The "moment" when Flair finally gets a Mattel figure is "defining" enough for me. Plus, the Defining Moment line was never about the "moment", it was about the attires. The line is really called 'Figures with attires or accessories that are too expensive to be produced in the regular Elite line', but that wouldn't fit on the box. Also, the figure is back up on Kmart's site, but you still can't order it. Couldn't have said it better myself. Fine, so why can't they just get the trunks and boot colors right then? |

I have a strong feeling they'll make more Flair figures than just this one and they'll be more accurate. It leaves a lot to be desired, but it's the first Mattel Flair figure! I can't help but be amped for this. |

I know I'm a broken record. Just love the guy and want even his figures treated right. I've watched way too many of his matches and just know how the guy coordinated his outfits. I mean I'm sorta grasping at straws to think he ever did a photo shoot with the Four Horsemen in this getup but I can't even really confirm that.
Just wished it was all black attire like he would've worn it.

I'm thrilled, but it's like making an 80s Hogan figure in yellow and red with a black bandana and saying "Well he did wear black bandanas at some point" . It's off.

This is an awesome figure and it's great to finally have Flair to add to our Mattel collections.
With that being said, if that Defining Moments box we have seen is indeed real, I truly hope the description on the back is completely rewritten. It's poorly articulated and scatter-brained as all get out.

I do not care in this case that the robe isn't really the right one for this attire. It's beautiful, and it's CLOTH and not that awful rubber. Plus I love the galoob attire! We'll get more Flairs and you can mix/match then if it bugs you that bad.

Love the robe. Not arguing to change anything about the robe.
Plain cheap black plastic for the trunks kneepads and boots. Probably a cheap change honestly. Cheaper than extra apps on those blue kneepads probably.
Also, as a newbie here, you people should know I have successfully bugged toy companies to change inaccuracies before.
OCD and all.
Yeah I'm sick and admit it.
I'm right too though.

I would have much preferred his black attire, to match the robe. Or even his red attire (I think he sometimes wore the black robe with the red attire). But regardless, this is an awesome figure - and hopefully the first of many Flair's to come. Can MDT at least tell us whether it will be released in the near future or if it will never be released now that the cats out of the bag? At least tell us something.... They could tell us. But then they'd have to kill us.  |

I dont mind the robe as I plan on using the Jakks ones anyways but I LOVE the attire choice. It represents so many big matches in his career. Yeah I'm sick and admit it. I'm right too though. Sometimes, Mattel has a plan in cases like this.... They probably can't afford to put a robe like this in the regular Elite line.... And they often make attires to go with actual "matches" - since they already made a WrestleMania 8 Macho Man, I'll bet at some point they'll make a Ric Flair with red attire, maybe in the standard Elite line (where they can't afford to make a robe). Then, you can just switch the robe to that Flair..... he DID wear this robe with the red tights several times.... I think.... That'll work for me.... or maybe they'll do a Flair with black tights, that would be perfect.... |
