WWF: In Your House I will try to catch up from here to the best of my abilities. 1-2-3 Kid going over Jannetty in the dark match is the obvious call, let's move onto the main card here. Decent opening contest with Razor defending the Intercontinental Championship over Sid. I'm glad Razor went over tonight, but I don't see his title run lasting too long here. Razor kicking out of the Chokeslam was a nice spot. Nothing too special about the impromptu match between Ahmed Johnson and Dean Douglas. Obvious win for Johnson, and to add insult to injury we see Douglas is wearing pink boxers. This was not a good year for the Dead, huh? Not looking forward to Jarrett being fed to Johnson some point down the line, which seems imminent. Hmm, wonder what the note was that Razor got. Hunter going over Henry O. Godwinn was the right call, I enjoyed the contrast of gimmicks for this match. I'm just glad this wasn't a Hog Pen match. I can accept the DQ finished for Diesel and Owen's match because I don't think either man can afford a pay-per-view loss at the moment. Enjoyed Diesel standing tall after the brawl and taking Owen out with two Jackknifes. I hope this feud continues for a little longer. Ah, Undertaker slays another monster. I actually love that kind of stuff, probably because Undertaker is my favorite of all time. And now 'Taker and Bearer have finally been reunited with the urn, ending this story. I wonder how you will approach 'Taker for the WrestleMania season, and if he'll take on Diesel. I can actually see Diesel going over 'Taker here. Goldust dressing as Santa is great, actually. Main event time, this should be a fantastic match. Easily the match of the night, Bret retaining the title here was fine. Pretty standard show for 1995, I hope to see you branch off from reality a little more come the Royal Rumble, but you really can't expect much more from the first pay-per-view on the diary. Liked the inclusion of the dark matches after the main event, as those were common back then. Of course you already know that. Anyway, decent pair of wins for Savio and Goldust. I'll catch up to the last actual episodes of RAW and Superstars in my next reply.

WWF Monday Night RAW - January 1, 1996 Don Carpenter Center - Newark, DE
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A video package aired to kick off Monday Night RAW tonight, as Vince McMahon talked about 1996 being a glorious year for the World Wrestling Federation, providing superstars plenty of opportunities to break through the glass ceiling and step up...and how it all starts tonight with the first-ever RAW Bowl! McMahon talked about how tonight, we will see four of the World Wrestling Federation's hottest teams collide in a big four-corner elimination tag team match, with the winners being crowned as the first winners of the RAW Bowl trophy! The opening video package of WWF Monday Night RAW aired, before cutting to the Don Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware, as pyrotechnics were going off! We went to Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler on commentary, as they welcomed us to the first edition of Monday Night RAW in the year 1996, talking about how tonight we will see the Smoking Gunns, Razor Ramon and Savio Vega, Sean Waltman and "Sycho" Sid, Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas all square off in the RAW Bowl of 1996; plus, the WWF Champion, Bret Hart is here to take on Hunter Hearst Helmsley; not only that, but more announcements for the 1996 Royal Rumble match; and also, Gorilla Monsoon will reveal the next number one contender to the "Hitman"'s WWF Championship!
| 00:03 | 2 | The RAW Bowl - Four-Team Elimination match - WWF Tag Team Champions The Smoking Gunns vs Sean Waltman and "Sycho" Sid (w/Ted Dibiase) vs WWF Intercontinental Champion "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty vs "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas [+00:02 for entrances] This was a busy match, as the whole encounter went through two commercial breaks, as the Smoking Gunns seemed to be in the advantage during the early goings of this match, having the number of both Sean Waltman and "Sycho" Sid of the Million-Dollar Corporation, as Jerry "The King" Lawler insisted that Ted Dibiase wanted to bring the RAW Bowl trophy home to the Million-Dollar Corporation, because nobody else in the World Wrestling Federation could afford its' prestige. Soon, the isolated Bart Gunn managed to make the hot tag to Razor Ramon, who attacked everyone in sight, including setting his eye on the man that attacked him two weeks ago on RAW, Sean Waltman! Ramon chased Waltman out of the ring, but when he turned around, he ran right into the 6'9 Sid, who delivered a big Powerbomb to the WWF Intercontinental Champion, effectively eliminating Ramon and Jannetty! Up next, Sean Waltman and Sid decided to team up with "Double J" and Dean Douglas, once again going after Bart Gunn, however Billy soon managed to get the tag, trying to go for another hot tag occurrence, just for Jarrett to outsmart Billy, who caught him off-guard with the shinbreaker! Jarrett then went after the knee of Billy, as the Million-Dollar Corporation teaming up with Jeff Jarrett and his roadie, Dean Douglas once again graced its' face, going after both members of the WWF Tag Team Champions in this match. Soonafter, Billy Gunn was down, as Sean Waltman was in there as well, ready to attack from the top rope - when suddenly, Razor Ramon appeared whilst Ted Dibiase was on the apron! The WWF Intercontinental Champion then proceeded to knock his former best friend Waltman down from the top! Billy then covered, as "Sycho" Sid and Sean Waltman were now eliminated! It was down to Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas, and the WWF Tag Team Champions, the Smoking Gunns, as Jeff Jarrett wanted to capitalize on the damage done to the knee of Billy Gunn, setting up for the Figure-Four Leglock, just for Billy to fight out, and get the tag to Bart! Bart then rushed the ring, taking down Douglas and Jarrett repeatedly, as Billy soon helped out, nailing Douglas with a double dropkick! The Gunns were ready to strike further, but Jarrett nailed Billy with a big chopblock, sending Billy down which led to Jarrett locking in the Figure-Four Leglock whilst Bart took care of Dean at ringside - and Billy had no choice but to tap out! "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas def. WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty; Sean Waltman and "Sycho" Sid; and WWF Tag Team Champions The Smoking Gunns [21:14 - exceeded 2 commercial breaks] **3/4
The crowd booed, as Bart Gunn looked on from outside before slipping into the ring to aid his brother Billy Gunn, as Jeff Jarrett quickly rolled out of the ring! Jarrett, the country music artist was about to add another accomplishment to his list, as Jarrett hugged it out with his roadie, Dean Douglas, and in celebration, Jarrett and Douglas were the winners of the first-ever RAW Bowl trophy, as they collected it from ringside and celebrated with it - but also, this victory against the Smoking Gunns could have very well put them in the WWF Tag Team Championship hunt for sure, a pinfall victory over the Smoking Gunns! | 00:27 | - | Commercial Break | 00:31 | 3 | We returned to WWF Monday Night RAW, as we had Dok Hendrix standing by with Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas, who both seemed exhausted after their big victory, both standing either side of the RAW Bowl trophy - as Hendrix asked Jarrett and Douglas how happy they were right now. "Double J" talked about how great they truly were, having gotten a victory against the WWF Tag Team Champions, those two rednecks from Texas! Jarrett talked about how glad he was that he was from Tennessee, and that Douglas came from Pittsburgh, because both of them would make for both a much more intelligent duo - and a much more entertaining duo than those two snore-ful cowboys! Douglas talked about how he's brought Jarrett to gold record status with "With My Baby Tonight", how they are both former WWF Intercontinental Champions, and how they want to challenge the Smoking Gunns for the WWF Tag Team Championships at the Royal Rumble!
| 00:33 | 4 | The Royal Rumble report aired, as Dok Hendrix was shown standing in front of various television monitors in the WWF media suite, each monitor presenting action from the World Wrestling Federation superstars. Hendrix talked about how the Royal Rumble was coming up in three short weeks, talking about how it's crept up on everyone in the WWF, but how tonight he is happy to announce five more participants into the Royal Rumble match - because joining Razor Ramon, the British Bulldog and the man they call Vader in the Rumble will be Fatu, Ahmed Johnson, "The King of Harts" Owen Hart and "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin! Hendrix then talked about how Austin had some comments to make about the upcoming Rumble match, in what will be his first appearance on pay-per-view - and in this type of match up. Austin was then shown standing with the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, as Austin began to rant about how for weeks he hasn't said too much - everyone thinks that he is a deaf mute, and that makes him an underdog. But that's insulting. Austin talks about how the Rumble is built up to have this big "prestige" factor about it, but really it's just a battlefield for the "Ringmaster" to dominate! Austin talked about how he'll throw 29 other morons over the top rope and make history by becoming the winner of this pathetic little game that they call the Rumble! Hendrix then mentioned how Austin seemed confident, then going on to talk about how we'd also see the WWF Women's Championship on the line, as Alundra Blayze defends the title against All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling star, the menacing, 220-pound Aja Kong! Plus, the WWF Championship will be defended, and a lot more to be announced before the Rumble, live on pay-per-view on January 21st!
| 00:35 | 5 | "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson def. Spider #1 (w/Spider #2) [01:48] [+00:01 for Johnson's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The "Pearl River Powerhouse" was in action in this match, as he went up against one of the fearsome Arachnoids, Spider #1 in this encounter. Johnson managed to make short work of Spider #1, as he at one point even gorilla pressed Spider #1 over the top rope onto Spider #2 at ringside! Ahmed then managed to dismantle the spiders' attempts at switching places by sending Spider #2 over the top rope - before finally putting away the real Arachnoid in action with the Pearl River Plunge.
The crowd cheered, as Ahmed Johnson celebrated his victory tonight against practically both of the Arachnoids, as the "Pearl River Powerhouse" once more appeared as one of the top rising stars in the World Wrestling Federation. Suddenly however, someone was shown in the backstage area, rocking in a chair...Waylon Mercy! Mercy had a grin on his face as he watched a monitor with Johnson celebrating on it on, as Mercy chuckled, talking about how he sure loves watching him some Ahmed Johnson, because he's the man to beat first to make people realize how much of an unstoppable force Waylon Mercy is here in the World Wrestling Federation! Mercy had returned to the WWF, setting his sights on Ahmed Johnson! | 00:38 | 6 | Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler discussed the first Monday Night RAW of 1996, and talking about how it wasn't even over yet, as Bret "Hitman" Hart is still scheduled for action, as the WWF Champion takes on Hunter Hearst Helmsley in non-title action - but also, after the match we will hear from WWF President, Gorilla Monsoon on whom the next number one contender to the WWF Championship shall be! Will "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel finally get the rematch from the Survivor Series? Stay tuned!
| 00:39 | - | Commercial Break | 00:43 | 7 | Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcomed us back to WWF Monday Night RAW, as they announced huge news for next week's edition of RAW, as two weeks prior to the 1996 Royal Rumble, we will see footage from a press conference taking place on Monday night, on the future of Shawn Michaels' condition, and whether he'll be fit to step in the ring again at the Royal Rumble in the Rumble match! Also, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel will have a big opponent by the likes of Yokozuna, the man that got Owen Hart disqualified in his match against Diesel at In Your House! Also, Owen Hart, the Bodydonnas, Alundra Blayze and plenty more will be in attendance for the second edition of RAW in the year 1996!
| 00:44 | 8 | WWF Champion Bret "Hitman" Hart def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley [08:41 - exceeded 1 commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances] The "Hitman" was in action tonight on Monday Night RAW for the first time since In Your House, where Bret Hart managed to get the victory wisely against his brother-in-law, the British Bulldog, to make his first successful defense of the WWF Championship gold. Bret had a different opponent tonight, however, by the likes of Hunter Hearst Helmsley, as Helmsley tried to put up a fight against the "Hitman", just for the great technician to prevail with more offense. Helmsley soon managed to get in some cheap shots, however, which led to the downfall of Bret Hart, as Helmsley went to work on this still rehabbed ribs of Bret, stomping away at them and once again trying to finish the job that both Yokozuna and the British Bulldog started in the past month. Bret soon managed to find his way out of an abdominal stretch, as Diesel was shown watching on intently from the backstage area. Helmsley then wound up being nailed with the Russian legsweep, followed up with the backbreaker and the diving elbow drop! Bret was ready for the Sharpshooter, as Helmsley tried to reverse it and go for a quick Pedigree - however Bret managed to get away from it, slipping Helmsley up and locking in the Sharpshooter, and the World Wrestling Federation Champion was victorious! | 00:54 | 9 | The crowd cheered loudly as the "Hitman" celebrated, the WWF Champion having his hand raised by Earl Hebner! Hart was given his World Wrestling Federation Championship belt, as the WWF President, Gorilla Monsoon then made his way out to the ring, Monsoon ready to make a final decision on whom the next number one contender to Bret's WWF Championship would be on January 21, at the Royal Rumble. Monsoon had a microphone, but as he was about to speak, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel made his way out to the ring, ready to stare down Bret! Monsoon then stated that maybe Diesel didn't get the memo or something, or simply is overenthusiastic to meet the "Hitman" again...but he wasn't going to be the next number one contender - instead, the next number one contender is none other than the Undertaker! The crowd cheered, as Diesel showed off frustration, as Bret accepted his fate, leaving the ring to prepare for this next big match: meanwhile, Diesel began flipping out in the ring, as Monday Night RAW went off the air!

