I've always wanted to write comics since I was five and over the years I've had different ideas for characters and story lines. Recently, I've developed two that I'd like to run by my friends here on the board. So read on and then tell me what ya' think!
Citizen U/The Citizen Unknown- A New Haven police officer named Brian Allen struggles with a boring and dreary life while moonlighting as the city's unknown vigilante who kills all who threaten the innocent. The catch is that Allen doesn't even know it. He suffers from a form of multiple personalities where he will shift into the vigilante at "random" points in time and not even be aware.
Infinity (slightly less developed character)- Given the power of life and death (and pretty much everything else) by a fateful bolt of lightning, Cole Wright struggles to control his godlike powers. Choosing the name Infinity, Cole tries to maintain the role of "Super-Man" while possessing the ability to end life with a thought. Will killing in the name of justice keep Infinity from his role as God among men?

Isn't Citizen U just kind of, sort of Ultimate Moon Knight?

Many comic characters share a base or core idea with another. What you have to do is create a really vibrant base that takes the core idea and covers it to hide the similarities. Spawn is the same base idea as Ghost Rider, but because Image had no constraints about demons and Hell the character, his world and the level Hell was allowed to be depicted at hide the base idea and allowed Spawn to quickly become something different.
I like your idea, I would start them out as individuals, a vigilante stalking the night and a cop hunting him down. After a while reveal they are one and the same and then have the man hunt down how he became what he is. Delay the origin so you can quickly set style and tone.

I started writing a script a couple weeks ago and this was kinda the base idea. Thanks for your help!
