yeah! Hopefully it's an extended episode like tonight's was. I think it supposed to be around a hour and 15 mins next week . This was a great episode even better then I expected it to be from the spoilers . I hope we see Michonne or Judith let Negan out next week and get to see a Negan vs Beta fight. Since Alpha mentioned wanting to meet the Queen I hope we get Killer Carol back to match up with Alpha . I wouldn't expect to see Negan, Carol, or anybody else vs Alpha or Beta until midway through next season at the earliest. They have to drag this out like they do every storyline. We need the usual our heroes are down on their luck, somebody important dies, then they rally, and finally fight back. There will be endless discussions between Michonne, Gabriel, and Negan in his 10x10 jail cell until he finally convinces her to let him out for the good of Alexandria or Judith rebels, breaking Negan out so he can take care of business. As for who should finally take out Alpha, I can understand people wanting to see Carol do the deed but to be honest, imho it HAS to be Negan. Eliminating Alpha is a major step in him gaining the trust of the Alexandrians and assuming a more prominent role, something he has to do to fill the power gap with all the departures and deaths. JDM can carry TWD for a while if they give hm the chance.

Only took them six episodes to actually ing do something this season True. Well if Gimple was still running the show, the heads on pikes would of been the cliffhanger scene...probably just show the reactions, but not like show who it was...kind of like when they had the first person POV shot of someone getting their heads beaten in by Negan a few seasons back.

I remember reading that people were pissed when it happened with Negan. In all actuality if they wanted maximum effect, should of just shown who it was in the finale instead of making people wait 6 months and then not even show it at the start of the episode...like halfway through.

Just scroll back through this thread. I was one very pissed off TWD fan when they left us hanging for six months. They could have shown Abraham dying at the end of the season finale and saved Glenn's death for the next season premiere. It would have been a real curveball for the comics fans who only anticipated one death so they would have spent the summer breathing a sigh of relief that Glenn lived only to get kicked in the balls by his death in the premiere. It was such a badly managed plot twist and cliffhanger. I still get salty thinking about it.

I agree 100 percent its to early right now for any big show downs but I think it might come quicker then mid season next season but I heard they suppose to drag the first big Whisper death from the comics out (sorry if that doesn't make season dont want to spoil anything for somebody that hasn't read the comics get). I just want to see Judith letting Negan out so he can take care of business but it doesn't look like we gonna get that next week with the blizzard coming and maybe something with Eugene's radio. Tbh it doesn't really matter to me who takes out Alpha as long as its between Carol,King or Negan please no Daryl and if Negan doesn't get the Alpha kill I like to see him or Aaron get the Beta kill. I get what you saying about Negan gaining trust but I can see him doing that other ways if some of the things that are being said are really gonna happen. I completely agree about JDM help carrying TWD if they give him the chance but imo I dont think a lot of fans of the show will ever give him the chance no matter what he does they just keep bringing up him killing Gleen I hope I'm wrong because he's my favorite character.

I believe Negan had a rule of not killing women or children.... and it seems that Alpha killed women and children (as well as the Road Clean Up guys).
I can't see Negan being too happy about this either, and he does have that brand new leather jacket he found about 10 episodes back....

Gimple is trash. That's for sure. As wonderful as the show has been this season, I still blame him for Rick leaving; IDK, I just feel like if the show hadn’t become so polarizing because of all the stupid junk stunts Gimple was pulling, maaaaybe Andrew Lincoln would’ve wanted to stick around more? Same goes for Lauren Cohan too, I know hers was a monetary dispute, but for sureeee the slipping ratings and loss of “must see” status of the show had to factor into that? If Gimple never took over I believe we’d be seeing the Whisperer arc play out way more like the comics at this point.

Well I was expecting Ezekiel and Rosita like in the comic - especially since they showed Gabriel before the next reveal - but you couldn't really kill off a pregnant Rosita, and I'm glad they spared Ezekiel. Btw, I don't even read the comics, and I only knew about the heads on pikes, because McFarlane comic series 5, Negan, Lydia and Glenn, came with Ken, Ezekiel and Rosita, severed heads. Obviously Ken bit it ages ago, so they replaced him with his mum. Gimple is trash. That's for sure. He seems like a right miserable bastard. FINALLY they get rid of Tara!!! WOO!!!!!!!! I haven't been that happy to see someone go since Dale. YOU MONSTER.

I was also thrilled to see Tara bite it. My second favorite Tara death in TV history.

Two rules for survival that the latest quell further strengthened: never possess medical expertise, and never be a child under Carol's watch.
Henry was a perfect choice, stupid tail-chasing brat. Tied in well with how much Alpha cared for Lydia in her own twisted way, and how she blamed Henry for Lydia's betrayal. Also Ezekiel was spared, awesome. Too many male leaders have left/are gone already. Was honestly thinking Carol might be one, based on how long she's been on and how well her life was settling down.
Tara being one was a shocker. But she has never really been a favorite on the show, just kinda there. I'm gonna miss Alanna on Talking Dead and off-screen appearances a helluva lot more than the character on the show.
Enid was the biggest loss. The character was just starting to become more likeable for me. Now Siddiq becomes the longest-tenured physician, but he should stick around because of how he came in.

I wasnt expecting a great finale from the spoilers but I thought it was a OK finale at least we didnt have to wait months until we seen who's heads were on the pikes so I was OK with a slower finale. I loved all the Negan scenes I just hope he gets this much to do in S10 Negan+Judith+Dog= the greatest trio on the show for me let them take down the Whispers. I thought we would've gotten the radio at the end but I thought we would've known for sure who it was I was hoping for Rick's voice to set up the movies and Michonne's exit. I know a lot of people are saying it was Maggie but I dont really think it sounded like her I think its just gonna be the same as in the comics. I hope this isnt setting up Zeke to take Carol's Comic exit or him going crazy and go after Alpha and Beta by himself it's rough to see the man lose so much after he had his storybook life. The actress playing Lydia was perfect for the part imo I dont think they could've found a better one and hope she keeps this up and have a bigger role on the show then Comic Lydia did after the Whispers' war.

I'm in the "that was boring" camp for the season finale. Looked like they were treading water between the real season finale last week and whatever is to come next season.
There were two high points for me: - Negan being the ONLY one to go after Judith and the slow progression to somewhat of a good guy even though he will always be the one who pushes the buttons of everyone around him (the father not father - lol). - The voice on the radio. TWD writers and producers as well as all the speculators can dance around it all they want, that was obviously a teaser for the Commonwealth.
Now we have the two month wait until FTWD season 5. I wonder if they will do a time jump on FTWD as well to keep it in the same time frame as TWD. I was never a huge fan of FTWD through the first three seasons. I pretty much watched just to see which character I hated more would bite it. Season 4 changed it for me. They introduced better characters that I actually like and left what happens in season 5 completely up in the air. Did they thrive as the providers of a safe haven for survivors? Did they run into a Negan or Alpha of their own who made life miserable? This is honestly the first time I'm looking forward to FTWD.