WWF Superstars - January 6, 1996 Stabler Arena - Bethlehem, PA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A replay from WWF Monday Night RAW aired to start off the show, as it recapped the WWF Champion Bret Hart being in action, as the "Hitman" was victorious against Hunter Hearst Helmsley. However, what came up next was shocking, as "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel interrupted President Gorilla Monsoon, expecting to be named the next number one contender to the WWF Championship - however, Monsoon then went on to reveal that Bret would defend the WWF Championship at the Royal Rumble against...the Undertaker! The opening video package for WWF Superstars aired, as Vince McMahon and Jim Ross welcomed us to the show, as the theme of Bob Backlund hit, and out came the veteran for color commentary duty tonight on Superstars, as McMahon and Ross talked about Duke Droese, Diesel and Steve Austin all being set for competition tonight, as in our main event we see Skip go one-on-one with former Bodydonnas partner, Rad Radford!
| 00:03 | 2 | Hakushi (w/Barry Horowitz) def. The Brooklyn Brawler [04:43] [+00:01 for Hakushi's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] This was a competitive way to kick things off on the first edition of WWF Superstars in 1996, as Hakushi wanted to regain some momentum after being on the losing end of several encounters with the mysterious, masked Avatar - someone whom we don't know too much about - but Bob Backlund stated that he liked that about Avatar. Jim Ross said that he hoped to get some comments from Avatar in the near future. Meanwhile, Hakushi and the Brooklyn Brawler traded offense, before Hakushi managed to get the win with the standing moonsault for the victory. In an insert promo, however, we saw "Big Daddy Cool" arrive here at the Stabler Arena for tonight's edition of Superstars, as he was confronted by a member of staff - whom Diesel simply shoved down! Diesel was not so "Big Daddy Cool" tonight!
Hakushi celebrated his win to cheers, as the Japanese martial-artist was victorious in the first match on Superstars in 1996. Meanwhile though, Avatar suddenly struck at ringside, taking out Barry Horowitz by nailing him with a set of nun-chucks! Hakushi dashed outside to his friend Horowitz' aid, as Avatar disappeared through the crowd, forever dressed in black! | 00:10 | - | Commercial Break | 00:14 | 3 | We returned to WWF Superstars, where Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Bob Backlund began to discuss Christmas and the holiday season, before moving on to talk about In Your House, and how Backlund teamed up with Goldust to get one over on a recent rival of Backlund's, Savio Vega. McMahon talked about how this is the first time in over a month that they've been able to get a word with Backlund, due to his bizarre and angry nature - and how he wanted to get some comments from Backlund. Backlund told McMahon that the fact is that he has realised how several superstars in the World Wrestlign Federation disrespect America - including Savio Vega! Backlund talked about how he despises anti-Americans, that he's USA all of the way, and that he's going to be President in 1996! But as for now, he can't wait to get rid of that idiot, Savio Vega, all for the United States!
| 00:15 | 4 | Duke "The Dumpster" Droese def. Spider #2 by disqualification [03:26] [+00:01 for entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] After an appearance this Monday night on RAW from the Arachnoids, Spider #1 and #2, the second Spider was in action tonight - this time without his partner #1, who was flattened by the "Pearl River Powerhouse". Droese made short work of Spider #2, as he finally managed to put him down with the Trash Compactor! Droese was ready to put Spider #2 away, but suddenly the "Bizarre One" Goldust came out of nowhere, rushing the ring, and knocking Droese down and out with a golden trash can!
The crowd booed, as the referee Tim White called for the bell. Duke Droese was down and out, as the garbage man had just ironically been laid out in an insulting act by the "Bizarre One" from Hollywood, Goldust! Goldust then decided that knocking the "Dumpster" out wasn't enough, dropping down onto all fours and covering Duke, laying on top of him and stroking the hairs on his chest! Goldust perversely seemed intrigued by the masculinity of Droese! Bob Backlund talked about how Goldust may be a kooky cat, but he's a great accomplice. | 00:20 | 5 |
The Royal Rumble report aired, as Dok Hendrix was shown standing in front of various television monitors in the WWF media suite, each monitor presenting action from the World Wrestling Federation superstars. Hendrix talked about how the Royal Rumble was coming up in three short weeks, talking about how it's crept up on everyone in the WWF. He talked about the previously announced entrants into this year's Rumble consisting of Razor Ramon, the British Bulldog, the man they call Vader, Fatu, Ahmed Johnson, Owen Hart and Steve Austin, before announcing four more announced entrants into the Rumble, consisting of "Sycho" Sid, Savio Vega, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and none other than the returning Native-American, Tatanka! Hendrix proceeded to discuss the other matches announced for the Rumble, as this past Monday, it was announced that Bret "Hitman" Hart would make his next defense of the WWF Championship against none other than the Undertaker! Additionally, Alundra Blayze would take on her biggest opponent to date, Aja Kong for the WWF Women's Championship. But also, Sean Waltman made a challenge to Razor Ramon a few weeks ago, challenging him to a match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship! Hendrix then took us to the "Bad Guy", who had some comments for Waltman. Ramon talked about how Waltman was once his enemy, referring to how Sean got one over on Razor back on an episode of RAW in 1993, spawning a rivalry between the two - but then, Ramon sweetened up to Sean, and he took him under his wing as his best friend - he trusted him! And then money, obsession and greed got in the way of the Kid. Ramon talked about how Waltman wanted to put up or shut up, and how Razor wasn't afraid to shut his former friend up - accepting his rival's challenge, inviting Waltman to face him at the Royal Rumble on January 21st for the WWF Intercontinental title! Hendrix talked about how the Royal Rumble was live on pay-per-view on January 21st, before signing off. | 00:23 | - | Commercial Break | 00:27 | 6 | The theme of "Big Daddy Cool" hit, as Diesel then proceeded to make his way out to the ring to cheers, as Diesel once again did not have a happy expression on his face. More of a frown, "Big Daddy Cool" snatched a microphone from Albert DeFrusia, the ring announcer, as Diesel shouted about how he should be the number one contender to the WWF Championship - not the Undertaker! Diesel talked about how he deserved his rematch - how he's worked his ass off since losing the World Wrestling Federation Championship at the Survivor Series. But how apparently that's irrelevant, because management would rather see the Undertaker face Bret Hart! Diesel then left the ring and announced the announce table, asking Vince McMahon what was wrong with "Big Daddy Cool" - Vince acting like he knew nothing. Diesel told the fans that they wanted to see a man that has zero personality, against a man that has led this company for the last year! Diesel muttered, reminding himself why he decided to turn his back on the fans.
| 00:31 | 7 | "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel def. Brian Walsh by referee stoppage [01:13] [+00:01 for aftermath] This match did not last long at all, as "Big Daddy Cool" simply dismantled Brian Walsh within about a minute of attempted battle from Walsh. Diesel tossed Walsh to the outside and sent Walsh into the announce table, then mouthing off at Vince McMahon about how he apparently wasn't good enough for his precious World Wrestling Federation - before telling him that he'd show him! Diesel proceeded to drop Walsh right through the announce table with a big Jackknife Powerbomb! The crowd booed, as Diesel returned to the ring, picking up a victory by stoppage.
The crowd began to boo "Big Daddy Cool" more, as Diesel was not a happy man, then grabbing referee Jimmy Korderas by the hair and throwing him halfway across the ring! Diesel was on a mean streak, as he began to leave - when suddenly President Gorilla Monsoon appeared, seemingly having some sort of argument with Diesel! Diesel shrugged it off and left, as Monsoon was left confused about the whole ordeal. | 00:33 | 8 | Vince McMahon was shown left looking speechless after the tirade by "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel just moments ago. McMahon was asked by Jim Ross how he was feeling, as McMahon talked about Diesel's unprofessional nature here, having destroyed their announce table, and therefore in his pursuit of the World Wrestling Federation Championship, he may have very well jeopardized his entire future in the WWF! At that point, Gorilla Monsoon approached the announce table, borrowing Jim Ross' headset to announce that this Monday on RAW, we'd be seeing a face to face confrontation between "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel - and himself, President Gorilla Monsoon about his future with the WWF! He talked about his unprofessional nature tonight, and how he would not condone behavior such as this ever again!
| 00:34 | 9 | Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) def. Marty Garner [03:23] [+00:01 for Austin's entrance] "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin was in action for the second time since his debut several weeks ago on Monday Night RAW. Austin, much like before, kicked into Marty Garner with little respect for poor Garner, as the "Million Dollar Man" cheered his client on, Austin seemingly being molded into being the centerpiece of the Million Dollar Corporation. Austin hung Garner up over the top rope with the Stun Gun, before stomping into him in the corner, almost getting himself disqualified. Austin seemed to talk a lot of trash as well, before finally putting Garner away with the Million Dollar Dream! Meanwhile, in an insert promo, Steve Austin was shown with the "Million Dollar Man", as Dibiase cackled, telling the viewers that Austin had words for those also in the Royal Rumble match, calling everybody in that match a moron and telling them how he was going to make the biggest splash - in his first Royal Rumble appearance - and how he would be victorious, and how that's the bottom line.
The crowd booed as the "Ringmaster" continued his winning streak, and Ted Dibiase was the first man to rush into the ring and shake hands with his client, and raise Steve Austin's hand high. Austin then decided to stomp away at Marty Garner some more, until he was no longer in the ring. Austin and Dibiase left to further boos from the Bethlehem crowd.
| 00:37 | 10 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Royal Rumble, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, January 21st, 1996. | 00:38 | - | We cut to a pre-taped promo with James E. Cornette, as he talked about how Camp Cornette has the best raw talent in the World Wrestling Federation, talking about how he was three of the top WWF superstars in the WWF, and how they were all going to be entering the Royal Rumble on January 21st! Cornette talked about how he has the 600-pound destroyer of all, the Japanese sensation, and 1993 Royal Rumble winner, Yokozuna! He discussed how he has the "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, the greatest wrestler to come out of the United Kingdom as a whole - and possibly even the world! Cornette talked about how close he came to winning the WWF Championship from Bret Hart a few weeks ago, and how close he came to becoming the 1995 Royal Rumble winner. Cornette added, talking about the "King of Harts", and how deserving of a WWF Championship shot he truly was - how he beat Bret Hart before, before he won his second WWF Championship - and how he ended the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels' career! But Cornette moved on to talk about his newest addition to Camp Cornette - the man they call Vader! At that moment, a video package aired, showing off this mastodon working out and throwing punches. Vader is coming at the Royal Rumble!
| 00:41 | - | Commercial Break | 00:45 | 11 | We returned to the first edition of WWF Superstars in the year 1996, as Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Bob Backlund talked about how this Monday night on RAW we would see footage from the press conference this upcoming Saturday - about the future of Shawn Michaels' career, and the decision as to whether the "Heartbreak Kid" will be able to compete in the Royal Rumble - let alone ever again! Plus, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel meets WWF President, Gorilla Monsoon face to face in a confrontation concerning Diesel's future in the WWF; And also, Owen Hart will be in action, as the "King of Harts" will be in singles competition against the Puerto-Rican, Savio Vega! Plus more, all live on RAW this Monday, two weeks before the Royal Rumble!
| 00:46 | 12 | Skip (w/Sunny) def. Rad Radford [07:12] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The former Bodydonna, Rad Radford was thrown out of the Bodydonnas just several weeks ago by Skip and Sunny, after falling in defeat against Razor Ramon and Savio Vega on RAW, but tonight, he was out there for revenge against his former partner. The crowd gave Radford some respect, cheering on Radford throughout, but as Radford finally began to develop some momentum against his former teammate, Skip managed to cut him off, or Sunny managed to serve as a distraction, a thorn in the side of Rad. Skip soon got overconfident, as Radford managed to small package Skip several times, but Skip soon regained momentum, applying a sleeper hold. But luckily, Radford fired out and attempted to get back into the match, managing to nail Skip with the cutter! Radford soon went for the death valley driver, but suddenly, another Bodydonna appeared, running down to the ring! This imposter Bodydonna stood in the ring, as Radford looked on in confusion, as Skip proceeded to roll Radford up for a cheap victory!
The crowd booed as Skip rolled out of the ring, leading this Skip lookalike to nail the groggy Rad Radford with a sharp dropkick! The crowd booed, as Skip then joined this man in the ring with Sunny, as it seemed as though the Bodydonnas had found a new member! The three of them stood tall, as WWF Superstars went off the air.

