Prime Time Wrestling, November 30th, 1987 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" Heenan
Hightlights of some of the matches from the Survivor Series. Gorilla: What an event that was, but Brain...I must say what an underhand trick you and Mr. Dibiase pulled on Hulk Hogan with Bam Bam Bigelow. Heenan: What trick? There was no trick. Gorilla: No trick? This alliance between you and Dibiase, I don't see it lasting very long. Heenan: And what makes you say that? Gorilla: Because you've already spent all his money he gave you. Heenan: What are you talking about? Gorilla: The suit you're wearing today, you wore it last weak. Can't you see Brain, he's got Bigelow and Muraco under pay, he's co-managing Andre and from what I've heard your managing contract is coming to an end soon. Sooner or later the Heenan Family will no longer be the strongest family in the WWF and Andre will be completely under Dibiase's payroll. Heenan: Hulk Hogan got what he deserved and Bigelow did the right thing, who needs friends when you got money? Gorilla: How nice of you to ignore this Brain, well folks next edition of Saturday Night's Main Event will be shown on NBC on December 12th. The showing will feature all your favorite superstars and guess what Brain? Heenan: I don't guess. Gorilla: I've been told that the WWF will have an exclusive interview with Hulk Hogan in his home at Venice Beach and of course the big one, the main event that night will be Andre the Giant, who will be defending the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship against the current Intercontinental Champion, Macho Man Randy Savage. This is going to be a good one Brain. Heenan: Randy doesn't stand a chance, he'll be squashed as soon as he enters the ring and besides, why hasn't he put the Intercontinental Championship on the line? He has nothing to lose. Gorilla: Also in action, King Honkey Tonk Man will be taking on the former King, Harley Race as well as Bam Bam Bigelow will be taking on Jim Duggen. Bret "the Hitman" Hart will be in singles action against Jake the Snake Roberts. Heenan: What about the Slammy's Gorilla, you can't forget about that. Gorilla: Why don't you tell all those fine folks at home about it? Heenan: It's about time, this year's Slammy Awards is being taken in a whole new direction. We're talking about awards from Superstar of the Year to Rookie of the Year. Heck I can't wait to be awarded Manager of the Year, after all I am managing the Heavyweight Champion. Gorilla: You mean co-managing. Heenan: Sure, the 37th Annual Slammy Awards will be held at Caesar's Atlantic City and will be shown on December 19th on NBC. We also have a celebrity guest host, oh I'm not talking about that slimeball Roddy Piper. Piper, you're not even invited. Gorilla: Oh give me a break, to promote the smash hit film "Three Men and a Little Baby" that is out in theaters as we speak, actor Tom Selleck will be hosting the Slammy Awards. Have you seen the film yet Brain? I can't wait to catch it this Friday night. Heenan: I'll see any movie without Piper in it. Gorilla: That's Brain for you.

Saturday Night's Main Event, December 12th, 1987 (Dec 7th Taped) Capital Center, Landover, MD (Attendance: 13,000 Sold Out) Announcers: Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura Jake the Snake Roberts def. Bret Hart via pinfall Bam Bam Bigelow (with Dibiase and Virgil) def. Jim Duggen via pinfall Harley Race (with Mr. Wonderful) def. King Honkey Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) via disqualificationThe Hulk Hogan Interview:Vince McMahon is in Hulk Hogan's den, Hulk is in a black t-shirt (that promotes a fitness club) and jeans and Vince is in a suit. Vince: I want to thank you for taking this time Hulk Hogan to conduct this interview. Hulk: (soft voice) You're always welcome to my home Vince. Vince: Hulk Hogan, I must ask how have you been coping since the Survivor Series? Hulk: I requested some time off from President Tunney and he granted it to me. So it's been great spending time with the family and it's given me a lot of time to think. Vince: It was a shocking turn of events when your friend Bam Bam Bigelow, turned on you to help Andre the Giant gain a pin over you. Everyone wants to know, what is going on in your mind? Hulk: Well you know Vince, I've been in this business for a long time. Some people are in it for the money, they saw the power of Hulkamania and they want a piece of the popularity you know? Bam Bam was one of those guys that you would invite to your home. The night before Survivors Series, he was in my home for a Thanksgiving dinner. I just never thought he was capable of that, the guy wanted to be under my wing, but we all know the real reason why. Vince: You've had your share of betrayals in your career, you've seen the jealousy and even hatred, but this one seems to have effect you the most, why so? Hulk: Not so much Vince, this was more like the icing on the cake, the cake being Andre the Giant