The Main Event!
Steel Cage Match!
Trace Demon vs. Solomon
It’s the first main event of the WFWF’s new era, and it’s a big one. At Superbrawl Trace Demon lost the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship to Solomon, and while fans will remember that moment for some time to come there’s one other moment they won’t soon forget, that of Trace Demon and Solomon plunging from the top of Hell in a Cell and crashing through the announce table below. There is still no word on whether either man is actually medically cleared to compete but both have demanded this match, blaming the other for the fact that they’re not the WFWF World Heavyweight Champion right now, and Lila Sleater, not wanting to anger two psychotic and war-mongering men any more than they already are, has granted them their wish… on one condition. In order to avoid Trace Demon and Solomon taking things any further than the ring they will be enclosed within a fifteen foot steel cage. And while those four walls may protect the outside world the two men inside will get to do whatever their twisted minds can think up, and if we know anything about Trace Demon and Solomon it’s that their twisted minds can think up a whole lot.
Shawn Malakai, WFWF World Heavyweight Champion!
He did it. He finally did it. Shawn Malakai completed a nearly decade long journey in the WFWF, finally attaining what so many have dreamed of their entire lives. Shawn Malakai won the WFWF Championship, in the main event of the biggest show in WFWF history, SuperBrawl, knocking off the seemingly undefeatable Trace Demon and overcoming the odds of three other people in the match trying their best to ensure he did not come out on top inside of that Hell in a Cell. Post match, Malakai was celebrating in the ring with former number one contender Ace Bennett when the Kid from ‘Cuse backstabbed his friend, attacking Malakai and demanding his WFWF Championship match be reinstated. Jason Anders came out, and agreed. The onslaught from Bennett was brutal, Malakai was outmatched in every way. Had it not been for Dex and Jayson Garrett coming out to save his skin, Ace Bennett would be WFWF Champion, and Shawn Malakai would not be here making this upcoming speech. In it he has said he will address Trace Demon, Thunder, the WFWF Championship, Ace Bennett and his affiliation with Dex, WFWF Tag Team Champion Jayson Garrett, and anyone else. This is about as big of a ‘don’t miss’ as the WFWF can have. Tune in.
Six Man Tag Team Match
Dex, Chase Landon & Jayson Garrett vs. Josh Dean, Slanted & Enchanted
SuperBrawl is the be all end all of the WFWF. The showcase of the immortals. So to make a great first impression at your first SuperBrawl…that’s important. One side of this match was fabulous looking, but were not able to come out on top. Slanted and Enchanted, unable to pull out a win in the WFWF Tag Team Championship match, still looked fabulous in their SB debut. Josh Dean, returning from a seven year hiatus, looked amazing in his SuperBrawl debut against David Brennan, but the former Epoch member just turned out to be too much for JD. On the other side of the ring, we have three of the biggest success stories from SuperBrawl. Chase Landon and Jayson Garrett, WFWF’s fairly oddcouple did the unthinkable…they WON the WFWF Tag Team Championships in a grueling TLC match. Dex, showing off his pride in himself, not only took off his mask despite winning his match, he took the mask form WFWF’s greatest legend, ZMaster, in what was his retirement match. It didn’t stop there for Dex and Jayson Garrett though, as they not only won their respective matches…they helped WFWF Champion Shawn Malakai in his gravest hour of need, fending off the onslaught and carnage being dealt by Ace Bennett. So we know the deal with Dex and Garrett, anyone else? So many questions.
Meet the Midget’s Monster!
