Prime Time Wrestling, July 20th, 1987 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" Heenan
Near the end of the show (after showing a Ted Dibiase proo) they talk about the upcoming tournament and how the Superstars are gearing up for there first round matches (there were promos on Superstars two nights ago). Gorilla says that an official announcement is being made in regards to Andre the Giant as Heenan says he can't wait to here what Tunney has to say. WWF President Jack Tunney: After careful review of the video tape provided by Jake the Snake Roberts, and discussions with officials in Japan, it has been confirmed that Andre the Giant did in fact participate in an unscheduled match in Japan and although it was for the championship, the actual belt was not seen at the event. We asked officials in Japan to confirm the date of the taping and no answer has been provided as of yet.
As the new Belt was presented at a later date, there is a possibility that this match was taken place before Andre requested his vacation time with the World Wrestling Federation. Although this could mean he would continue his vacation time, he may be liable for his actions for having an unsanctioned match. Before we make a final conclusion of whether or not Andre will have to make a return on August 1st for Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC, we are requesting that this week on Superstars on July 25th, that Andre the Giant make a quick stop at the Snake's Pit. If Andre refuses to be there, his vacation will be declared void and we may be forced to take action and strip him of the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship. Gorilla: There you have it, Andre has no choice so Brain, will he be here? Bobby: This is crazy, Andre is trying to enjoy his vacation time as he deserved. The man has been undefeated for over fifteen years, day in and day out wrestled, the blood, sweat, tears and injuries the man can't be harassed like this. Gorilla: This isn't harassment Brain. The statement has been made and Andre could lose the title if he doesn't show up. Bobby: Well...well...we'll see [bangs the desk hard] Gorilla: An angry Brain, what else is new.

Superstars of Wrestling, July 25th, 1987 Glens Falls, New York Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse VenturaSnake's Pit - Jake Roberts says he's excited about tonight's show because not only is Jake getting ready for his match against Don Muraco, he wants to see Andre the Giant. Out walks the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase and his bodyguard Virgil. Jake: Um, how can I help you...million dollar man is it? Ted: How can you help me? Haven't you heard? You see Mr. Snake, you won't be facing Don Muraco on August 1st. Jake: Excuse me? You come here with your bodyguard as I can see, telling me who or who I am not going to face? Ted: No because he's given up his tournament slot to me (laughs) [gets a lot of heat from the crowd] Jake: Given up the slot to you? Ted: Don't you know? Everyone's gotta price for the Million Dollar Man (laughs). Jake: Well it's nice to meet you pal but if you say... Ted: Do you see my bodyguard Virgil here? In his pocket is a hefty amount of bills [camera zooms in to Virgil's hands as he holds up multiple number of $100 bills] if you know what I mean Mr. Snake? Jake: [laughs as Ted laughs as well, Jake feels Ted's jacket and tie] Well Mr. Million Dollar Man, I'm not for sale. Ted: Just think about it. Think about it, there's alot more in it for you. Jake: How about you just leave, the both of you? Ted: I'm fine with that [laughing they both leave]. Jake talks about how strange that was and that he isn't for sale at all, but wonders how Don could do such a thing and likely took money to exchange a chance for the title with that wealthy man. Jake introduces Jack Tunney out (who walks out) and calls out for Andre to make it out. A minute later... Jake: It looks like Mr. President, that Andre is going to have to forfeit the title [before Tunney could say anything Heenan walks out] Bobby: [trying to catch his breath] Andre the Giant is on his way out! Andre is on his way out. Tunney: Well then Andre please come out. Bobby: He's coming, but I do have to warn you Tunney, what you're about to do is a big mistake. Tunney: You have no right to threaten me, you hear me? Bobby: No Mr. Tunney, I don't mean too [out comes Andre in a gray suit to huge heat] Tunney: Thank you for coming Andre [Andre is silent as Jake places the mic infront of Andre and Andre waves at the crowd with a smirk] Well Andre, I must say, the world wants to know, did you put the WWF title on the line in Japan in June? Did you have a match? [Andre stares at Tunney and doesn't say a word]. Bobby: Can't you see his tan? What wrestling match, what proof is there that he had a match last month? Tunney: I'm not speaking to you Mr. Heenan, Mr. Roussimoff, Andre, please answer the question. Andre: [pointing his finger at Tunney] you called me from my vacation to ask me this? Tunney: You must understand Andre... Andre: No you listen to me here, I am the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion and I will return to the WWF when I say so. Tunney: Mr. Roussimoff, you are forcing me to take action here. Andre: Mr. Tunney you are making a big mistake. Tunney: And what is that supposed to mean? Bobby: He means that Andre has a set of lawyers ready to sue the WWF for breach of contract. [Hogan wants out to a huge pop, he stands infront of Andre to a staredown as Andre smiles] Hogan: Look at you man...look at you Andre. What are you afraid of man? Bobby: Andre has nothing for you, he's a man still on vacation. Hogan: Answer him Andre, you can't even deny it man, you can't deny because you really did have a match brother. Andre: When I return Hulk Hogan, you won't have a breath left in you after I am done with you. Hogan: Come on Andre, it's a non-title match Andre, you and me man, face to face on August 1st. Bobby: Too bad Hogan. [Hogan strikes at Andre repeatedly, till Andre manages a chop and knocks Hogan on top of Damien's pit. Damien crawls over Hogan as Jake tries to hold back Andre] Andre: You want a match Hulk Hogan... Bobby: Leave it Andre, leave it alone. Andre: You got a match [crowd cheers as Andre and Heenan leave, Jake gets a hold of Damien and places him aside as Hogan tries to get up] Jake: Hogan are you alright? You got your match man...you got your match. Hogan: [gets up] I got my match, I got my match!

