WWE taped this week's episode of SmackDown on Tuesday night from Corpus Christi, Texas.
- Jack Swagger defeated Cesaro wins with the Patriot Lock. Rusev and Lana come out after the match and challenged Jack Swagger to a match at SummerSlam. Zeb accepts on Swagger's behalf.
- Randy Orton comes out, cuts a promo on Roman Reigns and challenges him to a match at SummerSlam.
- Kane and Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose in a handicap match is announced for later.
- R-Truth defeated Bo Dallas by disqualification when Bo wouldn't break a referee's 5-count. After the match, Dallas beat Truth down and cut a promo.
- AJ Lee defeated Rosa Mendes by submission in a short match. Afterwards, Paige attacked AJ at the top of the ramp and laid her out. Officials check on AJ while Paige skips away.
- Kane and Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose by disqualification when Ambrose hit Kane with a steel chair. Rollins ran away and Ambrose continued to attack Kane with the chair.
- Footage is shown of AJ Lee being taken away on a stretcher with a neck brace on.
- Diego (with Summer Rae and Layla) defeats Fandango after the Divas distracted Fandango.
- Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler by submission with his cross armbreaker. The Miz was on commentary and interrupted the match by standing on the commentary by mocking/distracting Ziggler, allowing Del Rio to get the win.

Jack Swagger defeated Cesaro wins with the Patriot Lock.  It's truly amazing. Cesaro was getting over with the Real Americans and it looked like Swagger was going to stay in mid-card purgatory. In just about 3-4 months, Cesaro and Swagger switched places and now Jack is getting some great reactions and now Cesaro is losing matches and the momentum that Cesaro earned from Mania season has declined quickly. I'm glad that Swagger is getting a big reaction and that he has a purpose on the main shows, but I'm upset about how WWE screwed up Cesaro. |

I'm glad that Swagger is getting a big reaction and that he has a purpose on the main shows, but I'm upset about how WWE screwed up Cesaro. They should have kept Cesaro as a face after WrestleMania instead of immediately putting him with Paul Heyman. The people want to cheer him, especially when he does the Cesaro Swing. I really hope that Cesaro will bounce back and won't become one of the guys that gets lost in the shuffle so to speak. |

If Jericho wins, Rowan is banned from ringside at SummerSlam. The referee sends Luke Harper to the back and Jericho wins with the Codebreaker. Bray Wyatt attacked Jericho but that may have been part of the dark main event, we're not sure yet. I MOTHER  ING HATE SMACKDOWN! THIS IS WHY I DON'T WATCH THIS SHOW. THIS IS WHY YOUR COMPANY IS LOSING MONEY. Swagger vs. Rusev for a rematch at Summer Slam after the same match at the last PPV ended in a lame count out. Also, the fact Swagger beat his recent Tag Team partner is put on the back burner so he can go against the "right" foreigner for a good crowd pop. Also, Cesaro leaves a good tag team, gets put with a great manager and is horrible, then suddenly quits so Heyman can focus on Brock and then the next Raw he's friends with him again. Way to turn the gun around and shoot yourself in the face with Cesaro / Heyman and kill Cesaros momentum following WM. Orton vs. Reigns - Acceptable, but this will probably get carried out until Survivor Series and not really do much because they'll repeat it at every PPV & Raw until then. Kane & Seth vs. Ambrose - GET KANE OUT OF THERE. You have genuine animosity between Rollins & Ambrose and you want to muck it up with someone who doesn't need to be in there. Also, lets actually have the match this time at Summer Slam. R-Truth vs. Bo Dallas - An exact rematch from Raw, awesome. I guess we'll see this match at Summer Slam for a third time, even more awesome! Also, good job building up Bo Dallas' momentum to be undefeated only to have him lose to a guy that no one cares about. They should have kept his streak going and used his heel turn as an angle to get wins unfairly and still keep his "## and Bo!" phrase going. No, have him lose to a guy who has a Rap CD coming out so we can hopefully get $$. Paige attacking AJ - Acceptable, but they made Paige adore AJ too quickly and then just as quick had her turn. This would have been good to build up and use beyond Summer Slam. Instead they pulled the trigger twice too fast and now we'll get a match with a Diva who still has some skills strengthening to do because they're sloppy each match and AJ. Diego defeats Fandango with Summer Rae & Layla - This is the Damien Sandow of matches. Take a jobber, make him beat a guy who if used right had good talent and has become a jobber to the stars essentially. The outcome will be the same every time, rinse and repeat. I haven't cared about Fandango since the Raw after WM29 when NJ gave him a great crowd pop. Since then he has been easily skipable and forgettable. Del Rio beats Ziggler for the 4156th time. The horse is beyond beaten with this feud, its not even a feud anymore. It was 2 years ago when they were chasing the title. Once Del Rio just began kicking him over and over in the head and making him submit over and over with no new outcome I could care less. Del Rio has 0 story behind him, yet he keeps getting main events and goes against guys who good crowd reactions. For whatever reason they keep trying to put Del Rio over and ITS NOT WORKING. They should make him the jobber and build the talent they have. Stop giving me the same match with the same outcome. |
