I remember being excited for the first Brotus Clay elite! Just before the the figure came out, Brotus was on a losing streak. Now Antonio Cesaro is coming out and he's been a joke. Tensai is now Sweet Tea. I just hate how long it takes to get a first time elite of a new superstar and they been chopped down by WWE before they hit retail. I also can't understand why Kane is in E22 when he was in E19. I know it is a fix up, but how important was it to the fans?!?! This fan would rather have the slot open to another superstar. When will Mattel make a authentic Street Fight Vince McMahon Elite?!?! It's redic that this does have a time line answer! Us attitude era guys need one badly!!! While we are on Flashback Elites. I see the rotation going on with the old generation, new generation, attitude, WCW/NWO..... But I think it's time to add in ECW Flashbacks! I don't care who's first or which ECW championship belt we get.... I just want to get the ball rollin! I like that Battle Packs come with weapons/accessories, but that doesn't mean the each elite can't come this a weapon!! I LOVE that we get the cooler belts, attire and gear, but would like a trash can, chair, ring bell, SOMETHING!!! I would love more wooden pallets, but have NO desire buy that BP!! I REALLY want a Flashback Lita to recreat Edge and Matt Hardy feud.... Guess I can settle for a Y2J, Trish, Cristian love triangle.... We might need a Tomko custom!! Haha Would anyone else buy more Elites if more sets came out per a year? I would be broke all the time!! How stupid is it that Mattel has infinite number of standard rings??? The only thing difference, are the stickers!!!!! These rings were made to break easily. SPRING LOADED?!?!? More like junk!! Mattel! Call Jakks! Ask them to show you these attitude or hardcore rings. Then ask them about the ring gear accessories! I don't care how long you want to wait to revisit Elite scale rings. You arein your 3rd year!! We are ready for some "new" innovations to the standard rings!!! I was never on board with rumblers, power slammer, brawling buddies, these dollar general figures, and rumbler rampage. But, I do understand the appeal ! I'm just wondering how many times can Mattel do this! I mean, we killed off the flex force, the legends, the entrance greats, and defining moments on favor of what we have now!?!? I'm glad that flex force is gone Ever think Mattel would have more fun working on a wrestling brand that wasn't TV PG?!?! Prolly not, lol! Sometimes I feel like an impatient child, haha!

I doubt it! People still want him and he is more desirable since they are packing a shinny US championship. But, I wouldn't be surprised if you find him with the belt stolen from the package.

Your comparison of jakks hardcore ring to mattel is silly. Jakks them selves abandoned them to go with spring rings which those are far more inferior to mattel basic rings due to how easy the ring posts bend.
Cant really say im on board with much of what you're saying. Sorry man.

Its easy why they dont do those things. They are running a huge business globally, and they run into variables that make up their decisions like Mattel budget, contractual obligations, WWE input, Store demand, mass public demand. While most collectors want those things you listed, we make up a small percentage of who buys up these figures. Mattel is doing this because they are in the business of making Mattel and WWE millions. They have things planned out quite well in terms of a solid business model. Include belts with less popular figures, include accessories with the less popular battle packs so people will want to buy them all, and boosts revenue up to make a huge profit.

I might buy more if there were more Elite series per year, but only if the figs were good. I only usually buy one or two per series as it is, though there are exceptions. E24 I am only buying Cesaro and E22 I am buying pretty much all. Beyond that I am really not on board with anything else. I didn't like the Attitude Era and always pass on those Flashbacks, I have my elite ring and no updates or anything else short of some exclusive Elite that came with it would get me to buy a smaller one; and even in that case I would probably try to trade for the exclusive or buy it online if it was one that I cared about. I liked ECW, but I definitely wouldn't buy any Flashbacks. I still see the Dreamer/Christian 2 pack shelfwarming. I am glad that Flexforce was killed off, but unfortunately nobody bought DMs and EGs, including myself because of the high price. I hate that Legends are gone, but at least we get FB's. I actually agree with you on weapons with elites however. I really would have loved to get that stretcher with E15 Henry, but had no desire for either Trent or the Henry that came in the 2 pack. I actually would have loved the pallet too, but I guess I understand why there are including feud-specific weapons with BPs.

Elite street fight Mcmahon with tanktop is the top of my most wanted flashbacks. The 2 pack will only hold me over for so long (if I can even find it) I also agree about the rings. Those basic spring ones are complete trash. Im yet to see them not on clearnce. I still to this day use my jakks hardcore ring because of how bad these new basic ones are. Is it too much to ask for a decent wrestling ring for a reasonable price?

Not my favorite period in wrestling. There were a few guys I liked in the AE, but I was a WCW fan during the Attitude Era. I think it was around WM 9 I stopped watching the WWF on a regular basis. And from then until Vince bought out WCW I would only flip on to WWE and watch if Bret, HHH, Austin, Taker, Angle, Foley were on. Once their match was over I'd turn back to WCW. And with the exception of Bret even if the above mentioned were on RAW at the moment if Sting, Steiner's, Flair, Jericho or Benoit were in a match at the same time I'd watch the WCW matches.

I also was not a fan of the attitude era. I was a WCW guy during that period. I would watch the WWF during the golden era and the new generation era, then stopped at the attitude era. WCW just had great matches and story lines and cruiser weights and an amazing roster! I miss WCW to this day!

I got lucky in so-cal. TNT would show WCW Nitro at 5pm and USA would show WWF Raw at 8pm..... Man I loved Monday nights!! I think most of the guys here are older than me. I know your a classics collector.... Pretty sure your childhood memories of wrestling started in the 80's. I remember the 80's superstars, but I childhood memories of wrestling love started at WrestleMania 12! So for me, mid 90's to the early 2000's is my sweet spot for flashbacks.... That's not to say that I don't love 80's Mattel flashbacks as I have select few stars that I collect out of that era. If I had to choose, it's WWE over WCW. However, I'm do get excited when I see WCW/NWO themed wrestlers on the Elite line-up

The first match I can remember watching was in the 70's it was the Executioners (Kowalski & Studd) vs Chief Jay Strongbow & Billy White Wolf.

My point is jakks stopped supporting it in favor of spring rings. All the hardcore ring had was ring aprons. To use the rsr like ring posts, they stuck out awkwardly from ring. But again, if it was so awesome, jakks would have stuck with it. But they went to the cheaper, and more cost effective spring rings and not the "gas guzzlers" that a small % of buyers cre about.

Oh no! They stopped all that and went to spring rings because after us buyers bought one, there was no need to purchase another ring again. Lol, they stopped support and made crappy sping rings that break easily so parents could "gas guzzle" there money to buy new spring rings.

I agree that we didn't really need another Kane so soon (Elite 22) - especially as he looks so similar to the last one... Mattel has said that "Kane sells" though, so I can understand it.
At the moment, I buy all the Elite figures - if they were released more regularly, I think I would probably not buy the "regulars" like Big Show, Rey, Sheamus etc. and just stick with the Flashbacks and new figures. Unless Mattel made a separate Flashback series (and started putting tag-teams and lower-card guys in the regular series)... then I'd probably buy every Elite going, lol.