Ted Dibiase via Disqualification (Ted Dibiase gets kicked out of the ring by the referee after trying to be bribed) Finals:King Harley Race wins as Macho Man was unable to compete. Harley starts to celebrate being announced the No. 1 contender. As they reach backstage to Mean Gene, Bobby Heenan celebrates with Heenan saying that Harley now doesn't have to challenge Andre. Harley is looking confused and askes Heenan why not? Heenan tells him to shutup and he'll take him to better places. Harley tells Heenan to shut it and walks out. Heenan is frustrated and says he is managing a bunch of idiots. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant (c) in a non-title matchHulk Hogan walks out, poses and waits for Andre. President Jack Tunney makes his way into the ring. Tunney takes a mic and says he would like to apologize to all fans around the world, but that Andre the Giant will not be competing tonight (crowd boos). Tunney says he just got off the phone from Andre's lawyers and that the WWF and Andre have agreed to allow Andre to complete his vacation time with the Championship title. However a date for a return has been reached and Andre will return on October 3rd to face King Harley Race for the Championship. Hulk Hogan can't believe it and starts to freak out, he grabs a hold of Tunney as Tunney screams out for help. Suddenly Andre rushes into the ring with a gray suit on (as quickly as he could as Hogan continues to threaten Tunney), Gorilla screams out "don't do it"! Hogan pushes Tunney on the mat as Andre grabs Hulk's neck from behind and squeezes as he laughs out loud. Andre continues to squeeze, making Hogan faint, till Hogan starts to attack with his elbow repeatedly and Andre is hurt. Hulk starts to punch Andre in the head, he goes to the ropes and clotheslines Andre, who is about to fall. Hulk tries to bodyslam Andre but hurts his back in the process. Andre attacks Hogan's back, but Hogan starts to hulk up. Hogan punches Andre three times in the head and goes to the ropes again for another clothesline to drop the Giant out of the ring as the crowd goes wild. Hogan starts to work the crowd and gets out of the ring. He grabs a hold of a WWF Official who tries to stop Hogan and punches him out. Another WWF Official runs to stop Hogan, but Hogan tosses him aside. Andre is up and as Hogan tries to grab a hold of him, Andre counters Hogan and tosses him to the turnbuckle. Andre stomps on Hogan and throws him in the ring. Andre walks away taunting and shouting out at Hogan. Heenan walks out on his own. Hogan is in the middle of the ring hurt. Heenan grabs a hold of the mic and says that Hogan now has to bow and kneel to someone as he is obligated to do so as he lost a match against King Harley Race. Heenan says that Hogan has to bow and kneel infront of him now. The crowd boos. Hogan is up and is angry. He wants to knock out Heenan but Heenan reminds him that he has to do it no matter what. Hogan calms down and finally decides in shame to get down on one knee slowly (though he doesn't technically bow). As he does so, Heenan shouts out "there is your hero! Where he belongs!" Suddenly Harley Race runs out (to some cheers) and asks Heenan as to what the hell he was doing and that Hogan was supposed to bow to him. Heenan tells him to shut up and that he won't have a match on October 3rd. Suddenly Hogan clotheslines both men out of the ring and leaves the ring as several WWF Officials try to get Hogan to leave. Result: Match never really happens so it isn't recorded in the "record books". After event Backstage Interview with Hulk Hogan:Mean Gene: Hulk once again Andre the Giant gets away with... Hogan: I'm done, I've had it up to here with everything mean gene! Mean Gene: What are you talking about Hogan? What do you mean you're done. Hogan: [shouts in anger] This was supposed to be a night to remember man, I had a chance to face Andre the Giant, I had a chance to test my training man, yah I've been training hard, but that two face Tunney... Gene: Tunney didn't have a choice! Hogan: [shouts] There's always a choice brother! Ever since Andre the Giant came back to the WWF man, ever since he allied with that weasal, turning his ear to him, he's been haunting my mind man [points to his head], I wake up in the morning and I don't see myself, I see you Andre. I go to sleep and all I dream about is getting my hands on you and everytime I do you walk away laughing. It's like I'm living in a horror movie brother and the worst thing is yet to come, I just know it Mean Gene. Gene: How could it get any worse? Hogan: Look at what's happened to me man, I know it's only a matter of time when Tunney suspends me brother. It's only a matter of time when I get fined and the fans turn away from me. Gene: How could you say that Hogan? Your Hulkamaniacs are with you! Hogan: [calms down] you may be right Gene, you may be, but I don't feel it in my heart anymore [points to his heart]. I feel...I feel that something is missing inside me man. When I lost the WWF Heavyweight Championship, I felt that I lost the world, but now I'm losing more than that. I feel that I am losing my soul...[shakes his head] And that is something much worse [hulk leaves]. Gene: Well there you have it, Hulk Hogan has left the building a lost man.

