Figured I’d start a new one for us… this is the third one since I’ve been here. Everyone be cool please. Nothing new to report, retail has been the pits lately.

Oh and Thrashard not sure if you saw in the other thread but I was wondering if you've been around Somerville Kmart lately. Wanted to see how the price on those entrance stages was lookin.

Retail around here is just a big waste of time lately. Took a ride to Tewksbury on lunch to try Kmart and Walmart. Kmart had the same usual pegwarmers - Cena, Shaemus, R-Truth, etc. and a couple of E18 Mysterios that will probably sit there for another 2 years. Walmart had nothing as well, just E18 Brodus and Mysterio, with some signature series remnants for basics. This is why I resorted to buying E21 Honky Tonk Man online. Its getting to a point where I can't bothered to waste my time, gas and energy. I've only been doing this figure hunting a few months and I am already getting a bit burnt out because of how bad retail is for these.

I actually went today during lunch… they had a bunch and they were ringing up as $50! So weird that they reduced them only to $40 for a short time… didn’t move any at that price so now they are $50 again. I don’t get it. They had nothing figure wise either. A while ago when I found the Big Show w/ IC title at Kmart a lady there was saying that was all they were getting until May… I didn’t know what she meant, but Kmart hasn’t restocked since the end of March I feel like, I figured May would be their month remembering what she said, but nothing yet.

I completely understand you man, I made this almost same exact post a few months ago when I was burnt out at retail and I started paying slightly higher prices online for things. I wasn’t even collecting last summer, is the summer a horrible time for hunting at retail for all you experts?

Obviously more often than not you are going to leave stores empty handed, that's just the nature of this hobby. They don't call it hunting for nothing. But lately it seems like literally no place has anything even remotely interesting and I keep waiting for places to restock, but they don't seem to be doing it with any sort of consistency. Looks like I'll just have to wait until the holiday season for stores to be stocked like they were when I was a kid.

I too just made a deal for a HTM here on the boards because I highly dought ill ever find it in stores. The amount of scalping and new collectors in general has made it nearly impossible to find a full shelf anymore.

I don’t blame anyone who can get a decent price for Honky online, $30 or under I’d say, but don’t pay anything over that. The series hasn’t even hit retail, I would give it some time. Trust me when E20 first hit I actually thought about paying $40 for Jericho, now I see it everywhere. I can’t picture him being harder to find than Jericho but I guess you just never know… I really haven’t seen Tensai or Sandow basics aside from the day I got em which is strange.

I've been collecting for a year or so and I think during the holidays stores and online sites are heavily stocked but come spring, summer ,fall things get pretty dry for fig hunting I've got a few big finds of mine lately through online sites cause stores are so bare that I hate to waste the gas to see nothing or even worse power slammers...can't wait for the new warrior rumbler tho!!

Toy vault sells a lot of vintage (star wars old tnmt my little pony) action figures/toys and some new ones like wwe and monster High etc and they seem to get there shipment or two before most retail stores around here ,but back to the hunt after about a month of ordering online loli hope to find new bp22 soon and e21. I have feelin honky is gonna b hard to find like Nash n Liz .. If I find any of these ill b Sure to post here n show pics ....my lady got a job near Boston so now I can have her check those stores out that way before she heads home now the hunt continues, also i just called toy vault in attleboro and the guy said they have the whole e21 set but someone just bought both honky tonks ... like really wtf ,bet one will b on the bay for steep price but he did say everyone else was there still !!
