Really disappointed Arno isn't getting another game where he hunts down Shay. He deserved it, and it made sense. Now there's too many loose ends. Would have been so easy to put him into early 19th Century London too!

This series should have stopped after Revelations. I hate what it's become.

Ezio was my favorite as well.

Technically Black Flag was ACIV because they realised the numbered ones sell better, so they just made it number 4. They've since gone back to the normal ones. Unity should have been IV. 2 was the Ezio trilogy, 3 was the Kenway/Americas trilogy, and 4 (Unity) would be the 18th/19th Century Europe trilogy (or, as I hoped, the Arno/Dorian trilogy). That's essentially how it is anyway, but they just ed up the numbers.

I understand why people complain about the games being pumped out but I have yet to come across one that wasn't stellar except maybe Rogue.
I'm geeked. Victorian London is a favorite of mine, so I'm happy.

I agree that the numbered ones normally are, but I don't think IV was. To be fair Unity was the least important one yet in the modern day story (it didn't advance it, just stalled it really), but I would have numbered that because it was a big leap in the period story and the game physics etc. If you ask me they should wrap up the modern day story and just focus on past assassins. They really did mug themselves by establishing that Ezio rediscovered all of Altair's inventions, as it means they can't really go back to that 300 year period. That's probably why they've focused on the 18th Century so much, although to be fair it is basically the perfect time for AC. I'm getting a bit tired of it though - Victory will be the 5th game in that 120 year period in a row.

Are those still possibilities? I mean, they have to mix it up again eventually, right? Ancient Egypt and Feudal Japan would really freshen up the series, IMO.

Feudal Japan can happen after Ezio's discoveries so its fine. Ancient Egypt is difficult because its well established that back then there was only one hidden blade, but if they could find a way to retcon it then maybe. Its also difficult because the architecture was mostly pretty primitive, plus climbing up a pyramid sounds cool in theory but would be super boring to actually do in game. I think Ancient Greece would be better if they can get past the retcon thing.

You'd be surprised to know that even in ancient and primative times the Egyptians were the most advanced civilization in the known world. Their structures and cities were incredibly elaborate and so advanced they outshined all other civilization for quite some time. Trust me if AC were to go back that far, there'd be no better place than Egypt. But Greece would make a great sequel following Egypt. China would be an awesome locale as well.

They already have a China one done. It is essentially a Rogue equivalent exclusively for next gen consoles for people who bought the season pass.

Main character is Shao Jun in the early 1500s, she was one of Ezio's prized initiates after she fled China when her brotherhood was whiped out when (guessing on college history knowledge) the Jaijing Emperor went on a persecution rampage of anyone who wasn't Daoist. She's back in China and looking for revenge. Interesting story idea.