man. Andre was my hero for years, I wanted to be like him, he was a good friend of mine and I always looked up to him and respected him. If you had told me a year ago that Andre and I were going to lock up in the ring, I thought you'd gone mad. But we all know the truth, we all know what he was after and he got what he want. Vince: How is your training with Piper going? Hulk: It's on hold for now, it was great for a while. He taught me a lot man. Vince: Piper is issuing out a challenge to Andre the Giant, will you support his decision? Hulk: I do and I will, I will be there by his side...all the way. That's what good friends do. They support each other. You know sometimes you love someone and you end up hating them, and sometimes you hate someone so much, that they end up being the one there for you. It's a strange world, but it's life. Vince: Very true, but we all need to know, when is Hulk Hogan going to make a return to the ring? Hulk: At this time Vince, I'm not sure. I don't know if I got the heart right now to step into the ring. The WWF has been good to me and I want to take this time to really think about my life, my career and my family. Vince: Are you planning on retirement? Hulk: (long pause), you know Vince I haven't thought about that one. Vince: Many of the viewers out there want to know if you would return to get your revenge on Bam Bam Bigelow? Hulk: In the past I would have said yes, but now, I don't know. Vince: Some are saying that you are afraid? Hulk: I'm not. Vince: Hulk, any words for your Hulkamaniacs out there? Hulk: Say your prayers, eat your vitamins and train hard. Anything you do, school, work, be sure to enjoy what your doing too. Because the truth is, I love being a WWF Superstar, I love being at the top and this isn't goodbye, I promise, I love all you Hulkamaniacs (tearful) and I do miss you all...every day. Vince: Thank you Hulk for this opportunity. Jesse cries with sarcasm and says that Hulk is such a cry baby and Gorilla says that Jesse does a good impression of himself when he's feeling emotional. Main Event: Andre the Giant (c-World) vs. Macho Man Randy Savage (c-IC) for the WWF Heavyweight Championship
Macho Man enters the ring to a pop with Miss Elizabeth who is holding unto the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Out comes Andre with Heenan to big heat as they slowly enter the ring. Before the match starts (the IC title now in the hands of a referee), Ted Dibiase and Virgil make there way out and kidnap Miss Elizabeth, taking her to the back. Macho Man can't believe what he just saw and as he is about to leave the ring, Andre grabs a hold of him, the bell rings and Andre hits a headbutt, making Randy fall to the mat. Andre body slams Randy hard, tosses him to a corner and squashes him with his back. Randy is out cold. Andre drags Randy's body in the middle of the ring and goes to the ropes for a running splash till Randy gets out of the way and out of the ring. Andre leaves the ring as well (he was lucky not to go for the splash). Randy tries to make it to the back, but Andre grabs a hold of his hair and tosses him back to the ring. Andre is at the ropes till Randy is able to jump for Andre's neck to impact on the ropes. Andre is on the ground outside of the ring, Randy goes to the top rope and hits a double axe handle to Andre who enters the ring in pain. Randy goes to the top rope again and in the ring, hits another double axe handle to Andre who is about to fall on the ground. Randy goes to another corner to the top rope till Heenan pushes him to a fall on the canvas. Andre hits an elbow drop for the pin. Randy's leg is on the ropes to break the count at two. Andre tries to hit another elbow drop till Randy gets out of the way. Andre is down and in pain. Randy goes to the top rope and the crowd is on there feet, he hits the elbow drop on Andre for the pin but Heenan is out hanging on the ropes, distracting the referee. The crowd has already counted to three, but the referee is too busy arguing with Heenan. Gorilla: "This one's over ref." Randy is up, gets a hold of the referee, but Andre is already on his knees. Randy goes to the top rope, instead of going after Andre he knocks down Bobby Heenan (who had no idea) with a double axe handle. Andre leaves ringside to look over Heenan, while Randy makes a run for the back. The referee counts to a Double Countout. Gorilla says this is the first time that Andre has not won a match, but Jesse reiterates that it's not a real loss but a draw in the record books. Gorilla says it's a first for Andre. Backstage, Randy is screaming out for Dibiase and Elizabeth. He goes mad to the point that he attacks a few wrestlers backstage, including Rick Martel and even Jim Duggen. Elizabeth runs into him and hugs him. Randy screams out where Dibiase is. She says to forget about it and he asks if she's okay, she says she's just fine. Andre leaves with the WWF Heavyweight Championship held high and an injured Heenan by his side.

