Picked this Hasbro Savage up for $5 at Fanfest. Spanish card. Interestingly enough is that while it's the Macho Man figure (even on the back of the tights), the name on the card is Macho King. Couldn't pass it up for $5. Picked up the Haku and Hogan for $75 each. -J\/\/

Very good buys on the Haku and Hogan.... worth at least double what you paid.
I have the same Macho Man/King MOC figure. It more common on foreign card than it is on the proper US carding.

Good buys on the Haku and Hogan. I tried winning a Haku a few months back on Ebay and it went over $120. That was my max bid and I didn't win. Not sure what it ended for though.

nice pickups..two great ljns to add to your collection or sell...great find on the macho king/man variation, never knew anything about it...wouldve been weird if he had the same card as yours but still had his crown and sceptor.

Yeah, the conventions, at least the ones I've been to, are the places to get stuff cheap. I got loose mint Haynes, Neidhart, and Adonis (looks like him came right off the card) for $12 total, my friend got black strap Andre, Bossman, Bigelow, and white Hogan all loose for about $15...got a mint Patera for about $10, Elizabeth with gold skirt for $10.
A dealer got a Slaughter LJN loose for $10 and a Dusty Hasbro carded for $10...yes...$10. I missed these because I was getting the Haku and Hogan and a Freebirds set to get signed by Buddy Roberts, which were my priorities, so I wasn't upset.
Oh, and for all of you AWA Remco fans out there, I had to ask Boris if he knows how sought after his figure it is. He knows, and he actually has several of them. :-)

Great buys, I love that Hogan & Haku. You should feel lucky to find them MOC at such a great price.
Hope you enjoy them.

They released Hasbro Macho King with the accessories, then the next series on, they released the SAME figure, but with Macho MAN written on the back of his trunks, and no crown/scepter. This was because Macho KING lost to (I think either Mr Perfect or Warrior) in a career match where the loser left. So he dropped the "king" gimmick and came back as the Macho Man... Cracking buys on the LJN front though mate

I just found it interesting that this foreign version still came as "Macho King", while the figure is the "Macho Man" version. It was Warrior. Cracking buys on the LJN front though mate Thanks! -J\/\/

Nice pick ups at a steal! I've seen that foreign Savage variant on ebay before. I have not found one on a US card though, believe me, I've looked. LOL!

Damn... nice buys! Maybe I should have been looking at the tables a little closer. Which table had the Haku and Hogan?

It seems like that belt was used for more than two years, but I guess not. Either way, the belt from '85 is still missing from that wiki entry, too. It's the one used on the taller, articulated LJN figure and the second run of the red and yellow Jakks CS Hulkster in Wrestlemania 1 attire.

yeah i know which one youre talking about. i doubt jakks will ever make those belts but we can dream. i dont know why we havent seen a replica of big green (thats what i call that belt), i guess its because its wwwf and maybe someone else owns the rights to it?

I saw the MOC Haku and Hogan when I walked into Fanfest, but I passed them up in order to allow my friend to buy them.
Hey, wait a minute...