[glow=red,2,300]The Tale of the Tape[/glow] as of August 1st, 1987:
1. Hulk Hogan looks to be in depression and may likely face a suspension
2. Andre the Giant continues his vacation, but has to return October 3rd to defend the Championship
3. King Harley Race may or may not still be with Heenan and he is the No. 1 contender
4. Macho Man will soon feud with IC Champion Honkey Tonk Man after being screwed over, making him turn face
5. Ted Dibiase has already made a mark by getting a big push and will likely feud with Jake Roberts
6. WWF is more focused on Live TV events and keeping up to date on its TV programming, it was later revealed that the August 1st event brought in over 17 million viewers
7. Snake's Pit is officially the successor to Piper's Pit as Vince wants it to be a central show after the failed unreleased "Missy's Manor" show, this will in turn give a bigger push to Jake

Superstars of Wrestling, August 22nd, 1987 Madison, Wisconsin Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura
Snake's Pit - Jake the Snake Roberts says he has a special guest on the show and it's someone he admires a lot and can't wait to bring him out. [Roddy Piper's music hits] Jake: I bring you Rowdy Roddy Piper! [crowd cheers] Piper: Oh it's good to be back! Jake: Just tell us Roddy, how is hollywood? Piper: (laughs) Hollywood is great, oh it's great, I went to a wedding and the bride asked me if we were married before and boy did I meet Cher, oh she was great we had our dressing rooms put together and I let her peep into mine. Jake: Well that is interesting Piper, but what I want to know is why the sudden phone call. I know you're busy with your career, but what was with the phone call about you wanting to make an announcement? Piper: I'll tell you the story, man is this a good one, see when I left Wrestlemania 3 I thought I was missing something. I went on that bus, on that long road to LA that night. I kept thinking, something was wrong. Something really didn't feel right. I knew my match worked out great, I said my goodbyes, I knew it was the biggest event in the history of professional wrestling, oh the crowd was ecstatic! Then I thought about the last match and when I saw the referee going for the three count I just knew, a great reign had ended. A great reign that ended because of a referee's poor decision. It bothered me for a bit, but I thought it was time for Andre to shine. Let the man fight. Then one Saturday morning I find out that Andre is on vacation with the Championship. Oh I was burning inside Jake, I'm telling you I was burning inside. I let it go, but I soon followed Hogan and his few matches and I saw a man that wasn't himself so I thought about the Wrestling business. I thought about what if I gave this man a phone call. I didn't call, I had to think about my future. I mean Hogan and I go way back, we've had some great matches and some good times, but this wasn't right. Jake: What are you trying to say Piper? Are you saying that you're supporting Hogan. Piper: I figured it out Jake, I figured out Hulk's problem. Jake: I would guess it could be fear? Piper: No, he lost that eye of the tiger, the man wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. When I got in the ring with him years back, I knew what he was about, I knew what I was facing. He was more than a man, he was a legend in the making, he was a true Champion and millions followed him. He lost the eye of the tiger and most of all, he forgot where we came from. We came from the streets, I came with nothing but a quarter in my pocket, a kid who wanted to wrestle. Jake: Now the man's suspended. Piper: Hulk, if you're sitting at home and listening, I'm making you an offer. Jake: An offer? What kind of offer are we talking about? Piper: I'm giving you a chance to get that eye of the tiger back, I'm giving you a chance to go to memory lane, to remember your roots, Hulk Hogan I'm calling for you man! I know you've done things your way, but I know you need this. I am asking you Hulk Hogan, I am asking you to let me manage you! [fans cheer] Take it or leave it Hogan it's up to you, but know this, when you're suspension is lifted I won't stop at all to convince you, to fire you up. Jake: Well there you have it [Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase with Virgil walks out] Hey no one asked you guys to be out here. Ted: We can worry about our little problems later Mr. Roberts, hey Rowdy, what is a man like you going to offer to Hulk Hogan that no one else can? Piper: Who the hell is this guy (he asks Jake)? Ted: I am the Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase and this is my bodyguard Virgil. You see the only thing I see that you can offer Hulk Hogan is hollywood tips (laughs) but you see, I'm willing to offer Hogan something better and next week I am calling out Hulk Hogan to take up on a grand offer. An offer not even he will refuse because everyone has a price for the Million Dollar Man. Piper: We'll just see about that.