Tugarin Zmey vs. Kyle Matthews
For those who don’t know who DMK is here’s the short version, he’s a mid… ‘height challenged’ man who has had a lengthy friendship with former New Epoch member, and WFWF hall of famer, Michael Kyzer. What he isn’t known for is running without Kyzer in the WFWF, but that’s exactly what is going to happen come WFWF Reborn. DMK has brought a man far more imposing than anyone else with him, the 7’1, 415lbs Dragon known as Tugarin Zmey. Little is known of Tugarin but what we do know is that he’s a monster and he’s probably going to deal a whole lot of pain in the WFWF unfortunately for his opponents. That first opponent is none other than Kyle Matthews who, despite coming up on the short end of a WFWF Tag Team Championship match at Superbrawl, made quite the impression. He’ll be hoping to do the same again at Reborn, just with a bit more victory and a little less loss, but can he really slay the Dragon in his first appearance?
The Author and the Devil
Basil McLeod vs. Devilkiller
In the second main show debut of the night we’ve got Basil McLeod. Heard of him? Well that’s because he’s an internationally famous author who has decided to become a professional wrestler. Now while there may be some who think that McLeod just got the job, and the chance to be hot-shotted onto the main show, because of name value alone, none of that matters because once you step inside a WFWF ring your name means nothing. Which is probably a good thing when your name is Devilkiller. Regardless of his name at Superbrawl Devilkiller proved himself to be one to watch in the forthcoming year as he overcame Tommy Staxx and claimed his Superbrawl moment. Now with the momentum from that moment under his belt the last thing that Devilkiller is going to want to do is lose to a rookie author without a match under his belt. But is there more up the sleeve of Basic McLeod than we can imagine, or has he just written his own obituary, time will tell.
Singles Action!
Cameron Stone vs. Mak Cross
For one of these men Superbrawl was a night to remember and for the other it was a night to forget. Cameron Stone walked into Superbrawl not only as a commentator but also to battle Penny Shannon and, in a match that was as violent and brutal as it was entertaining, Cameron Stone came out on the winning side of things. Now with his problems with Penny Shannon put to bed (he wishes) he faces a new challenge after he himself requested to compete on this show. That challenge is Mak Cross. Cross, who has long been singled out as having the potential to be a star, failed in his hunt for the WFWF Tag Team Championships at Superbrawl alongside his partner Cam Nitta. Now Cross will get a chance to prove himself without Nitta at his side and will seek to kick this new era of the WFWF off to a new start and prove that all those who called him the next big thing were right, but he’ll have to go through Cameron Stone to do it.
A Bit More Singles Action!!
David Brennan vs. Reo Speedwagon
David Brennan surprised everyone when he made his return some weeks back, but few were surprised with the impressive display he put on at Superbrawl as he overcame Josh Dean in an impressive opener. With his scorn for WFWF owner Trace Demon, and the state of the company as a whole, well known he’ll look to continue his crusade by defeating the newcomer Reo Speedwagon, another competitor with a whole lot of potential… oops, we forgot Brennan doesn’t like that word. Regardless, Speedwagon does indeed have the world of potential, he proved that in victory at Superbrawl, and in turn being possibly the first man able to say his debut came with a victory at the biggest show of the WFWF calendar. Now he has to keep proving himself and there’s few better to do that against than David Brennan, the man who can still claim to have a rightful shot at the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship in his back pocket. Will he get it? Who knows, but will he enter WFWF Reborn looking to achieve victory? You can bet your house on it.
Anything Goes
Phillip Schneider vs. Mason Dixon
While trawling the WFWF.COM message board recently Lila Sleater saw a request by a member named Prophet of Ash who thought that putting Mason Dixon inside the ring with Phillip Schneider was a good idea. Nobody else agreed, because people don’t like watching real life murder, but apparently Lila thought it would be a good challenge for Mason Dixon. But seriously, he’s going to get murdered. Phillip Schneider is coming off of what may have been his last opportunity to become a Grand Slam champion after losing to Drakz at Superbrawl, that’s only going to add to the already fragile sanity that Schneider possesses. Mason Dixon also failed at Superbrawl, though many have claimed that it almost looked like he didn’t even bother to show up at all with his performance. Can he manage a huge upset to prove his doubters wrong? Probably not, but it’ll be interesting to watch.