Tom gets on stage and talks about his movie and says he's happy to be here. Roddy Piper makes a scene at the event and says how can the WWF forget about him, a WWF Superstar turned movie star? Piper controls the stage as Tom leaves the stage disappointed (he was booked for the intro only). Piper says he wants a title shot against Andre the Giant. Piper says he found something hilarious that he wanted to show everyone. He shows a clip of Bobby Heenan singing "Stand Back" at a Karoake (originally was meant for Vince to sing a music video, but for comic appeal decided Heenan was to do it). He said he got the tape from his friend Jake the Snake. Piper calls for the presenters. Piper says he's excited about the next award, and that he pushed for this man to come out tonight. Hulk Hogan appears to a big pop (in a suit and tie). Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Hulk Hogan - Winner: Superstar Billy GrahamBefore Hulk leaves the stage (Graham already left), Heenan is on stage with Andre, complaining that the award should go to Andre. Hulk says he doesn't want any trouble and that he's only here for the show. Suddenly Bam Bam Bigelow runs out and rams his trophy over Hogan's head. Hogan is on the floor as Piper gets in Andre's face (security is out and Bam Bam is told to leave the place). Piper says to Hulk who is up, that it's time to face reality and return to the ring. Hulk says he'll think about it and will have an answer soon and leaves with security. Manager of the Year presented by Mean Gene - Winner: Miss Elizabeth (Heenan rushes out in an outrage and says that she wasn't even nominated and that he single handedly had Hogan lose the Championship. Dibiase is out and says he deserves to win. Heenan and Dibiase are in an arguement but Andre stops them as they leave when Macho Man is out to protect Elizabeth) Humanitarian of the Year Award - Winner: Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase (for giving the cheque to charity via Hulk Hogan) Piper says he has never seen such an award show this wild. He says before the Superstar of the Year Award is presented he has special music video to present ("If you only knew" performed by several WWF Superstars). Superstar of the Year Award presented by Hillbilly Jim.Ted Dibiase walks out and hands over some money to Hillbilly Jim (calling him a yellow-belly farmer) as Jim leaves confused with a bunch of cash in his hands (Virgil escorts him). Dibiase says he would like to thank the wWF for the award till Piper stops him and says he didn't get the award. Ted says to back off till Piper grabs a hold of the card and reads it out to be Macho Man Randy Savage. Macho Man attacks Dibiase from behind, Ted runs away as Macho receives the award from Piper. Macho says that last week he was about to become the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion. He says fate has its way and that it only means that Piper will get his shot at Andre and that he'll have to get his revenge on Dibiase. Show ends with Piper making jokes and says he wants to thank Tom for giving him the spot and that he'll see him in hollywood.

Superstars of Wrestling, January 16th, 1988 Tampa, Florida Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse VenturaSnake's Pit - Jake says he wants to bring Hulk Hogan out and that Piper has ensured that Hogan will be here for his show. He calls him out and Hulk doesn't arrive. He says that maybe Hogan is a big coward and all the vitamins and minerals and protein shakes went to his head and not to his heart. Suddenly Hulk Hogan walks out (with his traditional Red and Yellow). Hulk: A coward Jake? A coward is one who hides behind others, a coward is a man who breaks his bonds of friendship. Jake: Glad to see you back Hulk. Hulk: I'm glad to be back and thanks to Rowdy Roddy Piper, he's a survivor man, he doesn't give up on anything and on anybody and thanks to him and the big guy upstairs that I'm back, better than ever. Jake: First question I gotta ask, I gotta ask, I've wondered these past few months now, see I've noticed that you are now eligible to challenge Andre the Giant for the World Championship, and I'm wondering, are you going to issue out a challenge to the big man? Hulk: You see Jake there's a problem man Jake: Piper right? Hulk: No brother, I'm glad he's going for the title and I'll be there to support him and when he wins, I'll be there to congratulate him. But before I go after Andre, before I take a new road to destiny brother, I've got a roadblock ahead of me. I've got the nearly four-hundred pound of fire ahead of me from the depths of hell. Jake: So let me get this straight, you are issuing out a challenge to Bam Bam Bigelow? Hulk: I've been getting all the letters from my Hulkamaniacs, they're all asking saying "Hulk when are you getting back and getting revenge on Bigelow" well I say to you all that I am issuing out a challenge to Bam Bam Bigelow. I challenge you Bam Bam Bigelow to a means to your end, this isn't about me losing man, this isn't about betrayal, this is about Hulkamania running wild as it always has been, this is about destiny brother and whether you win or lose, just as long as you try man, just as long as you know that you've given it your all...Hulkamania will live forever brother. That's what makes it special. Jake: What is the gameplan brother, I mean people are saying the diving headbutt is the most devastating move they've seen in a long time especially from a guy of his size and caliber. Hulk: I've been training harder, harder then ever man, even as Roddy Piper is out in Hollywood man, I visited him and he's been taking me to places I could never have imagined. I've seen things you wouldn't believe and he's been making me hit the gym like never before. Just look at these pythons (shows his arms to the camera), there bigger and larger than ever. So when I get in the ring with you Bam Bam, it won't just be your end man, it'll be a new beginning brother and after I'm done with you, I'm coming after you Andre the Giant. I'm coming after you! (tears his shirt, poses and leaves). Later in the show, Macho Man Randy Savage in a promo in response to Ted Dibiase's offer, says that you can't put a price on the Intercontinental Championship and that he'll have to take it from him in the ring. Vince and Jesse talk the Royal Rumble. Also, an answer from Bam Bam Bigelow to Hulk's challenge and a contract signing between Andre the Giant and Rowdy Roddy Piper is on its way.

