Theres a couple things in my life that I really need to finish off and complete my goals, it's mostly about the loss of some old friends that I really have trouble with and this is effecting my interest in figures, those certain people have not passed or anything it's just that feeling that the people you care for the most you think you will never be able to see them again, or be the friends you used to be, i havent seen them not even 2 years, but it feels like a million years, and this problem is effecting my interest, I've just gotten to the point where I find no use for figures, I'm sure if I do see my best friends again I will probably want to get back in collecting, but I'm just asking for some advice, have you guys ever felt this way? And should I keep collecting and keep thinking I'll see my best people again? Please let me know I just wanted to share this

You should take a break and then think for a while about whether you want to keep collecting. You can catch up later, ya you will pay a few more bucks for some but oh well. And think long and hard before selling your collection, it will be mighty hard and alot more money to put it back to together if you change your mind. Have I felt this way? Not so far with the Mattel line but if a dont see alot of Flashbacks or Basic Legends coming out in 2014 I could see myself scaling back and just buying a couple here and there. And more price increases in the Elite line could make me scale back some as well.

Don't make any rash decisions based solely on emotion. Let thing settle and re-evaluate at a later time. Interests hit peaks and valleys and you want to make a decision from a solid point with a clear head.

I've nearly gave up on collecting a few times this year, when I feel like this I just buy another figure and then I feel better  |

yea id take a break also. ive done it before, only to find myself collecting again , after the "why do i collect figures" wears off.