Superstars of Wrestling, August 29th, 1987 Madison, Wisconsin Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura
Before the Snake's Pit, Ted has a fan kiss Virgil's feet for $200. Snake's Pit - Jake the Snake Roberts is out and calls out Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan comes out with black trunks and red knee pads with white boots (he used it before in Japan) Jake: Hulk Hogan, well wow, you look a little different there, but I guess we need to just cut to the chase. Hulk, you are being offered managerial services from Rowdy Roddy Piper and the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, I must know who are you going to select to be your manager? Hulk: Well brother you gotta keep an open mind man, you gotta look at all the options out there. Jake: Very true, so how about I bring Ted Dibiase out. Ted: [walks out with Virgil] Thank you for coming Hulk Hogan. Jake: You should thank me for letting you come here. [Jake and Ted are at a staredown] Hulk: Well tell me Multi-Million Dollar Man, what do you have for me? Ted: Here is my offer, I will give you four personal trainers, you won't have to fly economy anymore with all these peons...First Class Hulk and I will get you a new WWF contract that guarantees you a title shot, vacation time even as a champion and a million dollar salary (laughs). What do you think of this offer? Hulk: Not enough. Ted: Alright Hogan, I see your a man who likes to bargain. Let me make you a better deal, a two million a year salary from the WWF and merchandise rights, say 25% cut for you and the rest to me (laughs). Jake: That's a pretty big deal Hogan, but I don't think all these Hulkamaniacs are going to like this (crowd says no/boos). Ted: Hogan if you work for me, I'll even guarantee that you'll get your hands on Andre the Giant. Hogan: [nods in agreement] How can I refuse a chance to get my hands on that nasty giant man, but what do you mean by working for you? Ted: You'll be working for me Hulk and when you win the championship, I have a favour to ask (laughs) Hogan: I'm still not convinced Ted, I don't work for anyone. Ted: [Virgil passes over a cheque-book] How about I just write a cheque for $100,000 to any charity you want. You know what I'll send it to your favorite charity. Jake: You giving to charity? Let me guess it's for a tax break. Ted: Come on Hulk (signs cheque and passes it over to Hulk). Who do you think is getting your suspension lifted? Hulk: This would be great, all those little Hulkamaniacs could really use this money (places it under his trunks and nods) Ted: (laughs) you see everyone has a price for the million dollar man! [shakes hands with Hogan and Virgil shakes Hogan's hands] Jake: I can't believe what I'm seeing here, Hulk Hogan if this is what you want, to be in the likes of this man. Hulk: [shaking Ted's hand while smiling, he stops smiling and grasps tightly] I never said I was going to work for you [starts to squeeze Ted's hands as Ted goes on his knees as Virgil looks confused] You listen here Multi-Million Dollar Man [hulks up], you can't buy me, you can't buy my hulkamaniacs, as for your deal you can shove it back into your mouth [punches Ted in the mouth, Virgil grabs a hold of Ted and takes him away] Jake: (laughs) It's about time! [crowd cheers] Hulk I gotta ask, so does that mean your going with Roddy Piper. Hulk: Right now Jake, I've got one thing on my mind, I'm going to send in the cheque to charity fast. [crowd cheers and Hulk leaves the pit] Vince McMahon laughs, Jesse shouts that Hogan is a thief and should be in jail.