Bigelow: (walks in) Steamboat is a nobody, but Hulk Hogan (laughs) Gene: Bam Bam Bigelow, Hulk Hogan has issued out a challenge to you and we need to know what is your response? Bigelow: My response? Response? (gets angry) just as you saw tonight Hulk Hogan, when I finish you off in the ring and crash the most powerful forehead in the universe "brother" (with sarcasm) over you, the ref will count one...two...three. Oh and that turkey, wow horrible cooking. And Gene, get a new suit seriously, I know a guy, he's got a lot of money. Gene: Get outta here (Bigelow leaves laughing), there you have it folks, Bam Bam Bigelow has accepted Hulk Hogan's challenge to a match. Contract Signing with President Jack Tunney:A new Heavyweight Championship Belt has been redesigned (the winged eagle belt) and displayed in-front of Tunney. Ted Dibiase and Virgil walk out to the ring with Andre the Giant. Tunney asks where Heenan is and Dibiase says that he just signed a new temporary managing contract with Andre the Giant this morning and is now managing the Heavyweight Champion of the World till Wrestlemania 4. Tunney calls out Rowdy Roddy Piper. Piper walks out alone to a massive pop (with a handbag), everyone is on there feet as he enters the ring with a big smirk over his face and sits across from Andre. Tunney: Let's get started, gentlemen. I believe that you have both had a chance earlier on to review the contract. Piper: (low tone) how are you doing Andre (laughs), how about a handshake, man to man (Andre doesn't respond). I see how it is, what happened to you man, a year ago you accepted a trophy on my own show and here we are (Andre smiles but says nothing). Tunney: Mr. Piper, may you proceed. Piper: Andre first. Tunney: Very well, Andre will you sign this please. Ted Dibiase: Before we sign, let me remind you Piper that if you lose the match, it means that you could never return to the World Wrestling Federation as a competitor (crowd boos). Piper: Just sign the damn thing. Andre: [takes his time, stares at Piper and finally signs it] Here you go Mr. Piper, just sign the end of your life away (laughs). Piper: [grabs a hold of the contract and pen] This is great (starts to laugh), I don't think you know who you're messing with oh man you forget who I am [grabs a bottle from his handbag], how about we share a drink wouldn't you say? It's from France [laughs then bashes it over his own head and starts to bleed and speaks up with rage] Who do you think I am Andre, who do you think I am Andre? I may be busy with Hollywood man but you ain't seen nothing yet (laughs) oh Andre you forget where my heart is, I bleed, I sweat for this business, I live and love it more than you would know and I've never been pinned to the mat for over a decade. Yeah you heard me Andre! Not from Hogan, not from Macho Man not from the cheese man down the street, so you gotta climb that ladder higher to reach to where I've been, because you've lived in the depths of hell for far too long. Tunney: Mr. Piper, please you're bleeding, we are live here (takes a hanky out and passes it to Piper who wipes his head). Piper: Live (laughs) On February 5th Andre the Giant, you'll finally know why they call me the Rowdy one [signs contract]. Andre immediately gets up and bashes Piper's head over the table. Andre is ready to attack Piper but Dibiase makes him stop and they leave the ring. Royal Rumble Main Event Result (20 Man Battle Royal) - Bret Hart was first, Bad News Brown was second, Jim Duggan was third. Jake the Snake Roberts entered the ring at No. 11, he brought out Damien in the middle of the ring for a few to run out and get eliminated. Bad News Brown, Jim Duggan and Jake the Snake are the last three left, Duggen throws out Bad News till Bad News in a rage enters the ring and throws Duggan out for Jake to win the first Royal Rumble to end the night. He says he is the greatest Intercontinental Champion and that this is his third title. New WWF Intercontinental Champion: Don MuracoSingles Match: Hulk Hogan vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (with Virgil)Bam Bam Bigelow walks out to the ring to huge heat with Virgil by his side. "Eye of the Tiger" music begins to a huge pop and Hulk Hogan runs out (now billed at 320 pounds from previous 303 pounds) and enters the ring and starts to attack Bam Bam as the bell rings. Hogan rams him to a corner and tosses him to another corner, Hulk goes to the ropes and hits a massive clothesline on Bigelow who ends up on the canvas. Hulk starts to hype the crowd and gets a hold of Bigelow who is on his knees, but Bigelow hits a low blow and bodyslams Hulk Hogan. The referee starts screaming at him and gives him a warning (Jesse claims he was trying to bodyslam). Bigelow grabs a hold of Hogan and hits a piledriver for the pin to two. Bigelow has Hogan up and tosses him to the ropes for a scoop slam. Bigelow signals the fans that it's over and goes to the top rope. Ready to hit the diving headbutt, Hulk gets up quickly and scoop slams him from the top rope. Hogan decides to go to the top rope himself (unorthodox for him) and manages to hit a double axe handle on Bigelow. Hogan easily bodyslams Bigelow and goes to the ropes when Virgil grabs a hold of Hogan. Hogan is angry and gets outside of the ring. He grabs unto Virgil and