It got better when Morgan and Dory arrived but its went back down hill again imo. I still watch it but its a mess for a season then it gets good back to mess. I wasn't a fan of the is Madison dead or alive, then all the stuff with Alicia wasn't needed imo. Love a lot of the characters but just doesn't stay consistent enough.
Of all the Walking Dead shows that's coming out or out,its my least one I'm looking forward too but it was better then the kids Walking Dead.

Dead City was actually decent for a premiere. I thought it would be dumb, but I enjoyed it. Hopefully it keeps the momentum of being decent up and doesn't drag stumble towards a finale.

Yeah, wasn't great but I thought it was a solid first episode. I love JDM and Lauren,so I'm really hoping this goes well.
These last couple episodes of Fear has been great, loving all the tie backs to the original show. I gotta have a Rick/Morgan reunion before this is all done, really looking forward to see what they gonna do in the last 6 when it comes back.

Wow, what a night for The Walking Dead!
SPOILERS BELOW FOR BOTH EPISODE 1 OF "DEAD CITY", AND THE MID-SEASON FINALE OF "FEAR THE WALKING DEAD" - you've been warned
While I have a lot of questions about Dead City, it was solid for the first episode and not "too" unbelievable.... * I'm confused about who "The Marshals" are and why they are treated like actual police? * I read that this will be addressed, but how do these places seem to have electricity? * Okay.... my biggest question, in a post-zombie apocolypse, where resources are scarce, and we're trying to find basic needs to survive - Why on earth would you ever kidnap a kid and add another mouth to feed to your list of problems? I'm pretty sure even "evil" Negan's typical MO was to just come in, kill a few people to send get his message across, and get these people to fall in line. I cannot fathom why "Croat" would have any desire to kidnap a kid (Hershel), transport him against his will across the Hudson River, and hold him captive, feed him, etc. * On a similar note, not sure why Maggie & Negan held that young Marshal hostage either - when your trying to sneak into enemy territory and be "stealthy" - the last thing you need to do is drag some guy that's NOT on your side along for the ride.... just doesn't make sense.
But overall I enjoyed the show & I'm looking forward to more "Dead City!"
Then over on "Fear The Walking Dead" - - - this season has been pretty HORRIBLE so far. Nothing has made sense. But last night's episode was a rare diamond in the swamp!
* Previously this season - Madison came back. Tried to kill Morgan. Morgan tried to kill Madison. Kept going back & forth.... Wren apparently walked right out of Padre and the three of them bickered for what felt like DAYS.... then we go back into PADRE. Then we leave PADRE..... then we've gotta go BACK to PADRE again.... for an island that is stockpiling CHILDREN that can only get on/off the island by boat - - - everyone just seems to come & go as they please. No security. No sense. The writing this season has been horrible.
* As for PADRE - - - see my complaint about Dead City. In a world where survival is questionable - why would you go around kidnapping CHILDREN and adding to your list of dependents? And then keep them completely separate from their parents - who probably would have at least HELPED to give them care. I just find absolutely NOTHING realistic or identifiable about what PADRE is doing. And when half the characters seem to accept it, it's hard for me to believe?
* Half the cast is just missing - hasn't appeared in one single episode; Could we even check in with Strand? Where's the Rabbi? What about Sarah and Wendell? WHERE ARE THESE PEOPLE?
* I'm sorry but that scene where (Shrike's brother, I forget his name) was just ORDERING all the children to shoot was stupid - - - If he was serious - HE should have fired the first shot! Instead he's screaming at all those kids to shoot/kill the hostages - - - meanwhile HE HIMSELF is just holding a gun on one of them, too. NOT shooting. Set the example, dude. You do it first, if you are really serious. The PADRE villains may have been the worst villains in Walking Dead history.
* Dwight & Sherry break up - - - that was kind of strange for me. They've been through a LOT together.... found each other even in the most impossible circumstances. Seemed to love each other. Then last night they just decided they probably aren't right for each other - let's break up. And do what? Go find other people to fall in love with? C'mon.... just seemed strange the way it played out.... maybe they are going somewhere with this....
* And can somebody clue me in on who that was at the end, listening on the radio? I read a spoiler that it's Troy Otto - - - however that looked like a woman's hands (and hair). Which would lead me to believe that it's Alicia. And that would be very cool..... except for the fact that this woman had TWO HANDS? What, did Alicia's arm magically grow back? Or it's someone else..... in which case, I'm clueless.....
* And this is my issue with Fear The Walking Dead - because then, after sitting through all that garbage - you have a gem of an episode like last night - - that paid great tribute to Morgan's rich history and gave him a nice little wrap-up to his story - - - even paying homage to his old friend Eastman! I recognized the graveyard where Eastman is buried right away and I loved Morgan's "goodbye".... fitting that he laid Grace to rest next to Eastman & asked him to watch over her. Just a great, great Walking Dead moment.
Fear the Walking Dead has been a rough ride, but I'm going to see it through to the end. I'm a tried & true Walking Dead fan & I do sit through the trash in order to get cool moments like we got last night. Hoping the episodes leading up to the series finale are light on the trash and heavy on the treasure!