Bret/Taker at the Rumble will be good, and the hinting at a Diesel heel turn will do good things for him. I like the lay out as well.

WWF Monday Night RAW 12/18/95 Seems like a stacked show tonight with the return of HBK and Razor Ramon taking on the British Bulldog. Fine opening contest with the 1-2-3 Kid getting a win over Jannetty, glad to see him drop the 1-2-3 Kid name and become just Sean Waltman now. Avatar going over Holly is fine, good to see an attire change with him. Is a team between Avatar and Hakushi on the horizon? Hmm. Also, it’s really weird calling Al Snow Avatar. Enjoyed the interview with Shawn Michaels and HBK announcing how he wants a spot in the Royal Rumble match. I have no doubt he’ll make it in, but I’m really intrigued to see if you’re going to have him win again to set up his match with Bret at WrestleMania. Liked the involvement from Owen Hart, and the win for him after the segment. Vader! Excited to see Vader making his debut, hopefully you use him well. Lastly, great main event with Razor going over the Bulldog. I don’t think the finish hurt Bulldog in any way, either. Liked Waltman’s attack on Razor to close the show. Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable episode of RAW.
WWF Superstars 12/23/95 Henry O. Godwinn going over Rad Radford at the start of the show is alright, I doubt we’ll be seeing much more of Radford after being fired by Sunny. Glad to see Vader, British Bulldog, and Razor Ramon all confirmed for the Royal Rumble match next week. Obvious victory for Jeff Jarrett over the young Scott Taylor here. Hmm, I assume the Million Dollar Man will be giving Steve Austin the Million Dollar Championship soon. Decent win for Women’s Champion Alundra Blayze, The King being in the Rumble match sounds fun, I imagine he won’t stay around for too long, however. The Christmas vignette was absolutely amazing and I hope that was a real thing, because then I need to see it. RAW Bowl on the first edition of RAW for 1996 sounds cool. Again, obvious win for Diesel here, but I don’t expect much more from Superstars in 1995. I wonder who Goldust has been sending letters to... and whoever it is I don’t envy them. Razor, maybe, I vaguely remember a storyline like that between them. Finally, decent main event with Vega going over by disqualification after an attack from Goldust. The save from Duke Droese was unexpected, but I liked it. I’ll try to catch up with this tomorrow, keep up the good work.

No credit for me? Thankyou for your very constructive criticism. My bad, I knew I forgot to do something. In future, could you possibly PM me if you have a query that doesn't involve replying to a show? Haha, just trying to keep this thread tidy. But yeah, my bad.

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, January 8, 1996
- Currently, plans for WrestleMania continue to differentiate, as there are numerous windows open for what may go down at the biggest show of the WWF calendar year. The main idea at the moment is for Shawn Michaels to rreturn and win the Royal Rumble match and go on to face the WWF Champion in a "Marathon" match, although there are plans for superstars such as Diesel, Owen Hart and The Undertaker to become involved with the WWF Championship scene in the main event of WrestleMania as well. Of course, plans vary.
- There are rumours that Vader may only be coming into the World Wrestling Federation to work the Royal Rumble match. Personally, I think that Vader could earn more money working in Japan, whereas his reputation may also become damaged in the WWF, given recent history of having wacky gimmicks and occupation-inspired characters. Additionally, rumor has it that the Bushwhackers will return to work the Royal Rumble match. As announced last week on television, Tatanka will return to the WWF to work the Rumble match. Tatanka was positioned as a mid-card heel within the Million Dollar Corporation last year, but fizzled out and went on a hiatus last summer. Tatanka is expected to return to being a babyface, retaining his Native American gimmick.
- On the live event circuit, Henry O. Godwinn introduced his "cousin" Phineas I. Godwinn - who previously worked in the United States Wrestling Association under the ring name "Tex Slazenger", where he won the USWA Heavyweight Championship on two different occasions. Additionally, he has worked with Henry before, where they worked in both World Championship Wrestling (as Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce) earlier on in the decade. It is yet to be acknowledged of Phineas' arrival into the WWF on television, so they may be attempting to introduce Phineas soon, much like Tom Prichard (who debuted this past week on WWF Superstars as "Zip" - Skip's new Bodydonna teammate).
- Reportedly, the Headhunters are being given a tryout with the World Wrestling Federation at their next set of television tapings. The Headhunters previously worked in Japan (as a part of W*NG and IWA-Japan), ECW in the United States, Mexico (with CMLL), and various promotions around the world. However, if the WWF don't complete negotiations, World Championship Wrestling or Extreme Championship Wrestling may come into contact with signing the Headhunters instead, as interest has been shown from all three parties.
- WWF Monday Night RAW tried to return to the battlefield in the Monday night head-to-head battle between themselves and rival organisation, WCW Monday Nitro. However, with the WWF airing a year in review show last week, Nitro managed to shoot up to an impressive 3.1 rating against RAW's 2.3 rating. This week, Nitro scored a 2.8 against RAW's 2.4. Unfortunately for the World Wrestling Federation, WCW have announced that they will start airing their Nitro programme live weekly, wanting to not allow the WWF to catch up in the ratings.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 1/1/1996. In results from the show: - Bret Hart def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley. - Ahmed Johnson def. Spider #1. - Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas def. Razor Ramon & Marty Jannetty, Sean Waltman & Sid and The Smoking Gunns in a "RAW Bowl" match.
- WCW Monday Nitro this past week aired on 1/1/1996. In results from the card: - Hulk Hogan def. Arn Anderson to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. - Sting & Lex Luger def. Masahiro Chono & Kensuke Sasaki. - Steven Regal def. Chris Benoit. - Randy Savage def. Hugh Morrus.
- The WWF Royal Rumble airs on pay-per-view on 01/21/1996. The current card for the show is: - The Royal Rumble match with the winner going on to face the WWF Champion at WrestleMania XII. Current participants include Ahmed Johnson, The British Bulldog, Fatu, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Owen Hart, Razor Ramon, Savio Vega, Sid, Steve Austin, Tatanka, Bushwhacker Luke (spec.), Bushwhacker Butch (spec.), Waylon Mercy (spec.) and 17 others to be announced. - Bret Hart vs The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. - Razor Ramon vs Sean Waltman for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. - The Smoking Gunns vs Jeff Jarrett & Dean Douglas for the WWF Tag Team Championships. (spec.) - Alundra Blayze vs Aja Kong for the WWF Women's Championship.
- WCW Clash of the Champions airs on TBS on 01/23/1996. The current card for the show is: - Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage vs Ric Flair & The Giant. - Brian Pillman vs Sting. (spec.) - Lex Luger vs Eddie Guerrero. (spec.) - Kevin Sullivan vs Disco Inferno. - Alex Wright vs Dean Malenko. - The Public Enemy vs The Nasty Boys.

WWF Monday Night RAW Digging the new format, looks cool. Hot start to the show with the RAW Bowl, Razor and Jannetty going out first is fine as Razor got his revenge later on in the match. Jarrett and Douglas winning was pretty cool, I imagine this sets up a title match at the Rumble or some point sooner. Or the Rumble, apparently. Glad to see Owen Hart and Steve Austin added to the Rumble. Also, learn to count, in addition to Fatu and Johnson, that's only four more people added to the match. <3 Obvious victory for Ahmed Johnson over the Spider, I assume we won't be seeing the Headbangers anytime soon anyway. Waylon Mercy post-match stuff is interesting, I would like to see you do something with him. Finally, a decent main event with Bret Hart going over Hunter as expected. The Undertaker being announced as the number one contender is cool, but I don't see Diesel staying out of that match. Overall, not a bad start to the New Year.
WWF Superstars Hakushi kicking off the show with a win is alright. I chuckled at the image of Avatar randomly running down to the ring, hitting Horowitz with the nun-chucks, and immediately leaving. Fine win for Droese over Spider #2, liked the interference from Goldust after the match. I love Goldust in this time period, just because of the contrast between him and all the other characters. The Royal Rumble card is looking pretty stacked now with the Rumble itself, the WWF Championship match, and now the Intercontinental Championship match. Diesel destroyed poor Brian Walsh, good stuff. I'm excited to see what you'll do with him on the Road to WrestleMania, I feel like the WWF Title match at the Rumble will set up a match against Undertaker at WrestleMania somehow. Standard match to put Steve Austin over, I hope he performs well in the Rumble match, even if it's unlikely he'll win. Lastly, Skip going over Rad Radford (with help from who I presume is Zip) is fine. This week was a good start to 1996, and it did it's job of hyping up the Rumble nicely.

Solid pair of shows to start out 1996. I see you had Jarrett and Douglas win the Raw Bowl. I guess you're giving them a little push, though I don't see them winning the titles. It's interesting to see what Jarrett, Douglas and Madusa might have done in the WWF in '96 had they not bolted the company. I see you're going with Bret vs. Taker as in real life, and I wonder if Diesel will get involved to cement his heel turn. But seeing Razor vs. Waltman is a nice surprise. I guess you're going the opposite way with Razor, Waltman and Goldust or something. And I'm guessing the "impostor Skip" is Tom Pritchard debuting as Zip.
All in all you've got some intriguing stuff here. I'm really eager to see where your timeline goes from here.

Raw, Daniel Tommy-Dreamer, Raw! Your new layout is fascinatingly sexy. Double J and Double D [heheh, Double D] winning the Raw bowl is good. I love me some Double J, no matter what capacity he is in. Good interview with Jarrett and then Austin, some good stuff there. Ahmed Johnson getting the win is expected as I see you pushing him gradually and gradually. Waylon Mercy, you say? Bret Hart getting the win over Trip--- Hunter Hearst Helmsley was expected obviously with him as WWF Champion, and the decision to have The Undertaker #1 contender is good. Also appears as if Diesel may be going heel, ay?