smashes his head to the ringpost. Hogan gets back in for Bigelow to hit two headbutts. Hogan is on the mat and Bigelow goes for the flying headbutt at the top rope. As he goes for it, Hogan gets out of the way and Bigelow makes impact on the canvas. Hogan starts to hulk up, Bigelow is badly hurt but starts to attack Hogan, Hogan feels no pain and bodyslams Bigelow three times and finally the leg drop for the three count. Winner: Hulk Hogan Andre the Giant (c) with Ted Dibiase vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper with Hulk Hogan for the WWF Heavyweight ChampionshipRoddy Piper enters the ring to a big pop, everyone is on there feet with Hulk Hogan as his manager for the match (Hogan is with a black and red sleeveless shirt) as they enter the ring. Piper takes off his kelt and shirt and Hogan is at ringside. Andre the Giant walks out (with the new WWF belt by his side) and enters the ring with Ted Dibiase (who is at Andre's corner). The bell rings and the crowd blows the roof of the stadium as soon as Roddy Piper starts attacking Andre, scratching is face and poking his eyes. Piper goes nuts as Andre is practically blinded. Piper goes behind Andre and starts to kick his rear. Andre is trying to find Andre, rubbing his eyes in the process, but Piper starts to kick his rear over and over again. Piper goes to the top rope and jumps on Andre's back and hits the sleeper hold. Andre is feeling weak but manages to squash Piper into a corner. Piper hangs on to the corner as Andre is able to see now. Andre goes for a massive headbutt, but Piper gets out of the way and Andre hits his head on the turnbuckle. Piper runs to the ropes and Andre faces him, Piper hits a running high knee strike on Andre who hangs by the corner. Piper hits a few jabs and goes to the top rope and manages a ten punch on Andre. Andre is dazed, Piper goes to the ropes to hit another high knee kick for Andre to hit the big boot on Piper. Piper is out cold. Andre hits the elbow drop for the pin. Piper's hand reaches the ropes to break the count at two. Andre grabs a hold of Piper and gives him a bearhug. Piper is in intense pain (Jesse says the little guy is going to be squeezed to death!), Hulk tries to enter the ring to help, but the referee tells him not too. Piper faints as the referee goes for the arm count. As he does, Hogan enters the ring and as he is about to break it, the referee gives him a final warning and Andre breaks the hold. Andre and Hulk are face to face as the crowd watches. Piper struggles to get up till Ted Dibiase starts pounding on Piper and runs out of the ring. Hulk leaves for the ringside, as he exchanges words with Andre. Andre turns his back and grabs a hold of Piper (the referee is distracted by Hogan) and Piper hits a low blow. Andre shouts loudly (Vince says the stadium shook after that one and the referee is no looking back at Andre). Andre is in so much pain that he actually falls on his rear, sitting in the middle of the ring. Piper gets angry and starts to hype the crowd, he sees Andre on the floor and gives him the Sleeper Hold. Andre is fading away till he sleeps. Hulk Hogan starts to chase Dibiase around to make sure he doesn't interfere. Jesse is in great shock and Vince says it's gotta be over now. The referee does the arm count till he goes to two (a prolonged count as it seemed to build suspense). Piper breaks the hold to a crowd shock. Hogan almost ready to celebrate looks at Piper completely shocked and without words. Piper is at a corner looking and smiling at Hogan. Hogan says a few words to get back in and Andre finally gets up. Hogan screams out what are you doing? Piper finally says "This one's for you Hulk." Andre is up and hits a headbutt to the back of Piper's head. Piper is on the canvas as Andre hits the elbow drop for the pin to three. Winner: Andre the GiantJesse says Piper will never be able to come back to the WWF now, he celebrates as Vince screams out "I can't believe it! He had it won! Why would he do such a thing?!" Jesse says Piper probably smashed the bottle so hard at the Royal Rumble that it loosened up more screws. Hogan is in shock as he enters the ring to help Piper. Andre is celebrating with Dibiase, till Andre hits the championship belt over Hogan's head. Dibiase says for Andre to tie up Hogan, and Hogan is now tied up on the ropes, dangling as he watches Andre hit another elbow drop on Piper. Hogan is trying to get out of it as Ted Dibiase grabs a few dollars from his sidepocket and stuffs it down his mouth. Dibiase starts kicking Piper and tells Andre to make sure he doesn't even go back to Hollywood. Andre hits the ropes and does a big splash on Piper. Suddenly, Macho Man Randy Savage runs in to a huge pop with a steel chair and smashes it over Andre's back (Ted runs away), Andre jumps out quickly in pain and they both watch as Macho Man goes nuts in the ring. Hogan leaves with Piper on a stretcher. Backstage interview with Mean Gene and Hulk Hogan:Gene: I just got an update that Piper is being rushed to a hospital due to his injuries he sustained at the hand of Andre the Giant and Ted Dibiase (Hulk Hogan enters the locker room) Hulk: Ah man, ah man I can't believe it (walking back and forth nearly in tears) Gene: Hulk Hogan, in all my years I have never seen such an act of barbarity