Superstars of Wrestling, September 12th, 1987 Fresno, California Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse VenturaSnake's Pit - Jake the Snake's first guest is Macho Man Randy Savage with Miss Elizabeth and talks about how he wants the Intercontinental Championship and talks about wanting to go up against Andre as well. After Randy's interview is done, Jake talks about his next guest being Don Muraco till the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase with Virgil (holding a silver suitcase) come right out to the pit Jake: Oh great, here comes the million dollar buffoon. Now what do you want? Ted: Everything (laughs) Jake: I'm sure you do as you can see I have another guest to speak too and in fact I have been wanting to ask this man after his long absence... Ted: Oh you don't need to worry about Don Muraco, he won't be showing up tonight. Jake: What did you pay him off to leave the arena? Ted: I came out here because I have groundbreaking news, news that is going to shock the world. Jake: And what's that? Ted: Hulk Hogan didn't want to take my offer, Hulk Hogan cashes in that cheque and I say keep it you know why because I'm going to get a lot more in return after this man is done with you. Jake: What man? Who are you talking about Ted: [out walks Bobby Heenan] Mr. Heenan. Bobby: Oh this is great, thank you for inviting me Mr. Dibiase. Jake: This is my show. Ted: Virgil would you hand him over the briefcase please. Jake: Could you please explain? Bobby: [gets a hold of the briefcase] Oh this is great this is fantastic. It's going to be great working for you. Jake: Heenan working for Ted? You've got to be kidding me. Ted: Not exactly, you see there is one man who wouldn't turn down a real offer and because Heenan has a contract with this man to be his manager, I thought why not be a co-manager (laughs)? Jake: Co-Manager? That's a first. Now if you don't mind me asking, who is this man? Ted: Why don't we bring him out? [out comes Andre the Giant to huge heat with the championship and a new black "armani" suit] I hoped you like this new tailored suit! Andre: I love it thank you. Ted: Ladies and Peons, meet my new client, Andre the Giant (laughs)! Jake: [shocked at the idea and pointing to Andre] This man? Heenan I get, Heenan got you the championship, but this guy? Andre: This guy is going to make me lots of money (laughs) Ted: What did I tell you, everyone's gotta price for the million dollar man (laughs) Andre: I got news for you Hulk Hogan, On October 3rd, when I defeat Harley Race, I will be crowned King of Wrestling and you'll be nothing (laughs). Bobby: That's right, King Harley Race will take on Andre the Giant, title for title, the WWF Heavyweight Championship and the King's Crown on the line. And Andre, you won't have to worry about being King, it'll happen. Jake: The King vs. The Heavyweight Champion, this should be interesting. [Out comes Harley Race with his cape and crown] Harley: What in the world is going on, I didn't agree to putting the crown on the line? Bobby: You will agree to whatever I tell you! Harley: You know what I'm sick of this, I'm sick of you, I thought joining the Heenan family again was a good idea, but it looks like you're a sell out (fans start cheering) Bobby: Are you threatening me? [Andre strikes Harley's back hard, making him almost fall unconscious] Andre: On October 3rd, I will have your crown. [Ted laughs as they leave Jake alone, who is trying to help Harley up] Harley: [coughs] Heenan is a yellow belly gutless [screams in pain] egg sucking-dog and as for you Andre, I hope you listen to this, you could go to the back and hide, you've been a man in hiding all this time. I now understand what Hulk Hogan is going through and on October 3rd, on Saturday Night's Main Event, I will walk out the new World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion.

King Kong Bundy & Ted Dibiase via pinfall (Race clean pin over Bundy) Don Muraco has a jobber match with Ted Dibiase announced as his new manager making him now heel. During a jobber match, Bam Bam Bigelow on the mic calls out for Andre the Giant to much fan applause. Later in the show, Rowdy Roddy Piper calls out Hulk Hogan on a podium with Craig DeGeorge. Hogan walks out to a big pop. Craig asks Hulk Hogan if he accepts Roddy Piper's proposal. Piper: Hulk I want to manage the next Heavyweight Champion of the World, but most of all I want to manage and train the man who I know can beat Andre the Giant and know this Hulk, I will show you how to play dirty in the ring (laughs), Hulk think about who you would be dealing with! Hogan: Well you know something Roddy Piper, you and I have been through a lot together, but I have never been in need of a manager and I don't need anyone's help. Piper: Think about it Hulk, I came all the way down here from Hollywood to get you back the Eye of the Tiger, because I know you've lost it. You said it yourself, you lost more than the title, you lost your soul (Hulk nods). The first step for you Hulk is to admit you do need help. So how about I ask all these Hulkamaniacs (Piper chants from the crowd), I think the crowd agrees. Craig: Well Hulk Hogan, you heard it from Piper and I must ask, will you accept his offer? Hogan: I never thought I would be saying this...Rowdy Roddy Piper...(pauses and shakes his head as the crowd shouts for Hogan), Roddy Piper, brother...you got yourself a deal [shakes hands with Piper]. Piper: [laughs with joy] Hulk Hogan you aint gonna regret this! Jesse says he wants to hurl after seeing this and leaves his post for a minute. Vince McMahon laughs and says that it's going to be the partnership of the century.

