Why was Jakks able to put out so many amazing rings and Mattel can't? The WM2 ring with the blue steel cage is my most favorite Christmas present ever. The first elimination chamber and the RAW real scale ring were perfect too. I wish I still had them, but the process of growing up and moving nearly wiped me out and I just started building up again a couple years ago. Too bad those rings cost to much money now, they were great. I never saw an ESR before but if it the same size as the Jakks real scale rings, how is that too big? It's perfect! ESR was bigger than the RSR

Mattel is full of crap. They claim the ESR has too high of a price point and that's why it didn't sell? But the Entrance Stage is $50, the backstage playset is $50, the MITB playset is $64!
The reason Mattel stopped making the ESR is because the amount of cloth in it was too expensive for them to PRODUCE. They are still making playsets around and beyond the price of the ESR, but they are pieces of crap made out of cheap plastic, paper and cardboard.

My only thoughts, are why Mattel would make a $65-$75 MitB Playset, when they say retailers don't like high price point objects.

A ring like the HITC Jakks ring with the blue mat would be ideal. No spring and a decent size.

I think a 14 x 14 inch plastic ring just would make a huge difference. It wouldn't be much bigger than the 12 x 12 inch ring they are making now. They could still use the same posts and ropes that they use now so they wouldn't need a new mold for that. Just the actual ring base is all they would need to make. It would make a world of difference. For a refrence, it would be something close to the Jakks hardcore style basic ring from the BCA/ttl days. Still probably my favorite ring.