and worst of all, Rowdy Roddy Piper had the match won! Hulk: I don't get it Mean Gene, I don't get what was Piper thinking man? What was going on in his head? What's worst is I couldn't save him man, I couldn't help, I felt helpless hanging on the ropes like that. Gene: I must say if it wasn't for the Macho Man, who knows what more they would have done to Piper or even to you! Hulk: Thank god for the Macho Man Gene, he was cheated out of the Intercontinental Championship tonight and I hope he gets his revenge Mean Gene. Gene: What about you Hulk Hogan, after all that you've been through, after all that Andre the Giant has done, I must ask will you challenge Andre the Giant to a match at Wrestlemania 4? Hulk: This has been hard to live with man. Andre the Giant, one long year you've been champion man, you've been hiding for months and months in, but I want you to realize this Andre the Giant, you see no marks, no scars, no blemishes on the Hulkster brother! But Inside man, inside you've been haunting my mind man, you left a big scar in my heart man and everywhere I go everyone asks me how it feels to have lost to Andre the Giant, well now I tell them it was great! It was the best thing to have ever happened to me, no more whining and crying, no more vacations or hiding, Andre the Giant let's end this man, as two titans collide, the final straw, put the Championship gold on the line and what you're going to do Andre the Giant, when the world finally sees you fall and Hulkamania runs wild on you (poses and looks in the greatest shape ever) [hulk leaves].Gene: There you have it folks, Hulk Hogan challenges Andre the Giant for the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship!

Superstars of Wrestling, February 13th, 1988 Hershey, PA Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura
Snake's Pit - Jake the Snake talks about The Main Event and how tragic it was to see Piper lose the Championship match and he was glad he is recovering and will soon be back in Hollywood to shoot a movie. Jake says that he was to bring out Andre the Giant, because Hulk Hogan has issued out a challenge and he wants to know if Andre accepts. Andre the Giant walks out with Ted Dibiase and Virgil. Jake: Andre the Giant, I want to congratulate you on your victory over Piper, because seriously he had you asleep and you came out the victor. Ted: Now you just shut your mouth there Jake before the big guy shoves your pet snake down your throat. Jake: (laughs) I think Ted, the Giant is afraid of snakes. Andre: (a serious tone) Listen to me here Jake the Snake Roberts, you called me out here so you talk to me Jake: Fair enough big guy, Andre, Hulk Hogan has issued out a challenge against you for the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania IV, I want to know... Ted: Hold on a minute, my client here doesn't have to accept the challenge. Jake: Andre let's forget this guy because as you can see you want me to speak to you directly... Ted: No no! Andre listen to me, you don't have to answer this man (grabs a hold of Andre's shoulder). In fact we already have an opponent for you at Wrestlemania so don't answer. Andre: (points at Dibiase) Get your hands off of me (some in the crowd cheer as Ted lets go), I know you are only after my belt. Jake: (laughs) Let the big guy speak, Andre will you accept Hulk Hogan's challenge or not? Ted: No! Andre, think about it, think about what we talked about! Andre: Hulk Hogan...Hulk Hogan...this man is like a parasite, everytime time I squeeze him he comes back, everytime I squash him he gets stronger. So Hulk Hogan, at Wrestlemania IV, you got yourself a challenge. So let's end this once and for all. No looking back, because this time I will pin you one, two and three, "aur revoi" (leaves as Ted argues with the Giant with Virgil on the way out) Jake: (the crowd cheers) Andre the Giant has accepted the challenge so there you have it, Wrestlemania IV, Hulk Hogan will take on the WWF Heavyweight Champion Andre the Giant!

Superstars of Wrestling, February 20th, 1988 Hershey, PA Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse VenturaSpecial Announcement from Jack Tunney:It has come to my attention that on February 5th, the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase handed over the WWF Intercontinental Championship belt to Don Muraco. Based on World Wrestling Federation regulations, a title cannot change hands by simply handing over a title to another competitor unless it was a forfeit during a match. Because Ted Dibiase did not have a match with Muraco, Don Muraco will not go in the record books as a Champion and in effective immediately has to return the WWF Intercontinental Championship belt to WWF Officials.
After careful consideration, the WWF has decided to award the championship to the winner of a match between Don Muraco and Randy "Macho Man" Savage at Wrestlemania IV.
As for the World's Heavyweight Championship, a contract has already been signed by both Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant for the main event at Wrestlemania IV.
The Tag Team Champions, The Hart Foundation will be taken on Demolition who have finally made there rightful challenge for the championship. (Hart Foundation never lost the title and have held it for over a year, both teams are still heels).