Hulk: What are we doing here Piper? I want to be there at the Main Event tonight, it's 5:00am in the morning brother. Piper: I want you to start running up these steps, ten times back and forth Hulk: Brother, that can be easily done Piper: [after Hulk completes it] Alright Hulk to the gym. Next clip shows Hulk at the gym working outPiper: What the hell are you doing? Hulk: I'm working out isn't that what you wanted? Piper: [angry shouts] Hit the showers! [Hulk looks confused] Next clip shows Hulk finishing up his shower and entering the locker room, finding his clothes have been taken. Hulk: Ah man what the? [Hulk starts to look around for clothes and leaves with a towel over him. He's out of the gym and its cold out. Hulk shivers though he starts looking around for Piper and bystanders are laughing] Piper: [at a hot dog stand eating one] Hey hulk Hulk: I need clothes man Piper: No you don't [finishes his hot dog] You needed that (laughs) trust me Hulk. Hulk: Ha ha very funny (sarcasm), can we at least get some clothes Next clip has Hogan as a fairy princess, outside of a thrift shopHulk: You seriously want me to wear this? This is part of my training? Piper: Actually no, I thought it would be funny (laughs), don't worry I got you your real clothes, we're heading to Hershey's. Next clip there at the empty stadium looking in the arena as crew members are working on the ring and Piper is eating Hershey's chocolate (Vince got them as a sponsor)Hulk: Why are we here? Piper: You and you're questions hulk, you need to lighten up man. I want you to sit here and look around you. I want you to feel the energy. Hulk: There's no one here? Piper: Exactly. [Piper leaves to the back and Hulk looks puzzled, after a while he starts to nod] Hulk: [to himself] I get it now. *********** Bam Bam Bigelow def. Sika via pinfall, Bigelow after-match interview says he wants a piece of Andre the Giant, with or without a championship. ***Promo*** King Harley Race interview with Mean Gene Gene: King, I have to say, this has to be the biggest match of your career. Race: I've been through a lot in my career, I've won a lot of matches, seen a lot of blood, been beaten and bruised and drained in sweat and I've beaten up a lot of guys. I've beaten good men to earn this crown when I became the King of the Ring, I've beaten a lot of guys for this chance at a title shot. So yeah it is the biggest match of my career, but I know...I'm ready. Gene: But Race, you must admit, you're up against a man who is 7 foot 5, 520 pounds and undefeated for over 15 years! Race: It don't matter Gene, because the man's been out for half a year, he hasn't wrestled since Wrestlemania 3. I'm a fresh man, a strong man, a man who's face the best in the business and came out a winner. I know that because around the world, I've faced a lot of the greats, just as you have Andre. So it doesn't matter if you're a giant, an imp or a bulldog or a snake, this man aint running. Gene: As you may know by his side is not only going to be the Million Dollar Man, but your former manager Bobby Heenan. Race: That yellow-belly two-face sell out, after I win the Championship tonight, I'm going to take him in the ring and give him a beating of a life time and make him bow to the King [walks out] *********** Randy Savage def. Honkey Tonk Man (c) for the WWF Intercontinental ChampionshipRandy Savage hits the elbow drop for the win that night to become the Two Time WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion (Heavyweight name on broadcast is now dropped to not confuse viewers). Randy celebrates in the ring till Ted Dibiase runs in with Virgil. Virgil grabs a hold of Elizabeth and the Million Dollar Man starts attacking Macho Man to much heat. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan rushes in to make the save, attacking Ted Dibiase and Virgil, who run out of the ring. Hogan helps Elizabeth up till Macho Man (who was in pain) was about to hit Hogan. Hogan says he came to help and Macho thanks Hogan with a quick handshake, Hulk congratulates Macho, handing him over the belt (that was on the mat) as Hogan leaves to much cheers. Gorilla speculates this could be the beginning of something great as Jesse denies it as a possibility. ***Promo*** Andre the Giant (Ted Dibiase, Virgil and Heenan) interview with Mean Gene Gene: It is finally an honour to interview this man after all these months of waiting as his Championship now has to be defended for the very first time [Andre and the rest walk in] Bobby: First time? Second, third, a hundred, it doesn't matter Gene. Because this man is the Heavyweight Champion of the World and it's going to stay that way for a long time. Ted: That's right Brain, I've got my money on this man, or should I say Giant (laughs) Gene: Andre, you haven't wrestled in six months, how do you expect to go up against the King? Andre: After tonight, you will be the one who will call me King (laughs) Gene: I don't doubt that as a possibility. Ted: There are no worries, because tonight Andre is going to show the world that he is as good as he was six months ago when he beat Hulk Hogan. Andre: When I get my crown, you'll have to call me King Andre (laughs) [they leave for the ring] ********** Andre the Giant (c) vs. King Harley Race for the WWF Heavyweight Championship and the King's Crown
King Harley Race makes his way out to much of a pop. Andre, Heenan, Ted and Virgil make there way out to huge heat as the ring announcer says Andre is now 550 pounds. Andre is in his black wrestling gear and steps over the top rope to the centre of the Ring (as his managers stand on the outside). The bell rings and Harley runs after Andre only to meet Andre's fist. Harley goes down as Andre laughs. Andre screams "get up". Harley is up and starts to go for a few chops to the chest, but Andre hits a headbutt and Race is down. Andre screams "get up". Race is up, Andre tosses him to a turnbuckle hard till Race falls down. Andre looks at the crowd and waves at them as they boo continously. Harley is on his feet, hanging by the ropes, Andre goes for him till Harley moves out of the way and starts kicking Andre and a few punches, but Andre barely feels it as he headbutts Race again. Andre hits an elbow drop for the pin for two. Andre gets up, grabs a hold of Race and bodyslams him. Andre goes for the ropes for a running elbow drop only to miss. The crowd goes wild as Race is up and goes for the pin, but before the referee counts, Andre kicks out and has Race flying out of the ring. Jesse says "look at the power of Andre!" Andre gets out of the ring, Race grabs for something underneath his tights and tries to use it on Andre, but the Giant blocks and knocks Race with a punch to the ground mat. Andre gets back in the ring and starts to distract the referee from counting. Ted Dibiase and Virgil start kicking down on Race. They throw him in the ring till Andre walks over Race's back, as the King screams out in pain. Andre looks to the crowd and looks over to Race who is trying to get to a corner. As Race is finally up, Andre tries to squash him by running and using his back to the corner. Race moves out of the way as Andre makes impact on the turnbuckle. Race goes for several chops on the Giant who is in pain. Race tries to get the Giant down as he goes for the ropes for a clothesline only to be met with the big boot of Andre. Andre grabs a hold of Race and hits the Double Underhook Suplex for the pin to three. Winner: Andre the Giant and new King of WWFAs Ted and Virgil celebrate in the ring with Andre, Bobby Heenan grabs a hold of the crown and cape and gives it to Andre. Andre has the cape over his back and the crown as he walks around the ring flaunting. The referee hands over the belt as Dibiase holds up the Heavyweight Championship up high. Hulk Hogan with Rowdy Piper walk out as the celebrating ends to a huge pop. "Eye of the Tiger" music is played as Hulk Hogan enters the ring. Andre hides behind Virgil as Hulk starts to Hulk up. Hogan points at Andre and shouts that he'll be seeing him soon and leaves the arena with Piper.