WWF Monday Night RAW - January 8, 1996 Don Carpenter Center - Newark, DE
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A replay aired, to kick things off tonight on WWF Monday Night RAW, as it focused on last Monday night's announcement that the Undertaker would be the next number one contender to Bret Hart's WWF Championship - much to Diesel's chagrin. This became clear on Superstars this past weekend, where Diesel went on a tirade focused at his opponent that night, whom he drove through the announce table; referee Tim White, whom he laid out after the match; and Vince McMahon, whom him directed his harsh comments towards. That's when WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announced that tonight, we'd see "Big Daddy Cool" meet the President one-on-one in a confrontation concerning Diesel's future! Will Diesel's career live on after tonight? The opening video package for RAW aired, as we cut to the Don Carpenter Center for Monday Night RAW! Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed us to the show, as they hyped up the one-to-one confrontation between Diesel and Gorilla Monsoon tonight; plus, footage from this weekend's press conference regarding Shawn Michaels future, and if he'll be able to compete in the Royal Rumble match - or even again! Plus, the Smoking Gunns, Aja Kong and Fatu will be in action. | 00:03 | 2 | "The King of Harts" Owen Hart (w/James E. Cornette) def. Savio Vega [07:35] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:02 for aftermath] The Puerto Rican was in battle in tonight's opening contest for the first time since he was last seen, being laid out by Goldust and Bob Backlund, back at In Your House several weeks ago. Owen Hart meanwhile, was full of steam as of late, being announced for the 1996 Royal Rumble match, and being one of the top contenders to potentially winning it. Owen Hart tried to underestimate Vega throughout this match, as Vega attempted to put up a fight against the "King of Harts", managing to catch him off guard several times with a swift super kick, almost putting Owen away! Vega almost humiliated Hart - whom has recently established quite the reputation for knocking people out with his feet - namely Shawn Michaels. Vega was soon worked over, as Owen was setting things up for the Sharpshooter, so it seemed - but Vega managed to make a comeback, the two ending up going back and forth with reversals - until Owen managed to duck the Caribbean Kick, and planted Vega with the enzuigiri! Owen covered for the victory, as Savio seemed to be unconscious.
The crowd booed, as Owen Hart's hand was raised in victory by Jack Doan, the "King of Harts" victorious tonight, as he prepares for the Royal Rumble match. James E. Cornette then suddenly took the microphone, as he talked about how Camp Cornette have this Rumble dominated, specifically talking about Owen Hart and how much of a star talent he is. Owen talked about how he can't wait until he becomes World Wrestling Federation Champion again! Owen bragged, stating how he can't wait to be a better WWF Champion than his brother - how he can't wait to see the look on Shawn Michaels' face when he breaks the "Heartbreak Kid"s heart, on January 21st! Owen talked about how Shawn better stay retired, because this Rumble match is his - and he's not afraid to kick him out of wrestling all over again! | 00:12 | 3 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler moved on to discuss what Owen Hart and James E. Cornette were talking about, how Shawn Michaels was laid out by an enzuigiri in November by Owen Hart, and hasn't been in the ring since. They reminded us how Shawn Michaels suffered multiple concussions from an attack from several thugs in Syracuse, New York several months ago, and how his condition was announced by Dr Unger, as being incredibly poor. However tonight, we get to see if Shawn will be able to step back in the ring again anytime soon! They then turned back to Savio Vega, who was still unconscious in the ring, as numerous referees had to come out and aid Vega - who seemed unconscious still from the kick from Owen Hart! | 00:13 | - | Commercial Break | 00:16 | 4 | We returned to Monday Night RAW as Savio Vega was shown being helped onto a bench in the trainer's room, backstage here in Newark - as the trainer tried to examine the Puerto Rican's condition, after being laid out by Owen Hart moments ago - but suddenly, Bob Backlund barged into the room, yelling at Vega to wake up! Backlund stormed over to the bench and shoved the trainer out of the way, before shoving Vega off of the bench onto the floor! Suddenly referees scattered into the room, trying to restrain the dual-personality like Backlund from the scene. | 00:17 | 5 | WWF Tag Team Champions The Smoking Gunns def. The Arachnoids [03:24] [+00:01 for the Gunns' entrance] This was the third appearance of the Arachnoids on WWF television, as Spider #1 and Spider #2 both appeared last week, on RAW and Superstars respectively, both coming up short against Ahmed Johnson, and then Duke Droese. Tonight however, they tried their game to get in there with the WWF Tag Team Champions - Billy and Bart having lost the RAW Bowl last week, losing to the combination of "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "The New Roadie" Dean Douglas. The Gunns managed to make short work of the comical Arachnoids and their bumbling antics, as they managed to put one of the Spiders away with the Gunslinger for the win. Meanwhile, however, Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas decided to drop in in the form of an insert promo, telling the Gunns that they rightfully won the RAW Bowl trophy last week, but that they hadn't had enough. Douglas proudly declared that they desired the WWF Tag Team Championships after defeating them last week!
The Smoking Gunns celebrated their victory to cheers, unbeknownst to the comments and challenge made by Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas moments ago. The Gunns celebrated with their WWF Tag Team Championships, as the Arachnoids continued to be unsuccessful in in-ring competition. | 00:21 | 6 | Jerry "The King" Lawler soon fed into some comments about James E. Cornette, and his comments earlier on about how Camp Cornette have the Royal Rumble won. At that point, he replayed the vignette from this past Saturday morning Superstars. Cornette talked about how he has the 600-pound destroyer of all, the Japanese sensation, and 1993 Royal Rumble winner, Yokozuna! He discussed how he has the "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, the greatest wrestler to come out of the United Kingdom - and possibly even the world! | 00:23 | 7 | Aja Kong (w/Harvey Wippleman) def. Selina Majors [01:52] [+00:01 for Aja's entrance] This was Aja Kong's return to the World Wrestling Federation, after succumbing to a tour in Japan with All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling over the course of December. Harvey Wippleman stated in an insert promo during this match that Aja was coming for Alundra Blayze's WWF Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble, telling Blayze that he hoped she was watching, because Kong would be doing the same to her on January 21st. Meanwhile in the ring, Kong made short work of Selina Majors, dominating her practically, before putting her away with the spinning backfist for the victory.
Aja Kong celebrated her victory, as Harvey Wippleman raised his client's hand in victory - as Kong continued to pose as a great threat to Alundra Blayze's WWF Women's Championship. We were then cut to a graphic of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels - whom we will hear from in just a few moments, as we replay footage from this past weekend's press conference in Fresno, California, weeks ahead of the Royal Rumble - but will Michaels be allowed to participate? | 00:26 | - | Commercial Break | 00:29 | 8 | We returned from Monday Night RAW, as WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, Dr Unger, Vince McMahon, Jim Ross, Pat Patterson and various other WWF officials were on hand, either side of a seated Shawn Michaels, as the group of men sat behind a table on a stage - in front of various media outlets, photographers and journalists from the Fresno area. Monsoon talked about how the "Heartbreak Kid" desperately wanted to get back into the ring, and how much he'd like to see him back in the ring, however with his checkered past with injuries and concussions, he cannot risk it. We cut forward to a statement from Shawn's doctor, Dr Unger, who repeated that Michaels may become decapitated permanently if he continues to perform at current capacity. Flashing forward, an emotional Michaels spoke out about how much he needed this and wanted this. Michaels told the audience and the fellow members of the staff team that it meant the world to him. Michaels told Unger that he didn't care if he could get seriously hurt. He just wants to accomplish what he's always wanted to do - wrestle, and become the World Wrestling Federation Champion. And if not, then he wanted everyone that was disallowing him into competing to know, that he hoped they felt guilty every day for the rest of their lives. At that point, we flashed forward, as President Monsoon had one final statement for Michaels, who finally told him that he would be able to compete in the Royal Rumble match, and any other time in which he is booked for competition - however, the World Wrestling Federation simply cannot be held responsible for Michaels' help - it's all on HBK. Michaels told him that that was fine, thanking everyone for their considerable thought and respect towards him, telling them that injury would not stop the "Heartbreak Kid", that Shawn Michaels would not die! | 00:33 | 9 | We returned to the Don Carpenter Arena in Newark, Delaware, as Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler talked about the news - that Shawn Michaels would indeed be allowed to compete in the Royal Rumble match, and how excited they were to see the "Heartbreak Kid" return to the ring. Lawler however was objective - stating that this would be a huge regret for Shawn, especially if he met up with Owen Hart one more time! At that moment, James E. Cornette then scurried out to the announce team, yelling that Michaels must be the dumbest human on the face of the earth, making this Michaels' deathbed, without a doubt! Cornette talked about how excited he was to see Owen Hart kick his head off all over again - or even see the British Bulldog dismantle him all over again and make this Royal Rumble match his - or even unleash his Mastodon, Vader on him! Cornette laughed maliciously. | 00:34 | 10 | The Royal Rumble report aired, as Dok Hendrix was shown standing in front of various television monitors in the WWF media suite, each monitor presenting action from the World Wrestling Federation superstars. Hendrix talked about how the Royal Rumble was coming up just under two weeks, talking about how it's crept up on everyone in the WWF. He talked about the previously announced entrants into this year's Rumble consisting of Razor Ramon, the debuting man they call Vader, Fatu, Ahmed Johnson, Owen Hart, Steve Austin, Yokozuna, the British Bulldog, Sid, Savio Vega, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and the returning Tatanka; but also as just announced, the addition of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels! Hendrix then threw in a couple of extra names, such as Henry O. Godwinn, Marty Jannetty, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Bob Backlund! Hendrix then proceeded to discuss the other matches announced for the Rumble, as last Monday, it was announced that Bret "Hitman" Hart would make his next defense of the WWF Championship against the Undertaker! Additionally, Alundra Blayze will take on her biggest threat to date, Aja Kong for Blayze's WWF Women's Championship. But also, Sean Waltman made a challenge to Razor Ramon a few weeks ago, challenging him to a match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship! Dok then took us to several WWF superstars with some comments for the Rumble match. Fatu talked about how he wanted to make a difference in the World Wrestling Federation, and how winning the Royal Rumble would be his first move; Ahmed Johnson talked about how he's been on an unstoppable defeating spree since arriving in the WWF, but at the Rumble, he can take out 29 other shmucks at his leisure; The British Bulldog spoke about how close he came last year to winning the Rumble, but how this year would be his; Finally, Sid talked about how he was ready to destroy everyone else and do good for the Million Dollar Corporation! Hendrix talked about how the Royal Rumble was live on pay-per-view on January 21st, before signing off.
| 00:38 | - | Commercial Break | 00:41 | 11 | We returned to WWF Monday Night RAW with quite the eerie occurrence, as a man was shown rocking in a wooden chair, his back to the camera, as this surreal man talked in tongues and rhymes, talking about how he was ready to make his return to the World Wrestling Federation, how he'd been gone in suffering, letting all of the little children run free in the World Wrestling Federation. But he was coming back, and that he was ready to come back at the Royal Rumble...and he was looking for the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson! The man then turned around to the camera, revealing himself to be Waylon Mercy! Mercy talked about how he'd be gone for too long, but that he was after that punk, because his butt belonged to Waylon Mercy! Lives are gonna be in Waylon Mercy's hands in the Royal Rumble. | 00:42 | 12 | "Make A Difference" Fatu def. Zip (w/Skip and Sunny) by disqualification [04:32] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] The Bodydonnas found themselves a new member this past weekend on Saturday morning Superstars, as Skip and Sunny found a lookalike to Skip - to whom the announcers referred to as 'Zip', officially the new partner of Skip in the muscle-fitness power team. However, Fatu was indifferent against this newcomer in his in-ring debut on WWF television, managing to take care of the new Bodydonna with lefts and rights, before catching him with a sharp super kick! Fatu went for the cover, but that's when Sunny decided to get involved, distracting Fatu, leading to Skip and Zip trading places! Fatu had to fight this match all over again, as Skip showed more energy, managing to fire into "Make A Difference" Fatu - however Fatu once again made a comeback, leading to Zip once again inserting himself, jumping Fatu at ringside! Referee Earl Hebner rang for the bell.
The crowd booed, as Zip and Skip continued to pound away at Fatu before rolling him back into the ring for more of a beatdown. The crowd booed, as the Bodydonnas united in the ring, as they got Fatu on the top rope, before Skip nailed the top rope hurricanrana on him! Zip then followed, nailing a big legdrop from the top rope! The Bodydonnas stood tall to loud boos, as Zip had made a big splash as the new partner of Skip in the Bodydonnas. | 00:50 | 13 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Royal Rumble, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, January 21st, 1996. | 00:51 | 14 | We returned to Monday Night RAW, as Jim Ross was now stood in the centre of the ring, talking about a recurring issue by the likes of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel. Ross talked about how Diesel had changed his attitude completely since losing the WWF Championship at the Survivor Series, walking with no respect for anybody else, and assaulting anyone and everyone - whether they are in-ring talent, or actual officials, or staff members, for that matter. Ross then introduced WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, who came out to cheers. Monsoon took the microphone and addressed "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, inviting him to come out to the ring immediately. Diesel's theme then hit, as Diesel made his way down the aisleway to more boos than cheers tonight. Diesel got into the ring before asking Monsoon what his deal was, asking him why he got him to come here when he could have been doing something more important, like prepare to take back that WWF Championship. Monsoon reminded Diesel about his disrespectful actions, talking about how he harmed referee Jimmy Korderas, and that he disrespected play-by-play analyst, Vince McMahon. Diesel sarcastically apologised, reminding Monsoon that he excluded him from the World Wrestling Federation Championship hunt, and he appeared ignorant to Diesel's pleas of a rematch! "Big Daddy Cool" told Monsoon that that did not sit well with him, telling him that if anybody else was the President of the World Wrestling Federation - he would be number one contender to the WWF Championship right now! Diesel told Gorilla that he does things on his own terms now, and not on anybody else's accord. Monsoon then told Diesel that he wanted Diesel to know that he has until February 5th to configure his act, or else there would be problems with Diesel's existence in the World Wrestling Federation, and his future would be in jeopardy by the likes of termination! The crowd cheered, as Diesel snarled, getting angrier and angrier. Monsoon told Diesel that he could not lay hands on officials that aren't WWF superstars, or members of staff. But also, he could not attack any of his opponents before or after the bell. Diesel sighed, as this went against his recent actions, having smashed enhancement talent Brian Walsh through an announce table last Saturday morning on Superstars. Diesel hesitantly accepted - on one condition. Monsoon asked what that may be, as Diesel told Gorilla that he wanted in on the Royal Rumble match, in the very least! His argument was that if he couldn't challenge for the WWF Championship as long as that doofus, the Undertaker was in his way - he wants to take his frustration out on 29 other idiots in the Royal Rumble - and have to re-earn his spot in the WWF title hunt! Monsoon accepted, under the conditions that Diesel wouldn't attack anybody outside of matches before January 21st! Diesel accepted, telling Gorilla that he'd prove him wrong, and that in about three months time, Vince McMahon and everybody in the WWF would have to live with "Big Daddy Cool" as World Wrestling Federation Champion! Diesel stormed off, as WWF Monday Night RAW went off the air. | 00:58 |
