Afternoon TRU Pickups 5/8 - Photos

Had a crappy day at work - when my son said "can we go to Toys R Us" I replied with "buckle up...."

After posting last night about how crappy the selection has been around here, I was pleasantly surprised to find the new World Champions Basic set as well as the complete BOPPV collection - including Christian!

I struck a deal with my son - I would buy him Sheamus & Christian - he would pay half - he can keep the IC belt, but I get to keep Laurinitis... he didn't like my terms but he's four years old - he had no choice to agree...

Christian's actually a very nice figure... starting to wish I'd re-negotiated my terms... and I still want that belt...

I only allowed myself to get two of the Basics figures - tough choice, but another CM Punk is a must-buy for me... nice figure, there were several on the shelf...



My son really wanted Christian - I've never been that big of a Christian fan, but I must admit - this is a nice figure...



I really don't like Sheamus - but he was the only one of the four build-a-John Laurinitis figures I needed at this point - so I figured, what the heck... and I'm again surprised, this is an excellent figure...



My second selection from the Basics is Ultimate Warrior (yes, I'm a sucker for legends). I like the way this figure is kind of an homage to his Hasbro original.... nice touch, Mattel.



So, I wasn't planning to buy this set, but I now have all the pieces of John Laurinitis... my son was quite excited to help me build him...



I highly recommend checking out at Customer Service... the girl rang up my WWE purchases, then pulled this out - she said the promotion was over but she just found a few more..... very nice for my collection... it's an 8X11....



Finally, I bought this last weekend, but never posted it - they put four of the Wrestlemania 29 chairs out on the floor at K Mart. $100 - am I stupid for paying that much for it? I went to the event, and didn't get a chair... I consider this a great souvenir, just not sure I should have spent that much on it... oh well, I have it now, so I guess I'll enjoy it...



Turned into a great afternoon of figure hunting, unexpected! Thanks for looking!

And the chair was a solid purchase. I paid $89, as someone gave me their promo code. It's an excellent piece for your WM 29 display.

Sheamus colour choice is great, makes it stand out. The chair I would have paid $100 easy, it's really cool.

great pick ups! awesome your son is into collecting too. my daughter is gunna be 3 in june, she loves to play with them. my step son is 11 and he has a bunch of figs, more than me actually, lol. he's big into wrestling as i am, and come hell or high water, imma make a fan out of my baby girl. step daughter, not so much. it's all one direction and monster high for her. damn her being the expensive one, LOL.

wow nice stuff. I was at Mania as well in the 100's section but never went through buying the K-Mart chair. Perhaps I'd get one if I saw it in store though...

They were near the action figures, but not in the action figures row - they were out in the main aisle where people walk... if that helps.... I walked right past them the first time and almost missed them!

I say thats a pretty good deal! I wouldve kept Christian and the title myself but Big Johnny is a fantastic fig! Enjoy them mate!

I want that freakin WARRIOR!!! I went to TRU last week and they had the punk and christian but I didn't see any Series 29 figures. IV GOT TO HAVE THAT WARRIOR! Going to check tomorrow.