Flair Forever so many great points man, loved reading thru your thoughts. Just like you done ill say now ill have spoilers in my thoughts Ill start off with Dead City, for me the Marshall's have been the weakest part so far(only been one episode,so hopefully ill change my mind). Imo they just make no sense, the young Marshall was the guy's son that Negan supposedly killed right? If so,you would think the main one would made a bigger deal over him. Yeah, the electricity when they want it,cars and gasoline and bullets and things like that always frustrates me about the show. I know its just a show and all that but make it consistent please. Im thinking he took Hershal to get to Negan right? That seems to be his biggest focus with him but he did have the other prisoner/s too,so maybe he does just like to torture people for amusement. Negan seemed to be really shocken when he heard that name,so maybe he's just that f*cked up in the head but if I had to put money on it. I'd say he's doing it to get at Negan for going soft and letting the Saviours dismantle and knew Maggie would get him involved if she had no other option. That young Marshal was my favorite part of the first episode, loved Negan not wanting to deal with his 💩 lol. For Fear, its just way to much filler stuff to be a great show. So many great actors/characters but the story never is as good as it can be. First half of the season was absolutely awful but since Morgan went back to Kings County and gave us all these tie ins,I've loved it and like you said last night was a great hour of tv for a og TWD fan. Sorry but I can't stand Mo,no matter how the teens felt about her. Its no way teenagers, especially teenage boys was following a what ten year old girl, come on. She's become a bad@$$ fighting machine in a couple episodes after not being able to kill a walker just couple episodes back. PADRE was supposedly this great haven to risk your life to get to,then we get there its a scared guy behind a wall and his sister filled with kids. I mean I can't see what Madison and everyone working for them(kidnapping the kids) was that afraid of to make them drop all their values and become a person to take babies away from their parents. From what I heard, guessing Strand and Madison gonna be the focal point the last 6(throwing it back to the beginning of the show) and the first half was Morgan's farewell. This has always been one of my biggest issues with Fear, seems like you never get two or three episodes in a row with the complete cast. I love Morgan, love Alica, loved early Madison,June and Dory was amazing together etc but I like seeing what everyone is up too. Instead we get a 3-4 episode stretch where they don't even mention a main character. I don't think I even heard Strand name even bought up in the first 6,I mean just throw the fans a bone and give us something. I can't understand what it would feel like losing a kid, especially that way but can't see any man would say after all he went through to get back to Sherry. Im out, headed back to VA where no one wants me around and hope you don't get killed in the meantime. This was the worst part of the mid season finale for me and its not close. I've heard the same thing you did,tbh when I heard his name I had to look him up(and i consider myself a decent Walking Dead fan). If its him, thats really, really disappointing for their last big bad. I thought the same lol,I kept trying to see if it was a real hand and thought she lost her mind and was gonna become our last big bad to get back at her mother(and imo would've been A better way to go). Haven't seen much about it but what was he/she putting in the bag at the end after picking up the glasses? I thought it was Alica's fake arm when I first saw it lol. The Eastman stuff was a perfect way to send Morgan off(if that was it for now)and absolutely popped when he called for Rick on the walkie. Just everything about that scene was amazing and such a great gift to give the fans that has stuck around from some low low points. Like I said in a earlier comment the Walking Dead universe better end in a Morgan/Rick reunion, its never gonna feel complete if not personally.