| NEXT WEEK: YOKOZUNA BATTLES AHMED JOHNSON; HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY, BOB HOLLY, SEAN WALTMAN AND SID WILL BE IN ACTION; PLUS, BRET HART AND SHAWN MICHAELS WILL BE IN THE HOUSE SIX DAYS BEFORE THE ROYAL RUMBLE! | |
WWF Superstars - January 13, 1996 Stabler Arena - Bethlehem, PA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | We kicked off Superstars this week with a replay from Monday Night RAW, showcasing highlights of Shawn Michaels' press conference, as Vince McMahon narrated it. McMahon talked about how we'd see highlights from the press conference tonight; will Shawn Michaels be able to compete in the World Wrestling Federation? Find out tonight! The opening video package aired, introducing the show, as we went to the Stabler Arena, where the theme of Savio Vega hit to cheers; meanwhile, Vince McMahon and Jim Ross welcomed us to WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, talking about how today we'd see the "Bizarre One" Goldust take on Duke "The Dumpster" Droese; plus, Dean Douglas and Jeff Jarrett will be in action; the WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon will be in action; and WWF Champion Bret Hart will be here! All of this, plus a lot more. | 00:03 | 2 | The British Bulldog (w/James E. Cornette and Clarence Mason) def. Henry O. Godwinn [05:26] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] A hard-hitting opening contest kicked things off this morning on Superstars, as the British Bulldog was here to try and avenge recent losses from the past couple of weeks, as Bulldog was unable to win the WWF Championship from Bret "Hitman" Hart at In Your House three weeks ago - and then the night after, Bulldog was also unable to knock off a victory against WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon either! Henry O. Godwinn meanwhile was here to re-assert himself as well, after losing to Hunter Hearst Helmsley at In Your House; both men will be participants in the 1996 Royal Rumble, as well. Bulldog managed to work over the larger Godwinn, trapping him in a bear hug, but Henry soon fought back, getting close to the Slop Drop, but Clarence Mason got on the apron, distracting Henry! This allowed Bulldog to get Henry off-guard with the Running Powerslam, giving Bulldog the win!
The crowd booed as the British Bulldog celebrated his win alongside James E. Cornette and Clarence Mason. Bulldog talked into a camera about how 1995 was not his year, but he found his true colors - then stating that in 1996, he'd win the Royal Rumble, and he'd go on to win the World Wrestling Federation Championship, as well! Suddenly, Bulldog turned around to see Henry O. Godwinn throw his slop at him, and Henry managed to slop Clarence Mason, the man that cost him this match! Godwinn bailed, as Bulldog, Cornette and Mason were left irate. | 00:10 | 3 | We went to Vince McMahon, Savio Vega and Jim Ross on commentary, as they began discussing the situation with Vega and Bob Backlund, talking about how Backlund decided to snap on Vega several weeks ago - and how much of a fighting superstar the Puerto-Rican is. Vega talked about how Backlund and Goldust may have gotten the better of him at In Your House, and even after that - but just in case there are any alliances tonight going on between Backlund and the "Bizarre One", then Vega would be there to back Duke Droese up all of the way! | 00:11 | - | Commercial Break | 00:15 | 4 | WWF Intercontinental Champion "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon def. Phil Apollo [02:16] [+00:01 for Razor's entrance] "The Bad Guy" was ready to spotlight himself this morning on Superstars, with only eight days remaining before Ramon's tough night at the Royal Rumble, where Ramon will take on his former best friend Sean Waltman for the WWF Intercontinental Championship - but also, participating in the 30-man Royal Rumble match! Razor decided to speak out in an insert promo about how ready he was to show that little punk Waltman not to take him so lightly, because Razor was ready to take the Kid to school. Ramon also spoke about how he's been a WWF Intercontinental Champion, but how 1996 would be the year that he finally becomes World Wrestling Federation Champion. Ramon put Apollo away with the Razor's Edge, which was good for the three.
The crowd cheered as the "Bad Guy" reigned supreme this morning on Superstars, as the WWF Intercontinental Champion had proven to everybody watching that he was ready for double duty at the 1996 Royal Rumble! | 00:18 | 5 |
The Royal Rumble report aired, as Dok Hendrix was shown standing in front of various television monitors in the WWF media suite, each monitor presenting action from the World Wrestling Federation superstars. Hendrix talked about how the Royal Rumble was coming up a week from Sunday night, talking about how ready all of the WWF superstars are for their opportunity to win the 1996 Royal Rumble. He talked about the previously announced entrants into this year's Rumble consisting of Razor Ramon, the British Bulldog, the man they call Vader, Fatu, Ahmed Johnson, Owen Hart, Yokozuna, Steve Austin, Sid, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Tatanka, Henry O. Godwinn, Marty Jannetty, Bob Backlund, Jerry Lawler, and as added on Monday Night RAW, the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel! Hendrix then decided to announce four newly added participants into the Rumble, consisting of Waylon Mercy, Hakushi, Skip and his new partner in the Bodydonnas, Zip! Hendrix proceeded to discuss the other matches announced for the Rumble, as Bret "Hitman" Hart would make his next defense of the WWF Championship against the Undertaker! Additionally, Alundra Blayze would take on her biggest opponent to date, Aja Kong for the WWF Women's Championship. Not only that, but Razor Ramon defends his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Sean Waltman; and finally, added earlier today, RAW Bowl winners "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas will challenge the Smoking Gunns for their WWF Tag Team Championships! We cut to some comments from the Smoking Gunns, as the Tag Team Champions discussed how they fairly lost the RAW Bowl to Jarrett and Douglas, but vowed to expose the phonies, that phony country singer "Double J", and his little mascot, Dean Douglas! The Gunns vowed to show everybody who truly was all about country, and Jarrett and Douglas are in their country - but not for long. Hendrix signed off. | 00:21 | 6 | "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas def. Jason Ahrndt and Jeff Hardy [03:03] [+00:01 for Jarrett and Douglas' entrance] The RAW Bowl winners, Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas showed what made them rightful WWF Tag Team Championship contenders last week by pinning the Smoking Gunns in a non-title situation, and tonight they proved why they deserve to be number one contenders to the gold. "Double J" was egotistical in this one, as "Agent" Dean Douglas clapped him on. The contenders voiced their opinions on Billy and Bart Gunn via insert promo, where they talked about how the Gunns were old news, and that they were now the old cowboys in town - bragging about how they were ready to rule the country music world with Jarrett's singing, and Douglas' businessman capabilities - but also, by being WWF Tag Team Champions of the World! Jarrett applied the Figure-Four Leglock on Ahrndt, before Douglas came off of the top rope with a big flying forearm across the throat, giving the number one contenders the victory.
The crowd booed, as Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas strutted around the ring, Jarrett being the loudmouth and stating with confidence that they were going to be the next WWF Tag Team Champions! Ain't it great? Meanwhile, Vince McMahon hyped up a replay from Monday Night RAW, where Shawn Michaels' condition was evaluated; the press conference will air next! | 00:25 | - | Commercial Break | 00:29 | 7 | "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin (w/Ted Dibiase) def. Barry Horowitz [03:46] [+00:02 for entrances] The "Million Dollar Man" had his newest acquisition in the Million Dollar Corporation in action this morning on Superstars, as "The Ringmaster" locked horns with a man that finally found himself in 1995, the underdog Barry Horowitz; who was finally able to break his long-running losing streak earlier this year against Hakushi - someone whom he is now aligned with, ironically. Horowitz tried to put up a fight against Austin, but it was all for not, as Austin managed to cut Horowitz off, stomping into Horowitz and nailing him with some hard-hitting shots, Austin also trash-talking through this match. Austin proceeded to put Horowitz away with the Million Dollar Dream for the win. Throughout the match, Austin voiced his opinion on the Royal Rumble match, vowing to hurl 29 other jackasses over the top rope and go on to WrestleMania for the Million Dollar Corporation.
The crowd booed, as "The Ringmaster" refused to let go of the Million Dollar Dream! Referee Earl Hebner tried to get Austin off of Barry Horowitz, before Austin finally released it. Austin had his hand raised by manager, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase to more of a negative response from the Bethlehem crowd, as Hakushi dashed into the ring, fending off Austin and Dibiase. Hakushi proceeded to attend to his fallen partner. | 00:35 | 8 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Savio Vega talked about the Royal Rumble match on commentary, spawning from discussion about how tensions fly high, as we just saw with Steve Austin and Hakushi. They discussed what it meant to be in the Rumble match, before feeding into a vignette of several WWF superstars voicing their opinions on how they think they will settle in the Rumble next Sunday. First up was the British Bulldog, who vowed that 1996 was going to be a better year than 1995, and that he would not let Shawn Michaels get in his way this year, stating that he'd win the Royal Rumble match, and go on to win the World Wrestling Federation Championship - for the first time a British man will be WWF Champion! From there, Ahmed Johnson spoke out, talking about how he was undefeated in the WWF so far, and that it would be no different at the Royal Rumble, where he will destroy everything in his path, and go on to WrestleMania. Hunter Hearst Helmsley stated that the Royal Rumble match is fit for a man of his stature - for he is the royal, that he lives like a royal, and that come January 21st, it will be none other than him who is the victor. Helmsley seemed inclined that the Rumble was his to win. "Make A Difference" Fatu maintained that he would be the first Samoan to win it, stating that he's seen a battlefield before, and that he was in it - but that he wasn't just ready to win the battle, but to also win the war, and that he was winning the Rumble for all of his supporters that want see a difference made! | 00:37 | 9 | Duke "The Dumpster" Droese def. "The Bizarre One" Goldust (w/Marlena) [8:20; exceeded one commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances] "The Dumpster" wanted this match with Goldust after demanding it several weeks ago after watching the feminine Goldust in action for weeks on end, vowing to make a man out of the "Bizarre One". Goldust seemed to continue to freak Droese out here, trying to get him off guard with mind games, such as trying to get Droese in a liplock during a lockup. Duke went into powerhouse mode however, pounding into Goldust with heavy lefts and rights, the trashman ready to snatch a victory tonight against the amazingly successful Hollywood director in singles action this morning on Superstars. Droese got ready to deliver the Trash Compactor on Goldust, but Goldust managed to simply roll out of the ring, planning to leave! Droese seemed irked, as Goldust talked it through with his lady friend Marlena - smoking a cigar as always at ringside - when suddenly Savio Vega on commentary decided to shove Goldust back into the ring, leading Goldust in position for the Trash Compactor connecting, giving Droese quite the victory!
The crowd cheered, as the "Dumpster" was successful against the "Bizarre One" Goldust this morning on Superstars! Vega then got into the ring and raised Droese's hand, as Goldust rolled out of the ring and yelled at Droese in the ring in outrage, Goldust almost at the point of tears after eating defeat - Goldust having to be aided to the backstage area by his valet, Marlena. | 00:47 | 10 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Royal Rumble, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, January 21st, 1996. | 00:48 | 11 | A vignette aired, hyping up the debut of the man they call Vader! The video package showing off this mastodon working out and throwing punches at the beach. All 400-pounds of Vader is coming to the Royal Rumble!
| 00:49 | - | Commercial Break | 00:45 | 12 | We returned to WWF Superstars, as Vince McMahon discussed the Royal Rumble, and some of the matches lined up for the show, before talking about how firstly, they had to get to Monday Night RAW, this Monday; scheduled to feature Yokozuna taking on the "Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson; plus, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and "Spark Plugg" Bob Holly will be in action, Sean Waltman and Sid will be in action; plus a lot more, six days prior to the Royal Rumble! Monday night on the USA Network, from 9/8 CT. | 00:46 | 13 | The theme of the "Hitman" hit, triggering an enormous response from the fans in the Stabler Center! Jim Ross stood in the ring anticipating the arrival of the reigning World Wrestling Federation Champion, hoping to get some words from Bret Hart this morning on Superstars. Bret Hart came out and marched to the ring to another great response, as the "Hitman" then got into the ring, as the fans in Bethlehem continued to go crazy for Bret! Ross introduced Bret, talking about how Hart has been quiet since he managed to retain the WWF Championship last month at In Your House, managing to knock off a victory against the British Bulldog, his brother-in-law. Bret spoke out about how hard-fought a battle it was, giving some credit to the Bulldog, but stating that the right man won, given that Bret was at a disadvantage. Ross asked Bret about his thoughts on the Undertaker being named the number one contender to the World Wrestling Federation Championship last week by President Gorilla Monsoon, as Bret talked about the news that on Monday on RAW, the Undertaker will be in attendance, and that Bret planned on meeting him one-to-one in the middle of that ring, talking about how he'd never fought the "Deadman" before, and calling him menacing, an unorthodox threat to his WWF Championship! Suddenly, Bret was cut off by the ever-irritable sound of James E. Cornette, which caused the audience to hiss and boo loudly. Cornette talked about how it was outrageous that Bret managed to leave In Your House still reigning as WWF Champion, mentioning that Bret barely won that match, and that Bulldog could have had the match won, back on December 17th! Bret chuckled, as Cornette got into the ring, Jim telling the WWF Champion that he hasn't seen Bret since then, and this was his best opportunity to get a hold of him. Bret told Jim that Bulldog could have won...but he didn't, and that the right man won in the end, because Bulldog tried taking all of Jim's shortcuts! Cornette got angrier and angrier, calling Hart a paper champion, that Bulldog was always the better wrestler, the better superstar, before snapping and slapping Bret across the face! Bret didn't take that too well, as Hart grinned it off, before tripping Cornette and proceeding to lock the loudmouth in the Sharpshooter! Cornette tapped instantly, as Bret did it all with a smile on his face, before finally letting Cornette go! Hart celebrated with the WWF Championship held high, two days prior to his meeting with the Undertaker on RAW, as WWF Superstars went off the air. | 00:56 |

