I pre-ordered the regular version of April. $14.99 shipping, lol. It is what it is, I guess.

Placed my order with Neca...just because. But holy! That Super7 wave looks incredible! All of my Neca’s are in storage and are mainly being bought out of FOMO but I find space for the Super7s.

I don't have any Super7 Turtles yet, but I will probably buy that Ray Fillet. It's such a random character, but I remember playing with the Playmates one SOO much as a kid. Also ordered the standard edition April O'Neil.

Got regular April from NECA, and Leo, Krang, and Leatherhead from S7. Never had Ray as a kid, so no attachment on that one.
Cool to see unmasked Casey. I might actually pay $100 for an auto ultimate of him if they go that route again.

Count me in as someone that knew nothing about the exclusive April. I can't stare at a screen 24/7 so kind of ridiculous. I heard the checkout freezing was your typical neca bs. The price hike on the Super 7 sucks too. I hope they'll do some adjustments because the lack of articulation on Leatherhead & Ray is disappointing, especially the arms.

I'd like to get in on those super 7 figs but it's extremely hard for me to jump on a preorder a year out. That's insane

That's insane Honestly, I can see pre-ordering a year out becoming more and more prominent in the future, especially if things continue going the way they’re going with scalpers and stocking issues. Beginning to end, the process for making figures is generally around a year. We’re used to only finding out about the figures a few months in advance, when the figures are already being produced and production quantities are already locked in. An open preorder model, allows companies to figure out how many to produce so people have a fair shot at getting them. The big guys like Hasbro will likely stick with the normal model on most items. But as more small companies get a larger chunk of the market, preorders long in advance will become more common.

I don't mind preordering stuff that far out if I don't have to pay upfront.

I don't mind preordering stuff that far out if I don't have to pay upfront. I'd rather pay upfront. I hate the idea that "we're just gonna charge you when it ships, with no guarantee of when that will be, so I hope you have a couple grand you dont need at literally all times"

I would have been pretty upset if I had to pay $140+ for the Super7 NJPW figures after 15 months of waiting. When you wait 6+ months for something after paying, it's almost like it's free. I know it's not, but that money is long gone by that point, it might as well be.