Bobby: Of course I'm proud, the man is the Champion of the World and now he's been crowned King of Wrestling. Gorilla: How much exactly did the Million Dollar Man pay you? Bobby: Look Andre the the Giant is the past, present and future of this business and Hulk Hogan is well, the past (laughs). Gorilla: You have yet to answer my questions about the Million Dollar Man and your affiliation these past few weeks and I believe our viewers want to know why? Bobby: You really want to know don't you? Well how about I tell you this, when you manage the Heavyweight Champion and get offered a co-manager deal by a guy in a million dollar suit offering you a big chunk of cash, you would take it now wouldn't you? Gorilla: But Bobby you lost Harley Race because of it. Bobby: The Million Dollar Family is strong. You have Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude, Hercules, the Islanders, Don Muraco, Virgil and of course the Million Dollar Man who is a great wrestler. Who needs him. Gorilla: Oh give me a break, a great wrestler? He's paying his way to the top. How could you buy into his garbage? Better yet, what is with the Million Dollar Family name? Bobby: Don't we have a show to run here? Gorilla: That's the Brain for you folks. Highlights shown from the Philadelphia Spectrum show on October 10th, originally shown on PRISM NetworkBam Bam Bigelow def. King Kong Bundy via pinfall Macho Man Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth) (c) vs. Don Muraco (with Ted Dibiase and Virgil) for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Macho goes for a roll up count and holds tights for the win. Gorilla: What a match that was Brain, Macho Man defeating Don Muraco, the sell out...like yourself. Bobby: Sell out? I did not sell out. Gorilla: Oh please, you can believe whatever you want, but great things are happening here in the World Wrestling Federation. Rumours are that Hulk Hogan and Macho Man may be teaming up soon. Bobby: Macho is the sell out, I mean look at the guy, he cheats his way to a win and the fans love it. If one of my guys did something like that, they would be harassed. Gorilla: Well this isn't the only tag team in the making, Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff and Harley Race are joining forces as a New Tag Team in the World Wrestling Federation named the "Wonderful Race". What a tag team this is going to be Brain. Bobby: (sticks his finger in his mouth) Sure. Gorilla hypes up The Big Event which is making a return since 1986 (originally in Canada) and now will be in France.

Just a tip... I know it's the 80s and all, but maybe the name "Wonderful Race" would give connotations to white supremacy. WWF was very family-friendly then. Just trying to help keep it realistic.