Dan, I haven't followed much of this since I feel like the first few months of new diaries are people not using their own ideas. So, lets see where we are at so far.
An enjoyable segment involving Owen. I doubt you will have him win the Royal Rumble, but that would be interesting way to go if you did.. and different which is always good.
The tag team of Jarrett and Douglas is good, I guess. I think they need to have a similar gimmick. Douglas being a teacher and Jarrett being the country singer seems odd to me.
Glad to see Waltman getting a shot at Ramon's belt.. though I kind of wish he still was known as the Kid, at least. Sean Waltman just screams Attitude Era to me and the WWF isn't quite there yet. I wonder what this will mean for Goldust since he isn't in the title picture.
Oh dear God. Waylon Mercy? This must be inspired by the Bray Wyatt stuff on RAW. Honestly, Mercy blew chunks in the ring at this point. Hopefully you're able to come up with something entertaining.
The last segment involving Diesel and Monsoon didn't click with me. Handcuffing Diesel's great heel character will do more harm than good. Setting a timetable to allow Diesel to change his attitude is odd, as well. I didn't understand the point of this, really. I get that it puts Diesel in the Rumble but now he doesn't look like a badass.
OH, Dean Douglas is an agent now. I gotcha. That makes sense for the team then.
Wow, it's really bad to see Goldust lose to Droese even with Vega's involvement. Goldust should be pushed, not losing to a trashman. That bummed me out.
The ending segment to Superstars didn't keep my interest. Hart putting Cornette in the Sharpshooter was a suitable way to end the show.
Seems like WWF '96 is a mixed bag of stuff. I hope after Rumble there will be some exciting stuff and I hope the results at the PPV aren't too similar to real life.. and since a few of the matches are different that shouldn't be a problem.

