, and London comes out as a special guest commentator. RVD gets the upper hand and as he bounds off the ropes for the Rolling Thunder, London jumps up and hits him with a chair.
RVD stumbles back forward, into a chokeslam from Show. Show gets the pin, and retains the belt. Raw goes off the air as Show stands over RVD, holding the WCW Championship triumphantly.

RVD stumbles back forward, into a chokeslam from Show. Show gets the pin, and retains the belt. Raw goes off the air as Show stands over RVD, holding the WCW Championship triumphantly.
