I am curious about something and maybe someone can tell me how this works.
I have seen on websites before online of people selling complete seasons of WWF Superstars 86, 87, 88, 89 etc. for like a sum of money. How does that work?? Isn't that illegal??
I figured it would be being that you know the dvds are not something that the WWE released, but something that was burned to dvd.
I know that if you copy a movie onto dvd and try to sell the burned dvd, it's illegal and you can do jail time. So how can people sell burned wrestling dvds?? Is it cause it was on free TV??

It's illegal either way you slice it Too bad we won't ever get official full season sets.

Why hasn't WWE released any more Monday Night Raw sets?
They only released the first year or something.

Why hasn't WWE released any more Monday Night Raw sets? They only released the first year or something. They released the best of the first two years (93-94) in 2010. If I remember correctly, their reasoning for not releasing the rest was that the first set did not sell well. This is also the reason we got The Best of Monday Nitro last year, rather than a set similar to the Raw DVD released in '10. It was a major disappointment that they did not release any further sets. I thought the first the first DVD was excellent and was so looking forward to when they got to 97/98. Maybe one day they will pick back up on them, but I wouldn't count on it.

That sucks.
In all honesty, they should have expected the first two years to not fly off the shelves. Maybe they should have started with the more popular years (97-2003) and gone from there.

I've seen those box sets online to from private sellers. It's for sure gotta be illegal, but I do want the complete 2002 year so badly. I've thought about it for a long time. If you try it & don't get arrested, let me know

ioffer.com use to have everything you are looking for. Many of the sellers have gotten in trouble, had to take the stuff off. I have not been there in a while. If you buy something from someone, save their info, and continue to buy from them after they are banned or whatever happens to them.
Some sets are really nice quality, and people do a good job. It is illegal however of course.

It's a shame because if WWE would put the stuff out, I would buy it. I still have some sellers I have used in the past that I still contact directly if I need stuff. I have a pretty big ioffer collection of stuff that I am pretty certain we will never see on DVD. Especially my 97/98 stuff with HBK and Raven. I have the Best of Raw set, and I think it's awesome. I was so pumped for getting 95/96 and then what should have been the most amazing set they ever put out in 97/98. Maybe they will revisit the issue down the road. They put out Best of WCW and ECW sets but they blatantly leave matches off based on politics and other bullsh*t so I look less and less forward to those type or releases. I will be getting the upcoming ECW dvd but I think it's kind of average based on the match listings.

I just search around YouTube for what I want to watch. Sure, it isn't a full episode of a show, but if I want to watch something from the year 1998 for example, I'll just search for that year on there.

From what I understand, it's only illegal if they are profiting from the sales of others' copyrighted, intellectual property. There's some loophole with "trading collectors" or something to that effect that allows their sale if they are out of print/broadcast. iOffer is a great resource to get things that will never be released/aired again. With old WWF shows, it's about the only way to get the unedited versions.
You won't get in trouble if you buy something.

I have all of these season sets and have never bought anything from iOffer. The people selling on there are taking other people's work (converting from VHS to DVD/.avi) and profiting from it, not to mention the legality issues of it.
Do some detective work on the internet, you might be fortunate enough to stumble upon the key to having all these season sets yourself....for free.

Might be "free", but takes a lot of time (and some money, if you want to burn them to dvd). It wouldn't be any more legal than buying them, though.
Anyway, I looked around and couldn't find what I was looking for (complete SNME collection) though, so I must not be looking in the right place.

I'm pretty sure a DVD of RAW is WAR would sell nice, but they are plenty of accounts on Youtube alone that upload full episodes of RAW.

I wanna reply to this thread but the last time I talked about iOffer, I was given the warning currently being shown under my name.