Firstly, I love the table layout. It's different and looks great. Onto RAW, Owen Hart with a victory in the opening contest was expected. I liked the post-match promo, and as I said before, Owen and Shawn Michaels are the only two people who I could legitimately see winning the Royal Rumble match in two weeks. Savio Vega remaining unconscious was a nice touch to continue to build the dangerous side of Owen. WWF Tag Team Champions The Smoking Guns getting the simple victory here was fine. I must say that I am interested in the idea of Billy and Bart entering a program with Jeff Jarrett and Dean Douglas for the gold. Aja Kong is a scary bitch. I really enjoyed the Shawn Michaels segment here. It makes sense for this entire ordeal to lead to his victory at the Royal Rumble, though I would kind of rather see him come close, only to be the final man eliminated. Quite an intriguing promo for Bray Wyatt Waylon Mercy. Looking forward to his return at the Royal Rumble. A fair enough match between Fatu and Zip. The post-match attack was a great to establish Zip as the new acquaintance of Skip and Sunny. Lastly, a very nice closing segment with Diesel's placement in the Royal Rumble match being confirmed. Can't see him winning, however. I find it likely that you'll maintain the route of reality and have Diesel compete against the Undertaker at WrestleMania. A solid edition of RAW overall. Excitement is building as we get closer to the Royal Rumble, especially with Shawn Michaels and the World Wrestling Federation Champion Bret Hart being on the show next week.

The Rumble is shaping up well. I like the directions youre going witj Diesel and HBK, and how prominent Camp Cornette is. I know its projecting pretty far off, but I hope if/when HBK takes the WWF Title, or even if Hart retains, I hope Vader is the one to beat him for it.

WWF Monday Night RAW Decent opening contest between Owen Hart and Savio Vega, Owen picking up the win was obviously for the best. Owen seems like a pretty good bet for the Rumble right now, but I still feel like Shawn's got it in the bag. I like how the Enzuigiri is being built up to be so devastating. Backlund attacking Vega in the trainer's room was good, seems like something he'd do. Obvious win for the Smoking Gunns over the Arachnoids, the insert promo from Jarrett and Douglas was nice, their match at the Rumble could be fun. Another squash match here, but Aja Kong needed the win before the Rumble. I'm glad to see Shawn Michaels is confirmed for the Rumble match. I'm starting to wonder if you'll have him win, or have him enter a feud with Owen Hart. Both seem pretty likely at this point. The Rumble was looking stacked before, but now we've got Henry O. Godwinn and Marty Jannetty. That's some stiff competition right there. Excited for Waylon Mercy's return and how you'll be booking him. Fatu scoring the win over Zip via DQ after interference from Skip is fine, not much of a main event. Monsoon confronting Diesel is the real story, anyway. Some pretty interesting developments here, with Monsoon threatening to fire him and Diesel being announced for the Rumble. I still feel like you're going for Undertaker/Diesel at WrestleMania, which is fine because it's probably 'Taker's most underrated WrestleMania match. Overall, not a bad show, did it's job of hyping up the Rumble.
WWF Superstars Bulldog with the win to kick off the show is alright, expecting a good performance from him in the Rumble. Ha, Mason got slopped. Nice win for the Intercontinental Champion, excited for his match against Waltman. I could actually see Waltman taking the title, even if it isn't very likely. Walyon Mercy being confirmed for the Rumble is cool. Good win for Jarrett and Douglas heading into the Rumble. Steve Austin over Barry Horowitz is fine, you're just building Austin up at this point. I wonder what his first feud will be. Wow, didn't expect Droese to go over Goldust at all. Vega's interference was a good way to continue the feud with Goldust and Backlund, too. Oh, Bret Hart and the Undertaker meeting face to face on RAW Monday could be fun. Liked Cornette's involvement here, and the Sharpshooter from Hart. I feel like Camp Cornette is in store for a big WrestleMania. Like RAW this wasn't a bad show, just another show hyping up the Rumble for next week.

THE CHEAT SHEET Written by Marc Pearson on Monday, January 15, 1996
- Rumours persist that Sabu from ECW will be arriving in the WWF as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match. Additionally, it has been learned from an inside source that Vince McMahon has noticed Extreme Championship Wrestling's existence in the wrestling industry in the United States. This could mean one of two things: that McMahon could scrape ECW of their top tier talent, or that McMahon could meet Paul Heyman, the owner of ECW in the future regarding a working agreement. At the moment, we are assuming ECW will be scraped of its talent in an attempt to remove them from being the third biggest organization in the US. O
- Contrary to what was said last week, Vader has indeed signed a long-term contract with the World Wrestling Federation. It was initially believed that he would only be coming into the company for the Royal Rumble. Vader is a former multi-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and is a menace in Japan, where he competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Recently, Vader appeared on New Japan's annual January 4th show in a losing effort to Japanese legend, Antonio Inoki.
- WWF Monday Night RAW has managed to catch up with WCW Monday Nitro this week, scoring a 2.5 rating to World Championship Wrestling's 2.7. RAW fell behind in the ratings due to their pre-empted Year in Review show on December 25th, 1995. The ratings war resumes.
- WWF Monday Night RAW this past week aired on 1/8/1996. In results from the show: - Fatu def. Zip by disqualification. - Aja Kong def. Selina Majors. - The Smoking Gunns def. The Arachnoids. - Owen Hart def. Savio Vega.
- WCW Monday Nitro this past week aired on 1/8/1996. In results from the card: - Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage def. Ric Flair & Arn Anderson by disqualification. - Sting def. Diamond Dallas Page. - Steven Regal def. Eddie Guerrero. - Chris Benoit def. Alex Wright.

- WCW Superbrawl airs on pay-per-view on 02/11/1996. No card has been revealed for the show yet.
- WWF In Your House airs on pay-per-view on 02/18/1996. Rumour has it that this show will feature a steel-cage match in its' main event.
- WCW Uncensored airs on pay-per-view on 03/24/1996. Every match will feature a gimmick.

Decent pair of shows to continue the Rumble build. The Michaels press conference happened as expected, now we'll see if he wins the Rumble or if you go a different direction. People may harp on Waylon Mercy's ability, but he was a fascinating character that never got a real chance to go anywhere, and I'm interested to see what you do with him. Putting him in a few against Ahmed should be someting to behold. The confrontation between Diesel and Gorilla Monsoon was well done, for a second I though he'd be the one to attack him instead of Vader. Many of the PPV participants got some strong wins to get them momentum, but even I have to question having Goldust job to Droese, even with Vega's interference. You'll have to do some damage control with that move. Overall a solid week of television.