Women's Championship Sensational Sherri will be taken on Rockin Robin and lastly when it comes to championships, the King's Crown will be up for grabs when King Honkey Tonk Man defends his crown against Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat.
Also, a special trophy is being made ready for the Strong Man competition that will be held between Ultimate Warrior, Hercules and Dino Bravo. The competition is in three categories, the first being weightlifting, second arm wrestling and lastly to determine who can hold on to the gorilla press the longest. There will be much more at Wrestlemania IV. Thank you for your attention. On the Snake's Pit, Jake invites Bam Bam Bigelow and asks him how he feels about losing to Hulk Hogan till Bam Bam Bigelow attacks Jake viciously. Soon after, Jake asks for a match for Wrestlemania. On a podium during the event at Hershey, Ted Dibiase wanted to prove that everyone has a price for him. He calls out the One Man Gang and Slick and gives Slick a briefcase of money as Slick leaves the podium all happy that he has sold off his client. One Man Gang is excited about the opportunity and shakes Dibiase's hand with him. Ted Dibiase says he has two more men to buy. He says that Rick Rude's contract is negotiable and calls him out. Heenan rushes out and says what in the world is he doing and that Rude is his. Ted and Heenan argue on till Rude walks out and says no thank you. Heenan begins to leave with Rude till the One Man Gang attacks Rick Rude and WWF Officials stop them and send them to the back. Dibiase gets nervous and says he has one last offer to make to make his family the greatest family in professional wrestling and calls out Brutus Beefcake. Beefcake wonders what's going on and Dibiase offers him a cash advance of $500 to join his new faction, the Million Dollar Family. Brutus takes the money and stuffs it down Ted Dibiase's throat and attacks Virgil. Beefcake says he is not for sale. Dibiase issues out a challenge at Wrestlemania IV. Vince McMahon makes comments how the Dibiase-Heenan alliance has broken and that it'll be great to see Beefcake take on Dibiase.

Gorilla: Low life? Bobby: Yeah, he was happy to be sold off to Dibiase. Gorilla: I remember you a bit happy when you took money, not to mention that he took Andre away from you. Bobby: Andre will be back with me, he's not happy with the One Dollar Man. Gorilla: (laughs) One dollar man? Bobby: Yeah you heard me, he's the one dollar man. Gorilla: The Million Dollar Family is growing Brain. Bobby: But not his head, the one dollar man that is. Gorilla: Looks like I was right all along Brain about you and Ted. Bobby: Right about what? Gorilla: (shakes his head) folks, Wrestlemania IV has been sold out for months so ask your cable operator to bring Wrestlemania IV into your home or watch it on Closed Circuit television at locations near you. And you wouldn't want to miss it because Brain will be in a match. Have you been working out by any chance? Bobby: Of course, I've been hitting the gym because of that good for nothing Animal Steele. That man needs to be in an asylum and I'll send him there. Gorilla: What about the main event? Bobby: Andre the Giant is with the wrong man right now, but when he crushes Hulk Hogan, when he destroys Hulkamania once and for all, he'll have the championship with him and be by my side as I manage the Heavyweight Champion of the World. Gorilla: Whatever happens, it'll be the biggest rematch in WWF History and I can't wait to see this one.

Dibiase attacks Hogan right away, stripping the Hulkamania shirt away. Hulk starts to hulk up and tosses Dibiase out of the ring. Andre and Hulk exchange a few words till Dibiase is back in. They lock up in the centre of the ring and Hulk easily manages to throw Dibiase to a corner and starts to pose. Dibiase can't believe the new found power of Hulk Hogan (who looks bigger than ever), he leaves the ring to much heat to speak to Virgil. Andre isn't even caring for Dibiase and he exchanges word with Hogan. Hulk gets out of the ring and pulls a double headbutt to Virgil and Dibiase, as they smash into each other making them fall on the outside. Andre watches and does nothing, Hulk throws in Dibiase and tosses him to the ropes for the big boot and makes impact. Andre shakes his head and enters the ring. Hulk and Andre are at a staredown till Virgil smashes Hulk with a steal chair. Hulk barely feels its impact and turns around, but Andre gives him a chokehold from behind. Dibiase starts to punch the Hulkster's gut at the same time till Randy "Macho Man" Savage runs in with a steel chair and attacks Andre, Dibiase and Virgil as they leave the ring. Hulk is on his knees in pain from the chokehold. Hulk is up and he looks at Randy. Randy drops the chair and puts his hand out and Hulk looks at the crowd. Hulk and Randy do a huge handshake for the first time (the famous Mega Powers shake) and pose for the crowd for the event to end. Vince already calls it the "alliance between the Madness and Hulkamania, the Mega Powers!"