Superstars of Wrestling, November 7th, 1987 Syracuse, New York Announcers: Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura
Snake Pit - Jake the Snake Roberts enters the Snake Pit and talks about the state of the WWF. Says he can't believe a guy like Honkey Tonk Man is now the King of Wrestling. He says that he can't wait to see the Survivor Series. Hulk Hogan walks out with Bam Bam Bigelow to a pop. Jake: What can I do for you two? Hogan: Well you know something Jake the Snake, me and the big man Bam Bam Bigelow have been hitting the gym and we got to thinking, we are one man short for the Survivor Series brother. Jake: One man short eh, let me tell you Hulk, there must be a lot of guys who want to be on your team, but you see you guys are up against the biggest team of wrestlers ever essembled and it makes me wonder, will you even survive? Bigelow: We have Harley Wonderful on our side, so I think that evens it up more (Hulk nods).' Jake: That may be true, but talk about the team of the World Champ Andre the Giant, the four-hundred plus pounds of King Kong Bundy, the Ravishing one and the tag team Islanders. This is a team that belongs to Dibiase and Heenan, a stable who are more united than any survivor team out there. Hogan: Let me tell you something man, I've beaten guys like Bundy, and I ain't afraid of any of them. Jake: You're forgetting Hulk, that you've never beaten the Giant. The man has been undefeated for over fifteen years, almost sixteen man, how will you get a win from him? Bigelow: It doesn't matter how you win or lose, just as long as you survive. Hogan: That's why Jake we need one more partner man. We need one man who knows how to play dirty (Jake nods), we need a man who isn't afraid of anyone, not even snakes (Jake looks puzzled). We need a man who slithers in the ring and puts on a great show for the crowd. We need a man who can help us win this thing! So I ask you Jake, where can I get this man? Jake: Well, I can't help you there. Hogan: I've noticed Jake, I've noticed that the Survivor Series card is being assembled and I noticed one big superstar that has yet to be part of a team. Jake: Who is that? Hogan: You! (crowd cheers) Jake: Me? You want me to be part of your team? Bigelow: Think about it Jake, this is your shot to be in the spotlight. Jake: I think everyone would agree here that I'm already in the spotlight as you can see I've got my own show, you don't buddy. Hogan: How about we ask these fans what they think...? Jake: Now hold on just a minute (fans cheer DDT)...not that I don't think you don't have a chance to win, but you see there is a bit of a problem I have. Hogan: And what's that brother? Jake: I have a bad feeling about the Survivor Series. The reason why I never signed up to be on anyone's team is because I don't think it's a good idea for me to be in the ring that night. You see there are some strange things going on in the back and things you don't even want to know. Call it Snake's intuition. Not to be rude, but if I were to put my money somewhere, it would be with Andre (crowd boos). Hogan: You can't say that man, you can't give in to the hate, give in to the money, give in to the evil man. Whatever happens, it happens, that's part of life. Roddy Piper made me realize man, that sometimes you just win some and sometimes you lose some. Failure is a part of our life man, but the best thing to do is to stay positive all the way through. You gotta stay positive man, say your prayers, eat your vitamins and train, train hard. Jake: Then count me in (crowd cheers). Bigelow: You won't regret this!

Backstage Interview with Mean Gene:Mean Gene: Ladies and gentlemen with me at this time is the man, the man who betrayed Hulk Hogan this night...(Ted, Virgil and Bigelow walk in) I can't believe what I have seen in all my years! Ted: What you saw was Hulk Hogan the weakling, Hulk Hogan the loser, Hulk Hogan who now has no complaint to a controversial three count. Hulk Hogan you lost (laughs) I told you you made a big mistake, I told the world and what did Piper do for you? That guy is too busy making movies then to train you Hulk. Gene: Bam Bam Bigelow, I see that smile on your face and I must know why, just why did you betray your friend Hulk Hogan? Bigelow: Money walks, money talks and the Million Dollar Man offered me more than Hulk could ever offer. Gene: Is friendship worth nothing to you? Bigelow: Who needs friends when you got money? (they all laugh) Gene: Surely Hulk Hogan will come after you... Ted: Enough Gene, Hulk Hogan is done. The man was seen as the unstoppable force, Hulkamania was running wild for years and tonight you saw the man pinned and humiliated. He trusted the wrong men, he trusted the fans and it backfired on him. Hulkamania is dead, their hero is gone after tonight. So Hulk, I suggest you go back to Venice Beach and think about all the mistakes you've made in your career. Have a swim while your at it and retire. Really Hulk, your days are done. Gene: I don't believe that Hogan is going to retire after this one. Ted: Ask him yourself and Happy Thanksgiving! (laughs as they walk away) Second Backstage Interview with Mean Gene:Mean Gene: I am here now waiting for this man, the manager of Hulk Hogan (Piper walks in) Roddy Piper I must ask how is Hulk Hogan? Piper: (whispers) He's being checked on by the doctors. Gene: I don't believe anyone expected this to happen, your team was on a roll! Piper: That's the thing about life Gene, that's the thing about life and Andre, you think you're so big and strong and yeah I know you're a giant! You are a big and strong man (gets fired up) Andre! You may have won the Survivor Series, but in a Championship Match...oh man I can't believe what I'm about to say. Gene: What are you trying to imply Piper? Piper: All you Hulkamaniacs out there, don't worry, Hulk Hogan will be up and ready heck you win some and you lose some it's life (laughs) but after tonight Andre, you pushed me too far, so far as to make me want to get my boots and tights and kilt and face you for the championship. Gene: Are you saying that you're challenging Andre the Giant? That you're making a return to the ring? Piper: Just one more time, one more match for this rabbid dog, I'm a survivor man, I've been at the bottom of the gutters before and I can surely return there by beating you oh yah it's done man Andre I'm on to you I'm back baby I'm coming back for you, where is Tunney I want a match! (Runs out) Gene: You heard him folks, Rowdy Roddy Piper is issuing out a challenge against Andre the Giant for the WWF Heavyweight Championship!
