What are some things Mattel keep doing that you want changed?
Sheamus' hair colour. Elite 8 was perfect, now he has dark red hair? Since when did he have that colour hair? Leg sleevees of doom. These are so annoying, especially on people who clearly wear smaller pads. Props to them on fixing E20 Rhodes though. Facial hair. They seem to be terrible at doing stubble or beards, look at B24 Punk's head, it's a solid colour, no texture at all.
No, this isn't a post to bash Mattel either, their positives far outweigh their negatives.
Also cue someone saying "They keep making John Cena/Randy Orton/Rey Mysterio figures."

They keep making John Cena/Randy Orton/Rey Mysterio figures.
More jobbers and more Elite Miz's.

facial hair is the big one. one day they will get the hang of it though. or does is not fall within the budget to be that accurate? not insulting, just know they have a budget to work within for all the figures they put out....

Putting CM Punk's "31" tattoo on the side of his neck instead of behind his ear. Knee pads not being bendable enough. It's hard to pose the figures sometimes.

everything they do wrong has to do with hair.....strange.
sheamus' hair/facial hair orton's beards before the new scan punk's hair being jet black most other guys' hair being jet black when it's not in life
other than that a few wrong part choices here and there (B29 Austin's pants, ryback being skinny)

Short boots on Randy Savage Basic figures when they have tall ones.
Everything that has been said above about hair
Skinny arms and legs on Austin
....can't think of anything else because I keep looking at that AJ .gif

And distribution. Can Target get a more consistent distribution package for their stores?

The scale and proportions. At first they were pretty great, apart from making basic Swaggers tiny for the first two and a half years. But there are just so many weirdly-proportioned figures now: Rock, Austin, Ryback, Rhodes, Ziggler, and the list goes on... Just such wrong part choices on them.
Facial hair always seems to be problematic for them.
Quality control on paintjobs and joints that are too loose/tight. Alignment of tight designs on elite figures.

They just need to be a little bit more careful with the paint jobs but I think they are doing the best job they can do.

Making silly excuses that don't make sense.
"We won't make CM Punk in the pink and black attire because he only wore it twice."
Well I only remember Rey wearing his Flash attire once, his Avatar attire once, HBK only wore his white WM attires once...these guys got figures made of them.

The skinny hourglass torso for the Elites of Punk, Miz, Bryan, etc. I have never understood, since the body sculpts are created via computer, why the basic and Elite sculpts are different. Make one sculpt solid and then take the same sculpt and tool it with the elite ab crunch. Doesn't that sound easy? I don't know why that hasn't happened. Basic Punk, Miz, Bryan, etc. all look fine.
Facial hair. Basic Two-packs series 1 Santino and B21 Mason Ryan are the only two figures with well painted stubble? That's a bad ratio. The sharpie beards on guys like Justin Gabriel and B24 Punk just don't cut it. Also, the newest Punk scan is good, but with his head shaved they have him jet black when it should be brown because it's so short.
Eyebrow application. Why is it hard to hit the mark? This isn't an isolated problem. There are plenty of examples of figures where the entire run has them wrong. B19 Justin Gabriel, B19 Hornswoggle, E14 and E16 Rock, B22 Christian, and the list goes on.
I like Mattel a lot, but with quality control slipping, I am looking at other toy lines that are not raking in the cash like Mattel and their #1 Boy's toy brand in America that do QC so much better. Only having two to three figures in a toy wave every quarter is probably saving production costs for NECA, but it can't be that much, and yet NECA has premium quality paint apps, and I can get a Gears of War figure for the same price as a basic at TRU ($12.99). Mattel used to have nice clean apps. Now you have to hunt high and low to get a figure who's eyes are both looking in the same direction, with eyebrows on the sculpted line, and no slop and stray marks all over.
