Had a conversation earlier tonight with some friends about wrestling in the 80s and how we prefer it over any other era. I was asked, in my opinion, who I thought the best wrestlers in the 1980s were. I figured it could be a fun topic discussed here too so here's what I came up with....
My only requirements were the following..
-Choose 8 wrestlers for each category
-Three Categories- WWF, NWA and "Other"
-Only deal with American companies
-If a wrestler qualifies in multiple categories, put him in the one most signified/successful.

When I think of the 80s I think of how great the tag division was.
Harts, Demolition, LOD, Bulldogs, Powers of Pain etc.
I also think of the obvious Hogan, Warrior and Savage.

It is tough, because some guys could go in very different categories. I'll categorize them as I remember them being at their best.

I left guys like Snuka, Race, David Von Erich, Wahoo and Brody off basically because it was before my time. I was born in '83 and most of them were either passed away or out of the spotlight by the time I was watching wrestling ('86). When I think of the 80s I think of how great the tag division was.
