So, Jeremy Clements got suspended. And it's bull****. I saw. And all the crap that we end up hearing Kyle Busch say on his radio and he gets nothing. I understand being punished but an indefinite suspension? What did he even say?

I heard about this and saw an article but it was like 2 pages. Can someone find out and post it?

Apparently some guy was interviewing him and asked him what the "guy code" for his fellow race car drivers were and he somehow referred to "the N-Word"...Because of the way he said "Was it racial or not? Maybe not in context, but in term?" Clements replied: "Correct."....Im assuming he said something like "Oh they drivers, they're my ni**as" or something along those lines. Technically something that's not politically correct but also something you'll hear just about any time you're around a large number of African Americans (at least in my case)

"indefinite suspension"
Basically per Nascar he's automatically suspended 2 races because of the remark. He has to go to some kind of Speech therapy school or something to basically become politically correct. He'll be back racing but it might take a month or so. Is it kinda dumb? Of course but at the same time...I can kinda understand the reasoning behind it. "Racial slurs" are really becoming and sensitive area in general. I really think its silly that a race (any race) can refer to themselves in a racist term but if another race does it, the race card gets pulled.

I understand being punished but an indefinite suspension? What did he even say? You know what's bull****? The comparison you just made between Kyle Busch's radio and Jeremy Clements comments. I understand that you don't like Kyle Busch, but let's use logical thinking. Kyle Busch's swearing on the team radio is VERY different from someone dropping the n-word in public, at a NASCAR track, in front of a NASCAR PR representative. The comparison is bull**** especially since you only name dropped Kyle Busch and not the 42 other drives who do the same thing on their radio. I think NASCAR should kill all access to driver radio by fans and the media since everyone gets their underwear in a bunch over it. If you think that anyone at any job would've gotten away with dropping the "n-word", you're crazy.

I just think the fact he got suspended for something he said in a private conversation, not in an interview or in front of fans or on his radio, is a little too far, and what he said wasn't hateful or disparaging against anyone, he used a common phrase in the south. I know I've heard "Negro" Rigged a ton in my life. Maybe because I grew up with it (and I'm sure Jeremy grew up with it too) it seems tame to me and us, but I'm sure people who didn't grow up with it wouldn't find it tame.
I just find the suspension a bit too far.

When Kyle Busch is mentioned, you're like Johnny Cochran with OJ Simpson. You're the quickest to defend him and you get the more offended than anyone else on this board when someone talks negative about a driver. You kiss his ass like no one else does. So don't come at me and cry "use logical thinking here".

Everyone does it, even the almighty Jimmie. Hell, even the almighty Jimmie flips the bird mid race. Everyone gets mad at some point. It just means they're human. And after 800 engine failures, you can't blame Kyle Busch for being a little grumpy.

Kyle Busch and his attitude were the first thing that popped into my head when thinking about drivers with attitudes and use of language on the radio. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would think of Kyle first. I know not every race is gonna be perfect and go exactly to plan.

Comparing someone being pissed after a bad day to someone dropping the "n-word" in front of NASCAR PR people is illogical. You can hate him, want him to fall off the top of a building, doesn't matter to me... but do it logically. And yeah, when dumbass comparisons are made... you're damn right I will "defend" him. Do it logically and we have no problem. It's all good though. I'm use to taking bulls*** for being a Kyle Busch fan, that's fine. Doesn't bother me in the slightest that you don't like him, but don't make illogical comments.

Mears cost Jr. this one. Unbiased view, I firmly believe that. He cut Jr. off on pit road and Edwards won the race off pit road on that last caution. And the spinning the wheels on the restart didn't help but didn't hurt him that much.
That said I am still happy with a 5th place finish and.he's still 2nd in points. Onto Sin City next week.

I have to agree about Jr. then again if he still spins the tires Edwards flies by anyway.

It wasn't like Casey cut Junior off on purpose though. He [Casey] can't just stop on pit road and let Junior go, haha.

Anyone see Denny Hamlin got fined 25,000 for saying the new car races like crap? He siad he wasn't paying the fine, talking to media and don't care if he gets suspended. I kinda hope he sticks to his guns on this. It is stupid they fined him for that.