Great thoughts - I'm glad I've finally found someone to discuss this with, since nobody I know has stuck with Fear The Walking Dead this long! Yeah I didn't even get started on my rant about Wren/Mo...... supposed to be 10, acting/looking 16, and a full-scale Pain In The Butt..... ON PADRE - they sort of implied we'd find out WHY Morgan, Grace, Dwight, and Sherry were perfectly fine to just give up all their parental rights and responsibilities. We never got that explanation. The whole "time jump" seemed really poorly thought out. "Okay fans, it's 7 years later. Everything is completely different. Just accept it." It WAS Alicia's fake arm that the mystery person put into the bag. You could see the skeleton forearm & fingers that hers had. Now, since the mystery person had TWO flesh hands it probably can't be Alicia.... And if this person has Alicia's prosthetic arm..... does that mean Alicia is really dead? Because her exit kind of left it open-ended.... I love the mystery of this, but I actually think the only satisfying payoff to end Fear The Walking Dead at this point - would be to reunite Madison and Alicia; Seeing as how the mystery person probably ISN'T Alicia, and that Alicia MUST be dead (right?) since they have her arm...... makes me think we aren't going to get that payoff Clarke reunion. Hopefully that's just what they WANT us to think and we WILL get our Clarke reunion to end the show. DAMN.... when Morgan hearkened back to the "All Life Is Precious" sentiment he learned from Eastman...... I popped big time. Loved that scene.

DAMN.... when Morgan hearkened back to the "All Life Is Precious" sentiment he learned from Eastman...... I popped big time. Loved that scene. Same,I use to go to the spoiling Dead sites but seems like when the og show stopped the fandom stopped and I just can't do stuff like Twitter for tv shows/anything I really enjoy because people will make me start hating it or my life lol. Only person I know irl that still watches regularly is my mom and trying to discuss anything with her is pretty much useless,at the end I'm just trying to tell her what's going on lol I know a lot wasn't fans of Judith but Mo is just way to over the top for me. We didn't get to see it but it took Madison and Daniel(maybe even more) to stop Morgan when he seen the red earlier and then here comes this little girl that stopped him dead in his tracks. Absolutely love Morgan but don't know how much more of her I can take lol. I thought it was and then I got excited thinking she was on her way back to the show but then got very disappointed with finding out who it supposed to be really quick. Yeah,I don't know how they could get away with the real hand being shown, she survived that long after the bite but her growing a new arm back might be to much of a stretch lol I never really thought Madison was dead and tbh feeling the same way about Alicia(not sure about the circumstances of her leaving, did she have another commitment or was it just a writers decision to kill her off?) Because like you said this show just shouldn't end without seeing those two back together in the finale and from all my time watching tv,if we don't see a dead body I'm not convinced they're gone for good. Seeing Strand and Madison on the same team will be a feel good moment to finish the show but still not as good as the og family having a family reunion to end the show. The whole Grace burial scene made it worth it to watch the entire season for me,no matter how hard it was to get through at certain points. Just so many great little Easter eggs in that less then 5 minute scene. That and the Kings County episode just made me miss the great times the show has given us over the years more then I already do. Like I said earlier about Alicia,I'm not sure was it done for a particular reason or what but if not I gotta imagine Althea will have a decent impact on the end of the show too right? They seemed to be making her a main, main character at one point and hard to believe she's not gonna be seen again. Or I guess they could be saving her for the future Rick stuff

I wasn't a fan of Morgan leaving in the mid season finale for the simple fact that it or something similar should've ended the show. Maybe Dwight and Sherri looking for negan.
This season has been an absolute drag. Nothing short of Nick suddenly being alive or Alicia returning can successfully end this on a high note. Dharma and Greg lady sucks. Madison is ass. Strand has to come back right. I can't think of his name but the old Spanish guy. Something has to work out for him right...
Man they blew it with this show.
Dead city kicked ass for a debut so far but we shall see. Seriously. Gimple can't screw up negan can he..

Oddly - did you notice that during the "time jump" Daniel Salazar's dementia just ..... vanished? Because that's what happens to older people who have zero access to medical care and are suffering from dementia.....it just gets better on it's own, LOL. Or was he faking all along? It didn't seem like he was faking it then.... maybe they'll answer this question at some point (I'm thinking they probably won't). And where the heck are Sarah & Wendell? Dead City Episode 2 ROCKED..... geez I might even be liking it better than the original Walking Dead show.... Negan was awesome!

Gimple usually sucks. They got six more episodes to make this end decently but I just don't see it happening. I'm planning on watching dead city episode 2 tonight. Really looking forward to the Daryl show too. Makes me wonder if they will end up doing large crossovers later on with alot of the old group.

