I never even realized the obvious resemblance with John being Juan Cena and Hogan being Mr. America. I think WWE did that intentionally.

Mattel said a while back that since "Juan" never officially appeared on WWE Television, they can't do him.

Yea, it was just their way of saying that a Juan Cena figure will never see the light of day because it was a pointless character. But they couldn't just answer with a flat out "no that's a dumb idea" and had to say something that people wouldn't get mad over.

If we can't get a freaking REFEREE figure, then no, we're not EVER getting "Juan Cena". There is a referee involved in EVERY SINGLE WRESTLING MATCH and Mattel won't make one....so something that never appeared on TV has no chance.

Not that I think there is a big market for a Juan Cena figure... but this f'n company looks for any excuse to not put something different out.
