LMFAO!!! I love it! They made this big stink about how Live was making a triumphant return, and here it gets cancelled......AGAIN!!! HAHA!
Another year of 2K-only NBA. No complaints from me. 2K has always made better NBA games.

I'm not surprised considering the awful leaked gameplay.

I miss the old PS1 days when it seemed like each sport had 4 or 5 games for it.

I miss the old PS1 days when it seemed like each sport had 4 or 5 games for it. Yeah, a little diversity would be nice. It's interesting how the same people who bitch about EA making the only football game are so happy about 2K making the only basketball game. Blind fanboy hypocrisy, so awesome! I really enjoyed Live 10, so I'm sad they strayed from that path. Now it seems like no matter what EA does the fanboys are gonna hate. The 2K game does a lot of great things - but this one sided allegiance to them gets old. The 2K fanboys actually make me enjoy the 2K games less!

I never played a 2k game, not since the Dreamcast days anyway. I heard that this year's NBA 2k will feature the 2012 and 1992 USA Teams which, if true, basically assures I'll buy it.

There's a bit of a difference. There's no contract preventing EA from making an NBA game, they've just been incapable of releasing one that's playable for the past two years.

As said the difference between EA holding a monopoly on NFL games and 2K holding a monopoly on NBA games (which isn't true, as anyone else could make one tbh) is that 2k Games are made right. They aren't the same thing every year. This was the first year since the jump to Current Gen (2006?) that EA changed something about the Madden engine, as said by EA developers at E3.
Regardless, I love the 2k Series. My friend who loved the NBA Live series was telling me that the passing from the old NBA Live games and the dribble stick are what they used to have, and now that it's in NBA 2k there's no real point in getting NBA Live.

The last Live I played was 09 and I still love it. Although I buy them every year, I hate the 2K NBA games and was pumped for another live :/

The disaster that has become the Live franchise is very interesting.