Andre gradually makes his way up, wobbling and dazed Hulk finds him and nods to the fans as he scoops Andre up in the air for a BODYSLAM and succeeds (Jesse shouts three times "I don't believe it!"). The crowd explodes as they can't believe what they saw. Hulk goes to the ropes and hits the leg drop for the three count. Winner: Hulk Hogan and New Two-Time WWF Heavyweight Champion of the WorldAftermath: "Eye of the Tiger" music is playing, Heenan rushes out to help out Andre to get out of the ring and shouts at Hogan. Hogan celebrates in the ring (as Andre and Heenan leave) holding the new Championship and thanks the big guy upstairs. On a camera Hulk says thanks to Roddy Piper. Vanna White enters the ring and celebrates with the new champion. Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth are out to congratulate Hulk Hogan on his win. The celebration continues as Hulk and Macho pose for the crowd for Wrestlemania IV to end.

Guess that wraps it up. That was a very enjoyable read, thank you. If you were to do another fantasy scenario - could it be the buildup to a WM 8 Hogan vs. Flair match?

Thanks, I'll think about that one as a possibility in the near future. I'll post the aftermath of this feud and what my next plans for a fantasy scenario.

The Hulk vs. Andre AftermathThe main feud is over and resulted in many changes in the business model and characters in the WWF (therefore altering history). So what mostly happens after Wrestlemania IV? 1. Hulk Hogan's last major confrontation (beside house shows) with Andre the Giant happens at WrestleFest 88 in a Steel Cage Match. Hogan wins by leaving the cage. The match was announced right after Wrestlemania IV, but not much was build to it with the exception of Andre's return to the Heenan Family. The main feud for Andre is with Savage and he would never win the WWF Heavyweight Championship again. Hulk Hogan starts to defend his title by feuding against the Million Dollar Family.
2. The Million Dollar Family gets stronger: Ted Dibiase, Virgil, One Man Gang, Bam Bam Bigelow and Don Muraco. Two new members later join in: Bad News Brown and Dino Bravo.
3. Macho Man starts a feud with the Heenan Family (going away from the IC title scene) by setting up a rematch against Andre the Giant at an upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event. Macho defeats Andre via countout.
4. Heenan Family now consists of: Andre the Giant, Hercules and The Islanders. Sensational Sherri eventually becomes a new member as Heenan has a quest for more gold (she finally gets the championship back at SummerSlam).
5. Mega Powers first debut is at SummerSlam 1989 against Andre the Giant (with Bobby Heenan) and Ted Dibiase (with Virgil). Heenan and Dibiase at this time are at a truce to destroy the Mega Powers.
6. Jake "the Snake" Roberts continues to get a big push despite his issues in his personal life. Vince doesn't want him to be a "babyface jobber for Hogan's opponents" anymore, but a major competitor as he continues as a big draw, especially after the win against Bam Bam Bigelow. Jake even teams up with Rockin Robin to take on Andre the Giant and Sherri in a "unisex tag match" as part of a new feud for Andre. At Wrestlemania V, Jake Roberts defeats Andre the Giant via pinfall, establishing him as a main eventer.
7. Women's Division in the WWF continues as Vince McMahon decides to push the division further and hires more female atheletes (mostly from outside of the States) as well as a new contract signing with Misty Blue Simmes and (the return of) Debbie Combs.
8. A new TV show in early 1989 debut's on Wednesday Mornings known as "Good Morning Grudge" with Vince McMahon, much like his night show he used to have before (with interviews and highlights, but more focus on building feuds), Vince brought in "WWF Federette" Suzette Ferrara as a co-host. Vince's eventual objective was to compete in the morning show categories and by 1990, planned for a big change to the business by going after the soap craze. While focusing more on live TV events, Vince also continues the Slammy Awards each year.
9. Mega Powers explode by early 1989. Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage turn on each other over Miss Elizabeth (in a love triangle type of storyline). Both are still babyfaces and Randy challenges Hulk to a match, Hulk offers to put the title on the line to see who the better man is and who deserves Elizabeth by there side.
Wrestlemania V returned to Trump Plaza, Randy "Macho Man" Savage defeated Hulk Hogan via a clean pinfall after Hulk went for the Leg drop and missed, Macho hit two diving double axe handles to wear down Hogan on the mat (as he struggled to get up twice) and hits the Elbow Drop from the top for the pin. After the match, Hogan gets in the ring with the WWF title and gives Macho the belt and they shake hands with Elizabeth giving a group hug. They leave the ring together as the Mega Powers. Hulk Hogan announces a "retirement" and goes after hollywood, Piper style.
10. Macho Man Randy Savage feuds one last time with Andre as Champion and defeats him. He continues to feud with many competitors including Bad News Brown and Ted Dibisae. By the Royal Rumble, the WWF changes drastically and here begins the great scandal that shocked the world, which included Macho Man's biggest feud yet.Next up (continues this timeline): The Scandal of the Snake - Jake's Destiny - Link - wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wrestlingsims&action=display&thread=263698
