I think those problems exist everywhere. There really is no hobby left without a toxic base. I see repack figures all the time on store shelves, or figures just opened with stolen accessories. Also if your not the first person to see a new case at a store you have no hope of getting the desired figures. Then wait a month for them to show up again. Nature of the beast. For all the back stock issues u hear about woth Target and Walmart it sure doesn't seem to impact toys as most stores have not restocked in well over a month I live out west, but check other states out frequently to see what they're getting and I feel bad for you guys sometimes especially with the amount of scalpers and swappers I see you deal with. I've never had a hard time searching in my area and definitely have not seen any swapping. I know wrestling is much bigger out east in this country so that probably has a lot to do with it, but man, it must get old dealing with people that pull this kind of crap. Very frustrating when you spend your hard earned money to support a hobby when scalpers and thieves are deterring fans old and young. I always try to show toy department people or managers the swapped packages. I only ever notice it with wrestling figures.

I'm sure it's similarly present in other locales, but I think it's the overall size of the region that makes it look more prevalent here. Someone with around 3 hours to kill "hunting" could easily hit 10 to 12 Target stores in a general round trip across two states around here.
It doesn't help that at least one semi-frequent user of this thread is a very active re-seller who likes to play dumb to try and get the scoop on new releases here. It makes it so hard to want to come here and share findings, knowing that he's waiting around to jump on them first for the 83% markup.

Due to the inflation you mentioned people are buying far less than we used to so most stores are overstocked with basically whatever you're looking for. Making it very easy to find 99% of figures so most people don't have to turn to FeeBay to get what they want like we often used to. Because of that scalpers are buying less and less leaving the shelves fully stocked.

Liberty Tree Target had the usual Mean Marks, but to my surprise two chase Edges. Also (E92, I think) Flair and Charlotte. Plenty of the Love and Thunder wave and Ragnaroks, on the Marvel Legends side of things.
Picked up Raquel and Steamboat (non chase) at Nicks.
North Shore Gamestop had five or six of the Mankind Funko Pop lunchboxes.

Anybody finding Legends 15 yet? Saugus had a few Stacy's and one Kane and one Xpac(which I grabbed). Looked like they had just restocked and had been raided.

I randomly found 2 Royal Rumble Dakota Kais at the Target in Stoneham last week. Bought one for myself. The other, unsurprisingly, has already been sold on eBay (not by me). Same paint defects that caused me to leave it behind and everything.

Any Legends 16 around? I saw on a FB group someone was selling the Acolytes outta Billerica. Haven't seen them. I went to Danvers Target because they were showing 7 UE Savages on Popfindr the other day (which tells me two cases, one sold), but didn't have any luck. Huge toy dept. pallets on the floor, with some boxes closed with red tamper-evident tape saying do not open until 10/2, which might've been some of the items in question. My Savage shipped as I was leaving, so it didn't matter anyway. The store did have some signs of E94...I grabbed one of two Mace figures, and they had both of the MSK guys.

I can't remember where (I do a lot of mileage across MA and NH), but in one week, I've seen signs of E94, E95, and E96. Mattel's just churning them out.

Mattel's just churning them out. what gets me is there’s like a 6 month period with no new elite waves at retail and then all of a sudden there’s like 3-4 waves hitting within the span of a month