WWF Monday Night RAW - January 15, 1996 Don Carpenter Center - Newark, DE
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A brief video package aired, with Vince McMahon talking about Martin Luther King, commemorating Martin Luther King Day. Following this, the opening video package for WWF Monday Night RAW aired, before we cut to the Don Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware, where Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler introduced us to the show. They talked about a packed hour of action for us tonight, just six days away from the Royal Rumble. McMahon promoted the in-ring confrontation between Bret "Hitman" Hart and The Undertaker, just six days away from their WWF Championship encounter at Royal Rumble this Sunday; but also, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel is in the house; plus, Sean Waltman, Savio Vega and Hunter Hearst Helmsley are all scheduled for action! | 00:02 | 2 | WWF Tag Team Champion Bart Gunn (w/Billy Gunn) def. "Agent" Dean Douglas (w/Jeff Jarrett) [07:15 - exceeded a commercial break] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] This was a singles encounter between two teams that are scheduled to meet this Sunday night at the Royal Rumble, as "Agent" Dean Douglas strived to keep the side up for the challengers, after two weeks ago on RAW, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Douglas were victorious in the RAW Bowl, managing to defeat the Smoking Gunns in the process. Bart Gunn however was more motivated than ever, wanting to even the score against the so-called country music singer and his agent. Dean Douglas showed arrogance at the same time in this one however, as Jeff Jarrett managed to gain an advantage for Agent Douglas, getting himself involved on several occasions. Eventually, Billy Gunn decided to get himself involved as well, however, Gunn tripping Douglas off of the top rope as he went for a diving elbow drop! Bart then rolled Douglas up, giving the Gunns the victory!
The crowd cheered, as Bart Gunn rolled out of the ring into the waiting arms of brother Billy, as the WWF Tag Team Champions had evened up the score against "Agent" Dean Douglas and "Double J" Jeff Jarrett! Jarrett and Douglas showed frustration in the ring, as the Smoking Gunns had picked up the win for their side tonight - but can lightning strike twice this Sunday? | 00:12 | 3 | Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler talked about the Smoking Gunns and their challenge this Sunday, in meeting Dean Douglas and Jeff Jarrett for their WWF Tag Team Championships. "The King" talked about how Billy and Bart cheated tonight, but that they could never get the job done in defending the titles successfully against good old "Double J" and "Agent" Dean Douglas! McMahon then discussed the Royal Rumble this Sunday night, talking about how 30 WWF superstars will compete for contention to the World Wrestling Federation Championship - currently held by the "Hitman" Bret Hart. A video package proceeded, showcasing the best of Bret Hart and how he deserves to be the top guy in the World Wrestling Federation, and why he is the WWF Champion. Tonight, Hart will meet his next contender to the WWF Championship, the Undertaker, in an in-ring confrontation to be conveyed by Jim Ross! | 00:14 | - | Commercial Break | 00:17 | 4 | We returned to Monday Night RAW, as the WWF Intercontinental Champion was shown in footage from during the commercial break, as Razor Ramon was waiting in catering for his meal, the "Bad Guy" sat at a table with Savio Vega, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese and various other WWF superstars, when suddenly a member of staff delivered his meal on a tray - enclosed with a note. Ramon appeared intrigued, the WWF Intercontinental Champion then opening up the note and reading it. After a few seconds however, Ramon appeared disgusted, shredding the piece of paper in his hands and telling Vega and Droese that there are some severely messed up people around here! Vince McMahon wondered why Razor was receiving so many notes, citing a potential secret admirer. | 00:18 | 5 | Meanwhile, outside of the arena, Dok Hendrix was shown standing by, as Hendrix talked about how apparently "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel was here, and that he wasn't in a good mood whatsoever, apparently storming through a barrage of people when arriving here at the arena moments ago. Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler then squabbled, discussing how WWF President Gorilla Monsoon strictly told Diesel that if he caused anymore commotion, that his future with the World Wrestling Federation could be in severe jeopardy! | 00:19 | 6 | Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Matt Hardy [02:40] [+00:01 for Helmsley's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath]] The Greenwich blue blood apparently has tried to avoid being in competition ahead of the Royal Rumble match this Sunday, accordingly wanting to save himself in tip-top condition for the Rumble match, where Mr Helmsley has appeared quite confident about winning. During this match, an insert promo showed from Helmsley that this Rumble match would be his, and that he would reign supreme amongst the 29 other peasants in that match. Helmsley managed to pick up quite an easy victory tonight on RAW, putting Matt Hardy away with a Pedigree.
The crowd booed as Hunter Hearst Helmsley's arm was raised in victory, Helmsley proceeding to curtsy for the cynical Newark crowd. Helmsley was on the right lines going into the Royal Rumble match - when suddenly his past rival, Henry O. Godwinn appeared on the aisleway, appearing to watch Helmsley as he paraded around the ring. | 00:23 | 7 | A vignette aired, showing off Sunny in quite a candid-looking bikini, as Sunny promoted the World Wrestling Federation's flagship show, uttering the words "I like it RAW". | 00:23 | - | Commercial Break | 00:26 | 8 | The Royal Rumble report aired, as Dok Hendrix was shown standing in front of various television monitors in the WWF media suite, each monitor presenting action from the World Wrestling Federation superstars. Hendrix promoted the 1996 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, talking about how the most exciting 60 minutes in the calendar year of professional wrestling was approaching, when 30 men line up in the ring, with only one man able to win it, and go on to challenge for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania XII! Hendrix talked about some of the superstars in that match, such as the British Bulldog, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, the 6'9 menace, "Sycho" Sid, the returning "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "The King of Harts" Owen Hart, the 600-pound Yokozuna, "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon, and the debuting man they call Vader! Clips were shown of Vader training as in previous video packages promoting his debut, the 400+ pounder lifting weights and throwing punches, as Hendrix talked about how excited he was to see how the big man does in the Royal Rumble. But also, the Undertaker will challenge Bret "Hitman" Hart for the WWF Championship; Razor Ramon and Sean Waltman do double-duty, as former friends challenge for the WWF Intercontinental Championship; plus, Alundra Blayze faces her biggest opponent to date by the fearsome Aja Kong for her WWF Women's Championship; And the Smoking Gunns will defend their WWF Tag Team Championships against the combination of "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and "Agent" Dean Douglas! But also, thirty minutes before the Rumble kicks off, live on the Preview Channel, the WWF presents its very first "Free 4-All", scheduled to feature Bob Backlund team up with the "Bizarre One" Goldust to take on their respective rivals, Savio Vega and Duke "The Dumpster" Droese! Hendrix plugged the Royal Rumble being on pay-per-view one more time, before signing off. | 00:29 | 9 | We returned to WWF Monday Night RAW, where Vince McMahon talked about how during the commercial break, we gained footage of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel in the backstage area, taking us right to it, as Diesel was shown stretching in the backstage area, flexing in preparation for something, a scowl on his face. At that moment, Dok Hendrix approached Diesel, seemingly requesting an interview with the big man, but Diesel simply placed his hand in Dok's face, and silently walked away. Apparently "Big Daddy Cool" is attempting to keep his cool, otherwise his job may be in very hot waters! | 00:30 | 10 | Savio Vega def. Spider #2 (w/Spider #1) [03:11] [+00:01 for Vega's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The Puerto-Rican superstar was in action against one of the Arachnoids one more time tonight, as Savio Vega was just announced as being on the WWF Free 4-All, teaming up with Duke "The Dumpster" Droese to take on the "Bizarre One" Goldust and Bob Backlund - as well as competing in the Royal Rumble match! The Spiders attempted to switch places in this match, but it was to no prevail, as Savio outsmarted the pair, and managed to put Spider #2 away with the Caribbean Kick for the win!
The crowd cheered as Savio Vega celebrated his victory, as the Puerto-Rican superstar began to leave, another good victory for Vega tonight - when suddenly Goldust appeared on the screen on the entranceway, right in front of Vega's face! Goldust was shown in the dark, as we could only see Goldust's wig and his golden facepaint. Goldust talked about how Savio seems to think that he is a better talent than he actually is - but how wrong he is! Goldust talked about how he remembered the thrusting of bodies, Vega's and Bob Backlund's, as the two continued to wrestle one another aggressively...and Goldust watched, and he felt good...really good. Goldust vowed to put Vega into pasture this Sunday on the Free 4-All, when he and Backlund take on Vega and Duke Droese. Goldust then vowed to go on and win the 1996 Royal Rumble - claiming to want some slender gold around his fine waist. Vega was freaked out, as Jim Ross and Vince McMahon did not know what to make of those deranged, controversial comments from the "Bizarre One"! | 00:35 | 11 | In the backstage area, Bret Hart was shown walking down a corridor, the "Hitman" seemingly arriving tonight on Monday Night RAW in preparation for the in-ring confrontation with his next challenger, the Undertaker, when Todd Pettingill appeared, asking for some brief comments from the WWF Champion before their meeting. Bret told Todd simply that the Undertaker may be his biggest challenge to date, stating that there is nobody like the "Deadman" - but that does not change the fact that the "Hitman" will back down, no matter how much he respects the Undertaker! Bret told Todd that like everybody else, he'll have to see what he has to say about the Undertaker in the ring later on. | 00:36 | 12 | Commercial Break | 00:39 | 13 | Sean Waltman (w/Ted Dibiase) def. Freddie Joe Floyd [02:31] [+00:01 for Waltman's entrance; +00:02 for aftermath] The number one contender to the WWF Intercontinental Championship was in action next, as Sean Waltman definitely had a busy night ahead of him before the Royal Rumble this Sunday, as the Kid will both face his former best friend the "Bad Guy" Razor Ramon for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, as well as compete in the Royal Rumble match! Waltman used his martial artistic background against Freddie Joe Floyd, getting in many kicks on Floyd as the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase cackled on from ringside. Joe Floyd was spoken of as an aspiring WWF superstar, with a bright future ahead of him, potentially. With that, Floyd attempted to put up a fight against Waltman, but it wasn't meant to be, as Sean got the win with the 1-2-3 Kick for the victory.
The crowd booed as Sean Waltman's hand was raised with another win, as Ted Dibiase soon got into the ring, the "Million Dollar Man" with a microphone in hand, as Dibiase cackled for the Newark crowd, boasting about how the Million Dollar Corporation were ready to finally take the WWF Intercontinental Championship away from Razor Ramon, and that a member of the Million Dollar Corporation were going to win the Royal Rumble match, and go on to monopolize the World Wrestling Federation, and win the WWF Championship at WrestleMania! The crowd booed, as Waltman then took over, calling out Razor Ramon for a little confrontation of their own before the Royal Rumble, calling the "Bad Guy" a coward - always being one, even when they were friends! At that moment, Razor Ramon then hit the ring, the WWF Intercontinental Champion hitting the ring, just for Waltman and Dibiase to bail! Razor was vexed, but Waltman and Dibiase could not hide from Razor this Sunday at the Rumble!
| 00:44 | 13 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Royal Rumble, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, January 21st, 1996. | 00:45 | 14 | We returned to WWF Monday Night RAW, as Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler discussed Shawn Michaels and his big return coming this Sunday night at the Royal Rumble - as "The King" once again talked about how this was a terrible idea, stating that the "Heartbreak Kid"s career will die this Sunday, when he gets in the ring with the British Bulldog - the same man that Michaels screwed out of winning the Royal Rumble last year!; Owen Hart - the man that took Michaels out of action indefinitely two months ago!; 600 pounds of big Yokozuna; and the debuting 450-pound demon, the man they call Vader! McMahon then introduced a video package, showcasing Michaels' career, led into footage of Michaels working out in preparation for his big comeback, where he vows to return and make his boyhood dream come true! Meanwhile, up next, Bret Hart and The Undertaker meet one-on-one in the ring, in their in-ring confrontation! It's up next. | 00:48 | - | Commercial Break | 00:51 | 15 | Jim Ross was shown in the ring as we returned from our final commercial break, Ross stood in the centre of the ring as he revealed that this was the time in which we'd all been waiting for, the big confrontation between the Undertaker and Bret "Hitman" Hart, six days prior to what could be an all-out war between two of the very best in the World Wrestling Federation today - all for the prize of the WWF Championship. Ross then proceeded to introduce the current reigning WWF Champion, Bret Hart, who came out to a massive ovation, here in Newark tonight. Hart walked to the ring, the WWF Championship draped over his shoulder, as Bret taunted for the loving crowd here tonight. Ross then asked for some comments from the "Hitman" before the arrival of his challenger this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. Hart spoke out about what he said earlier, stating that he had all of the respect for the Undertaker, calling him a leader in the WWF - how he's been with this great organization for the past five years, and that he has all of the potential in the world to become a legend, and a future World Wrestling Federation Champion...but he doesn't think that he's ready for that just yet. Bret spoke about how hard-working he has been to get where he is, how he's been with the WWF for over twelve years, how he's from the best damn wrestling family in the professional wrestling industry! Hart talked about how he's the "Best There Is, The Best There Was, and the Best There Ever Will Be", and that all of the fans know it themselves! The fans cheered, as Bret told Jim that he wanted to extend a hand to the "Deadman" for a respectful showing this Sunday on pay-per-view. At this point, Ross introduced the Undertaker, as the lights went out, and the infamous gong hit! Suddenly, all of the fans in the Don Carpenter Center got to their feet, as Paul Bearer appeared with his urn in hand - the "Deadman" following in pursuit soon after! The Undertaker was led to the ring by Bearer, as the menacing duo slowly walked down to the ring, where 'Taker got onto the apron and raised the lights in the arena with his arms. The fans exploded, as Bret came face to face with the Undertaker! 'Taker then took the microphone from Jim Ross, telling Bret that he would rest in peace! The fans cheered, when suddenly their staredown was interrupted by the theme of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel! Diesel then came out to the arena to a mixed reaction, Diesel simply watching on from ringside as Bret and 'Taker's eyes were fixated on Diesel! Diesel gave them a thumbs down, and mouthed off words to the Undertaker and Bret, shouting that he should be the WWF Champion! Vince McMahon hastily told us that they had to go, as WWF Monday Night RAW came to a close with 'Taker and the "Hitman" staring down with Diesel! | 01:00 |
WWF Superstars - January 20, 1996 Stabler Arena - Bethlehem, PA
Segment | Description | Timeline | 1 | A recap of Monday Night RAW aired to kick off WWF Superstars this morning, as it showed Bret Hart talking about the Undertaker, just six days prior to their collision this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, as the Undertaker responded, coming face to face with the "Hitman", telling him that he would rest in peace...but that's when Diesel interrupted the festivities, "Big Daddy Cool" interrupting a historic RAW moment, claiming that he should be the World Wrestling Federation Champion! The opening video package for WWF Saturday Morning Superstars aired, as we cut to the Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, as Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and James E. Cornette were on commentary, welcoming us to the show. McMahon talked about how the Royal Rumble was coming up tomorrow night on pay-per-view, and how ecstatic everybody in the World Wrestling Federation was for the big event! McMahon talked about how this morning we would see "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel in action against Jerry "The King" Lawler; plus, the British Bulldog, Yokozuna and Ahmed Johnson are all scheduled for action - plus a lot more in this hour of Superstars! | 00:03 | 2 | Avatar def. Hakushi [07:16] [+00:02 for entrances; +00:01 for aftermath] These two have been rivalling for weeks, as the masked newcomer, Avatar was once the partner of Hakushi, the two competing on the same team at the Survivor Series, but in recent weeks, Avatar has been opposed to the Japanese sensation, Avatar now sporting a black ninja-style getup to heavily contrast to the white attire of the great Hakushi. Hakushi and Avatar wrestled quite a different match to what we typically see in the World Wrestling Federation, both men going at it at what seemed like 110 miles per hour, Hakushi trying to outwrestle Avatar using his quickness, but the much larger Avatar managed to cut him off soon enough with a big clothesline! Avatar continued, laying into Hakushi with some dreaded chops, before Hakushi began to make a comeback, dropkicking Avatar right out of the ring! Hakushi followed it up with a big senton plancha, but Avatar managed to move! Avatar then proceeded to roll Hakushi back into the ring, before managing to put Hakushi away with the moonsault for the three.
The crowd booed, as Avatar's hand was raised in victory, the black ninja then unmasking as seen in previous months, Avatar bowing to Hakushi before continuing to stomp away at the Japanese sensation! The crowd hissed, as suddenly, Aldo Montoya came to the rescue of Avatar, Montoya running Avatar away! Montoya was here to look out for Hakushi, as Avatar left without a problem. | 00:13 | 3 | Vince McMahon and Jim Ross commented on how Avatar has been confirmed to take part in the 1996 Royal Rumble match, which should be interesting given that Hakushi will be in there as well. James E. Cornette then chimed in with his own opinion, stating that both men in that match were stellar international superstars, but that it doesn't really matter about tomorrow night's Royal Rumble match, because one member of his illustrious Camp Cornette faction will leave victorious, and he isn't just saying that - he believes that! Cornette stated that the Rumble belonged to Owen Hart, Yokozuna, the British Bulldog and Vader! And anybody in their way will get destroyed, without a shadow of a doubt! McMahon shrugged off the opinion. | 00:14 | - | Commercial Break | 00:15 | 4 | Yokozuna (w/Mr Fuji) def. Scott Taylor [01:16] [+00:01 for Yokozuna's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] All 600 pounds of the gigantic Yokozuna was in action tonight, as the former World Wrestling Federation Champion wanted to make some noise with only over twenty four hours away from the 1996 Royal Rumble match, the 1993 Royal Rumble winner managing to easily dismantle poor little Scott Taylor, as Yokozuna powered him around before putting him away with the big, bad Banzai Drop! Meanwhile, James E. Cornette talked about the destructive nature of Yokozuna, talking about how he won the Royal Rumble, how he's defeated Bret Hart, how he's beaten the Undertaker; heck, he even beat Hulk Hogan! Cornette brought up solid points, as Yokozuna was victorious.
The crowd booed as Yokozuna stood up, Mr Fuji climbing into the ring and raising Yoko's hand in victory, as the Japanese mammal decided that poor Scott Taylor wasn't done with yet, as he stomped away at Taylor, before easily tossing him over the top rope and down to the floor! Yokozuna seemed ready to Rumble, tomorrow night! | 00:18 | 5 |
The Royal Rumble report aired, as Dok Hendrix was shown standing in front of various television monitors in the WWF media suite, each monitor presenting action from the World Wrestling Federation superstars. Godwinn, Yokozuna, Hakushi, King Mabel, Zip, the returning Waylon Mercy, Steve Austin, Skip, Bob Holly, Jerry Lawler, Savio Vega, Razor Ramon, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Duke Droese, the Brooklyn Brawler, and four surprise participants! Hendrix talked about the Undertaker having some further comments for Bret Hart, as sent into WWF headquarters last night. We then cut to the graveyard, as the "Deadman" was introduced by Paul Bearer. 'Taker talked about how it's been two years since he last had the WWF Championship almost in his grasp - but he was taken out of the occasion, against his will. It won't be happening again. The Undertaker spoke out on how he's waited and waited for this, and it's clear now that it's happening - against the "Hitman" Bret Hart. 'Taker talked about respect, and how Bret may respect him, but the Undertaker's respect must be earned...he challenged Bret to step up where nobody else has gone before...otherwise, he will rest in peace! Hendrix signed off.
| 00:21 | 6 | "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson def. Matt Hardy [03:07] [+00:01 for Johnson's entrance; +00:01 for aftermath] The "Pearl River Powerhouse" has been stalked as of late by the infamous Waylon Mercy, who has yet to appear in a WWF ring since his return a couple of weeks ago, as Ahmed Johnson here was preparing for the Royal Rumble match tomorrow night, the unbeaten newcomer wanting to gain another victory - and have an impressive starting year in the World Wrestling Federation, by winning his first Rumble, only three months into his career, and going to the main event of WrestleMania XII, challenging for the WWF Championship! Johnson easily disposed of Matt Hardy, putting him out with the Pearl River Plunge! Meanwhile, Johnson's stalker was shown backstage watching a television monitor, Waylon Mercy shown from over shoulder, rocking in a wooden rocking chair, as Mercy appeared to be stalking his prey.
The crowd cheered, as Ahmed Johnson's hand was raised in victory, the "Pearl River Powerhouse" continuing his reign of undefeated dominance in the World Wrestling Federation, racking up another 'W' this morning on Superstars. At that moment however, Waylon Mercy stood up from his rocking chair in the backstage area, Mercy vowing to fertilize the plants, and get rid of the weeds! Mercy let out a maniacal laugh, as Johnson was shown celebrating still, unbeknownst to Mercy's plotting. | 00:25 | - | Commercial Break | 00:29 | 7 | An advertisement aired, promoting the WWF Royal Rumble. Live on pay-per-view, tomorrow night! | 00:30 | 8 | Vince McMahon and Jim Ross welcomed us back to WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, as they discussed the comeback of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels - as Michaels will return tomorrow night at the Royal Rumble, in the 30-man Rumble match - in an effort to fulfill his boyhood dream of being the World Wrestling Federation Champion! James E. Cornette called Michaels dumb, talking about how Camp Cornette will demolish him, even worse than those Marine thugs in Syracuse! Cornette stated that he couldn't wait to see Michaels get his head bashed in by Owen Hart all over again! McMahon said that that remained to be seen, before cutting to the video package of Shawn Michaels in training, preparing for action in the Royal Rumble match - as shown on RAW last Monday. | 00:32 | 9 | Bob Backlund def. Glenn Ruth [02:47] [+00:02 for Backlund's entrance] The recently becoming insane Bob Backlund was in action this morning on Superstars, as Backlund got the better hand against Glenn Ruth quite easily, going right to work on the arm of Ruth, the grizzled veteran poised to get the better hand this Sunday as well, when Backlund teams with the unlikeliest partner in the world, Goldust in action against Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, and Backlund's recent rival, Savio Vega. Speaking of Savio, Vega had comments for Backlund in an insert promo, challenging Backlund to one more match next Saturday morning on Superstars! Backlund managed to put Ruth away with the Chickenwing Crossface.
The crowd booed as Bob Backlund celebrated his win to cheers, as the deranged Backlund refused to have his hand raised in victory by the referee, Backlund instead parading around the ring and leaving to the crowd's disapproval. Meanwhile, James E. Cornette decided to talk up his newest client, the mysterious man they call Vader. | 00:37 | 10 | A vignette aired, hyping up the debut of the man they call Vader! All 400-pounds of Vader is coming to the Royal Rumble! | 00:38 | 11 | The British Bulldog (w/Clarence Mason) def. Chaz Warrington [02:55] [+00:01 for Bulldog's entrance] The runner up to the 1995 Royal Rumble prize, the British Bulldog was in action also this morning on Superstars, as the Bulldog was vexed, in a rage still after losing to Bret Hart at In Your House last month - and also confident in hope of winning the 1996 Royal Rumble match tomorrow night. Chaz Warrington tried to put up a fight, but Bulldog was tougher, and tossed him around like a ragged doll, as James E. Cornette talked up the British member of Camp Cornette on commentary. Bulldog managed to put Chaz away with the Running Powerslam for the victory. Bulldog also had some comments from an insert promo perspective, as he talked about how close he came last year, just to be stopped by the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels - but it wouldn't happen again this year, stating that the Year of the Bulldog was coming, in 1996!
The crowd booed as the British Bulldog celebrated his victory, as James E. Cornette got up to his feet, clapping for one of his clients, as Clarence Mason joined the Bulldog in the ring. Dok asked for Diesel's comments on his match tonight, and why he interrupted the Undertaker and Bret Hart's WWF Championship confrontation last Monday night on RAW. Diesel responded, telling Dok that everybody knows that the "Deadman" doesn't deserve that WWF Championship shot, and that he should be next in line, because he never got his rematch! Diesel talked about how he's looking forward to putting his foot in Jerry's mouth, since the "King" seems to put his own foot in his mouth so much. But more importantly, if Gorilla Monsoon wants to put a lasso on him, and take away everything about him that makes him what he is, "Big Daddy Cool" will not be cool anymore. Diesel talked about how the Royal Rumble match - there will be every man for himself, and that Diesel would win it, and that way, he will cement his WWF Championship opportunity! | 00:44 | - | Commercial Break | 00:48 | 13 | We returned to WWF Saturday Morning Superstars, as Jerry "The King" Lawler was shown wandering around in the ring, as his music was playing and the crowd were booing, Lawler talking into the microphone about how every single member of the crowd are morons, and that they all doubt that royalty like himself can be World Wrestling Federation Champion, let alone Royal Rumble winner! Lawler vowed to win the Rumble for himself, because he's the "King", and the king is royal! The crowd chanted "Burger King" at Jerry, when suddenly the theme of "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel hit, triggering the arrival of Diesel to a big mixed reaction! Diesel hit the ring, not a happy look on his face, as he was ready for action in our main event! | 00:50 | 14 | "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel def. Jerry "The King" Lawler [06:23] [+00:01 for aftermath] These two WWF superstars, both a part of tomorrow night's Royal Rumble match were vying for some last minute momentum, as in just over twenty four hours, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel and Jerry "The King" Lawler compete in the 1996 Royal Rumble match! Diesel managed to get the better side of Lawler, managing to throw him around the ring with quite a lot of ease, Jerry having to escape the scene and hide away at ringside at several points in this match. Diesel then got caught in a trap by Lawler, the color commentator managing to low blow Diesel as the referee was out of position. Jerry soon started keeping the big man down, mocking the former World Wrestling Federation Champion with boastful tears, before Diesel soon made a comeback, starting when Jerry stupidly attempted the Piledriver, Diesel backdropping him! Diesel proceeded to follow up with a big boot, and then got a hold of Lawler, dropping him down 7-feet with the Jackknife Powerbomb!
The crowd gave Diesel an applause, as the tweenering "Big Daddy Cool" was set for combat in tomorrow night's Royal Rumble match, as WWF Saturday Morning Superstars went off the air. | 00:57 |