If I don't get a Sarah/Morgan scene in the last 6(seems very unlikely) I'm gonna be really disappointed, I need her to call him Mo at least one more time and Wendell was awesome! Negan was back to his "I hope you got your s***ing pants on" days and it was awesome to see, need more of this Negan. The bathroom scene was some great stuff too both him and Maggie. Also loved him and "pigeon lady" together

I really want to talk about Dead City & nobody I know is watching it right now except you guys......
So......
MAJOR SPECULATION-SPOILER-POSSIBLITY - This isn't a spoiler, but if it actually happens, I don't wanna ruin it for anyone.....
I read there is a somewhat "major twist" at the end of this.... trying to figure it out...
Also trying to figure out what the point of "Ginnie" is.....overall, she seems like a pointless addition to this story.... but I think it all ties together....
When Ginnie was at Hilltop - she kept staring at the large Silo.... which people were attending to..... on a farm, silos are filled with grain...
She also seemed to be bothered by the slice of bread she was given......
How does all that tie to the story?
Maggie told Negan that The Croat's group took all their grain. Yet they still have a full silo & are making their own bread. They seem to have plenty of grain.
Maggie is lying to Negan.
I believe that Maggie is luring Negan into New York City so that she can trade him to The Croat in exchange for the return of her son. See, it's true! "People are a resource!"
Due to their history, Negan means nothing to Maggie and she has zero qualms giving him up to get her son back. The Croat probably knew this - and this is the real reason why he took Hershel and is keeping him hostage. The Croat is still bitter about his past with Negan and used Maggie to set this trap for Negan. She needs to deliver Negan alive to the Croat to get her son Hershel back.
This essentially makes Maggie sort of a villain in this whole story, as she's fully betraying Negan this whole time by bringing him to NYC under false pretenses.... UNLESS...... Ginnie is able to warn Negan first!
If this is the direction they are going, I love it. Everyone's big gripe with this show was "Why would Negan and Maggie join together" and this framework makes complete sense. I think Maggie really would do this if it meant getting her kid back home safely. Plus, as a bonus, she gets some level of "revenge" against Negan for murdering Glen.
Of course, I have no doubt, Negan will fight and slither his way out of this mess..... and then what? Does he come back after Maggie to extract his own revenge? Or does he let it slide.....
Thoughts, anyone agree?

That's interesting if she did lie about them taking it,tbh I don't really see why that would make Negan want to help her anymore then he already would knowing Croat took Hershel and his guilt over Glenn. I've been trying to think how the silo fits in to the story myself,so I'm glad you brought this up,I had nothing lol. Yeah,I agree about Maggie just using Negan as trade bait(I say she knew his and Negan's story before Negan told her). I get the whistle is synonymous with Negan for Maggie but she acted like she knew 100% that Negan and Croat knew each other. The Marshall and the little girl seems like useless filler characters, so I'm hoping they become more important by the end. And I'm all for villain Maggie,Cohan is great in that role(loved her in Supernatural and Vampire Dairies). I was hoping she was gonna be the last big bad on TWD but I guess that was never gonna happen when they had this show in the works but now would be the perfect time. I mean that's what the writers gets paid for but really what's after them getting Herschel back? If we gonna get a season 2 and beyond(haven't heard anything, maybe its only meant to have one season). We gotta have something to make us come back and Maggie Vs Negan would be HUGE,maybe that was the reason she wanted to know about Annie and his kid. She could get to them,to make sure Negan goes through with whatever she has in plan to get Herschel back.

"People are a resource!" Due to their history, Negan means nothing to Maggie and she has zero qualms giving him up to get her son back. She could get to them,to make sure Negan goes through with whatever she has in plan to get Herschel back. Yeah I was thinking about that yesterday.... if my theory is correct - what next? I'm thinking..... after much battling, adventure, & walker stuff..... we get to the part where The Croat / Maggie reveal to Negan that this was a setup, Maggie & Hershel are reunited, and the Croat now has Negan captive so that he can begin the official "torture session of Negan" as payback for shooting off his ear all those years ago..... Oh wait...... Maggie, you thought you could trust the Croat? Now you can take Hershel and go home? Nooo..... The Croat goes back on his word to Maggie and keeps them all prisoner (Maggie, Hershel, Ginnie, and Negan) at his NYC Madison-Square-Garden Lair...... Maggie, you should have known better than to trust a bad-guy to keep his promise. Season 2 ends with all four of them held prisoner. Season 2 can be - - - can Maggie & Negan work together to get themselves and the kids OUT of NYC...... with Negan now knowing that Maggie betrayed him from the beginning. The dynamic will be different with a pissed off Negan and a guilty Maggie. She may even be put in a situation where she'd need to rescue Negan out of guilt - and/or IF Negan DOES get them out of this mess IN SPITE of Maggie's betrayal....... is she THEN obligated to fully forgive him for murdering Glen? I still don't fully understand how Perlie fits into all of this.... except as a spoiler, who keeps messing up "the plan" for Maggie/Negan. A lot of neat possibilities here and yeah, I know my speculation has gone way off the script....
